....Maddy is at her dad's until 6 p.m., and I'm going to my inlaws for dinner at 4:30. What to do until then? Clothes are washed and put away, kitchen is clean, bathrooms are clean, living room is picked up, DH is in Baltimore for a convention....

The cat seems to think the best thing to do today is pet him  He won't leave me alone!

I was thinking of going to MK for a bit, but I'm still in some pain, so walking a lot isn't an option....maybe go get a pedicure instead.

What's everyone else up to today?

Well, the charcoal is burning in the grill. I got the burgers ready to cook. I just popped the top on a beer.

We are going to watch football. It's DS10's favorite team (NY Jets) VS my favorite team (Tn. Titans) on TV today.

We have both our teams flag on the car, the T-shirts or jerseys on, etc...

It's FOOTBALL day in our house!! Woo hoo!! :happytv:

I am being a bum today and doing nothing :)
I will watch some football and then the final of the US Open later this afternoon..i may go visit a family friend of ours that is recovering from an accident and thats it!

Well since my gf who I miss dearly is away this month for work, this gives me a couple of Sundays to just sit and watch football.

Today is my DH's company picnic at the local water park. They buy the place out and fill the parking lot with kid games, bounce houses etc... Even tho my son is a lifeguard at the park and the kids go alot, he has today off. My kids look forward to this all year. DD went to a private Kindergarten that was onsite at DH's company so she is looking forward to seeing some of her old classmates. DS went to the same Kindergarten and he still sees kids from K also!

Me, I agree with your cat :teeth:Mine is sitting here trying to get more attention than this laptop.
I am taking a book and will sit in the shade with DH who will periodically get hauled off to one of the slides (I don't like them).

I have a lousy cold and have been cleaning the kitchen and medicating myself with whatever I can find at home (no cold med, just allergy). Now, I am watching football with DS while DH is downstairs watching movies. I'm forgiving him for skipping the NFL for now, because the REAL team doesn't start playing until they take on the Bears at 3:00.

I think soon we'll all get cleaned up and head out for lunch and groceries, then it's time for me to make some chili with DH's leftover brisket and then it's PACKER TIME BAYBEE!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I am planting myself right here and taking it easy today. I wick thurs, fri, and sat so just relaxing sounds great to me. DH is watching football. He keeps whining about how he wishes he could see the Patriots game. Oh well I can see where he is coming from I hate missing all of the Red Sox games

Well, I have to help DD5 with her star-of-the-week poster and get clothes ready for the school week. Clean up the house. And DIS of course. :cool1:

:wave2: Steph, so glad you are feeling better and keeping yourself busy. ((hugs))

This week is one big BD week for us!! Last weekend was DH's 70th celebration, yesterday was my dear Mom's 77th and we took her out to a very nice restaurant on the bay for a delicious crab cake dinner...yum. Today DSIL is bringing his Mom (my good friend) home from the nursing home for her 66th BD cookout. The weather is beautiful and we are counting our blessings ^i^. Have a nice din din at MIL's :goodvibes. X0's to cute Ms Maddy. :lovestruc

I HATE getting clothes picked out for Maddy...I went to Jo Ann's and picked up this cheap "closet organizer" which has 6 squares in it that hangs from the closet/hanger wire. Her school shoes go in the bottom square, and clothes for each day goes into each square. Makes it a LOT easier to do instead of picking out clothes every night!

Our daughter's bought those organizers for our lil grands and say they are a total life saver in the morn! :goodvibes

It's football day in our house too. DH is upstairs watching the early game between two teams he doesn't really care about. He's that starved for football. Later on it's Bears-Packers which of course is a sacred experience!

It would be so cool to have the option to just pop over to MK for the day!

So I am watching DGD Aiyana, who is napping now. :cloud9:

That's so sweet Poohbear!

Yes, Happy Grandparents Day to one and all!!

We were surprised with some calls this morn -
sadly, with all the BD's, we had total forgotten!!!

We spent the day after church doing laundry and cleaning the basement. With the colder weather coming soon, we wanted the kids to have someplace warm (and clean :joker: ) to play. Off to AC Moore tonight for their 25% off of everything sale...got to load up on scrapbooking supplies!

I seriously need 2 of those organizers for my older girls. That would be very helpful! :thumbsup2
