Ok so I have booked (but not paid for) our trip in May. I have 2 weeks to pay and havent gotten any codes or anything. As a last hope to save a few bucks I was gonna call and ask if I get a AAA discount. Can I do this? This is our first trip and I am new to this whole thing. can someone tell me what to do???? thanks

Usually your trip is not fully booked until it is paid for.
When they say you have 2 weeks it means you pay in 2weeks or lose the booked trip.
So to ask questions about your vacation it is best to call.
I am pretty sure you can get a discount because I think we usually do.

Are you already AAA members? If so, call, give your reservation confirmation number, and ask whether there are any AAA rooms left at your resort. If not, consider asking whether there are any available at other resorts, and decide whether or not it's worth it to you. But decide there and then, since the remaining rooms are likely to go quickly.

If you're not AAA, call Disney and ask anyway. Find out the availability of AAA rooms. If it's before 5 pm where you live, call and join AAa then get back to Disney and book the room.

But do it now. Time may very well be money!

PLus the easiest way is to book throught the PHONE it is SO AMAZINGLY easier.
Thats the only way we book.

I havent paid the balance hoping that I might get a code in the mail or something. Soooooooo my question is should I just pay the balance and forget about a code or any other discount or do I wait and see if I can get a break with AAA

Did you book room only or a package? If it's room only, you can call Disney and ask them to apply the code.

THe odds are, though, that you booked a package. You'll need an AAA agent to take over your reservation and apply the code.

Call AAA NOW (I mean before you finish cooking dinner; the chicken can wait ) and ask them to take over the reservation.

You could save some serious money.

This could be a problem - depending on whether you are on a package or room only ressie.

If you have only booked a room, then there is no problem calling Disney, mentioning your AAA membership and seeing if you can alter your ressie - prepare to be flexible, changing room or even resort.

If you are on a package (room and tickets), then you have to cancel and completely re-book through a AAA travel agent - only they can apply the discount offered through AAA on the room when it is in conjunction with a Disney vacation package.

Or, you can cancel your package with Disney, re-book as room only, and then get your tickets through any other means - possibly saving a few bucks here as well.
