:yay: :yay: :yay: have just booked a 3 night trip for the 4 of us for January....soooo excited!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

My dds (9&6) don't know-going to be a big Christmas surprise. Read the thread about the Mickey balloon in a box and thought it was a fab way of telling the kids, got me thinking, how have other people surprised their kiddies? Want to do to something special to reveal our plans to them - definitely adds to the magic....:goodvibes

we told DD (8) last Christmas by buying her a new Cinderella suitcase, packing it and putting a letter in it from Belle and a Minnie cuddly. We then wrapped it up with the rest of her presents and waited for her to click

Feeling very inadequate as a parent now...We just told our dds that we were planning on going, and told them when we had booked it!

thats great they are gonna be so surprised

I know can't wait! But wonder if they will be as excited as I am lol :rotfl:

don't feel inadequate - we had this dilemma when we booked our next trip, but we personally chose to tell the children one sunday afternoon after watching the video of the parade from when we were there in feb. It was a really lovely moment, and they have been involved in lots of planning (and they are saving their pocket money). It is a personal choice that works both ways!!:thumbsup2

Yes tbh they will be over the moon however we tell them-it's just I am so excited getting carried away lol :rotfl:

Awe! What a lovely surprise and a lovely way to surprise them... You must come back on and tell us how it went down... Bless, they'll be over the moon, I bet!

My DD is just 3 so I think the effort would still be lost on her but I'm storing it in my memory bank for future reference.

I'm going to use the idea of the letter under the door on Christmas morning though to invite her to the Christmas lunch with Santa Goofy... Fab idea :thumbsup2
