Deb and Bill (or anyone else that knows the answer) Our use year is December. The points we would be using are ones from December 2009. From what I understand, we COULD use those points for a stay in a moderate resort, is that correct?

Yes. The only thing you could not do is book a stay for 8/1-11/30 on 8/1 or after. You would have to book a stay for those months before 8/1 if staying at a non-DVC resort.

You pay a $95 reservation fee, but yes, you can use your points to stay at Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs or Port Orleans. These must be BOOKED before the last 4 months of your use year, but you can go in the last 4 months of your UY.

Sorry for my message above- I thought I read it and didn't see that you were buying resale but there it is plain as day. Thanks for pointing it out! If you had been buying through Disney maybe my advice would have helped.

Well, we did it! We are under contract for 100 points at BLT!!!! We are really excited - we've been wanting to take the plunge for a long time. I wish we could actually get BLT this fall but at this point, I'm hoping we get something otherwise on to Caribbean Beach. We are taking the little one on his 4th Disney cruise next summer on the Dream and hope to get the MK view at BLT then. Thanks everyone for all the suggestions and comments!
