When I take the picture I see white lines on the LCD screen then when I view the picture it is all white.(no flash, no excess light)
I have reset the camera, been on the phone with Sony but they tell me if I want it fixed then it's gonna cost $275 and for that price I will could buy a new one. Can someone here help? thanks.

What model do you have? I had a problem with a pink lines in the viewfinder and sent it in to be fixed, but Sony paid for it because the camera was part of a recall. My model was the DSC-F717, an oldie but a goodie.

I sent mine off about three weeks ago and just got it back. It took about ten days from the time they received it. Click on the link below and scroll to the bottom and click yes. It should generate a return for repairs authorization process and give you instructions. :thumbsup2

thanks for the info. My pictures did look like that, it was just hard to describe it over the phone.
