I dont want to hi-jack your thread but my DS is a Liverpool supporter and I would love to take him to a match.

Not at all!

The best way is to join him in the supporters club http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/fans/membership, it's not much for kids plus they get some bits when they join, and then you can put your names forward for a ticket lottery. I think they offer about 5000 tickets like this for each game. We have got tickets this way a good few times. Otherwise, keep your eye on the tickets section on the website, they usually offer a sliding scale of availability, first to season ticket holders, then the fanclub lottery, then to anyone else - there are less popular games where tickets go on general release. Definitely take him if you get chance!

Can I just add onto this, its also good to see Mark Halsey back refereeing football games (for those of you who dont follow football, Mark was diagnosed with cancer 18 months ago and missed all of last season)

fully agree!
One of the few refs I've got any time for and was sad to see his diagnosis last year.

As for Steven Gerrard, you must have caught him on a good day as any time vie spoken to him he's been a real miserable lad (sad seeing as he's one of the best footballers ive witnessed in my time watching Libpool)
