Just received my post today and have a letter from my travel firm saying my flight has been changed. We were originally flying at 9.45 giving us a nice afternoon in the park then a nice meal and bed to look forward to the next full day.

My flight has been changed to 16.10 which means we wont be arriving until the parks have flipping shut and then to find somewhere to eat. So disappointed.

Have to ring and see if they can change my flight. I will definitely be arranging my transport myself next time.

Fed up and feeling very sorry for myself. My Four night five days is now four nights four days. What a waste of a park ticket. AAAAArrrrrrrgggghhh:confused3

Stand your ground, don't accept it. After all you could have gone the next morning instead and saved a bundle in that case. Surely there are other flights? Besides, shouldn't they have telephoned for something like this?
Hope it works out for you!

Why don't you ask to have it changed for the day before?
I did it with Ryanair as they had changed my flight to London next april from the morning to the afternoon, i rang and asked to have it changed to the day before, still arriving in the afternoon but at least what was supposed to be the first day there will be a *full* day.

It may be a little expensive hotel wise in DLRP, you could give a go to an hotel offsite for a day maybe.
Good luck :goodvibes

what airport was this / and what airline?

thats a bit of a downer , i hope mine doesnt get changed , as i took the early flight so we could spend a few hours in the park

i no thats awful. we always fly back early on our last day but i dont mind that as im not paying for the night in a hotel if that makes sense. i really think you should ring them. on a short break it really is a lot of time to miss out.

Contacted the agent and they are going to try to see if they do a flight change to a different company, we will have to change airport. Nothing can be done though until Monday so I have to now wait all weekend and work all day on Monday and wait for a call Monday evening.

I booked this so so long ago and now when I even look for a flight there is nothing really available for the nice early start we were originally having.

Its frustrating when you book early to get the flight you want, only to have the times change. I hope your travel agent can find something suitable for you with another airline. Fingers crossed for you for Monday.

hope you managed to get it sorted today

:cool1:

Hope you're able to sort something, it's such a shame to lose a day, we're having to as I couldn't book the morning flight through Airmiles only a later afternoon one and it seems such a waste of a day and a park ticket. :(

Great news, I have been offered a flight from Luton rather than East Midlands at 7.50 in the morning, which is F.A.B. Lose a few hours on the return day but am not too bothered about that as we were on a late flight anyway.

Happy happy happy.

Just have to hope these don't change now.

Thanks everyone.

That's lucky they changed it to Luton for you Roon.

One of the disadvantages with booking a low cost (or charter flight) is that the airline are allowed to change your flight time by up to 12 hours without being obliged to offer you an alternative flight, refund or compensation. except if the flight goes from being a "day" flight to a "night" flight - that is departing between 10pm and 6am the day after.

They didnt have to change it and Im surprised they did, but very happy for you.

If you book your flights with Air France (scheduled) then the chances of this ever happening are almost zero.
