Someone needs to slap you!! In-n-Out rules! They are so good. I love going to the SW so I can get one.

Sonic is OK.

McDonald's, Hardee's, Carl's, Burger King, those are gross hamburgers.

Excuse ME? Someone needs to slap me?? I think not. And yes In & Out is gross. So is McDonald's, so is Burger King and Carl's Jr gives me a stomach ache every time I eat it, oh just like In & Out. I like Wendy's and I like Sonic but we don't eat much fast food here, it's all really bad for you.....

they recently opened the 1st two in our area, on busy highways on small plots of land. They were so popular (they still are) when they first opened, that they caused huge traffic jam ups, the towns had to have cops direct traffic, and one police officer even got hit by a car pulling in/out of the place!

Fellow NJ resident here I had MORE than enough Sonic food when I lived in Georgia... so between the traffic they've created, and the fact that a mile-long stretch of Route 17 on either side of Sonic now REEKS of grease, I would do cartwheels if they closed down. Just gross

(I do agree that the limeade/cherry limeade is really good, tho!)

Sonic's food is OK IMO but it's really the drinks that are the draw. They have tons of variety and flavors and it's an occasional treat for me.

Awesome! We finally have our own claim to fame - we're not just "the city next to Salem" any more!

The food is okay, and I'm sure their signature/specialty drinks are fantastic - but I don't care. They have Diet Dr Pepper!!!!!

I'm not sure where the greasy comes from, I think their burgers are dry.

It can get pricey for fast food, but is a step above the competition IMO.

We have a Bruster's, DQ, and Sonic in town, we pick Sonic for treats 95% of the time. My wife buys a large Diet Coke daily between 2 and 4.

I like going when it is 10 degrees and snowing. I also like the after holiday dinner snack since they are open on Christmas Day.

Agreed. I am surprised by all the reports of "super greasy" - I guess the different locations could be different but the Sonic near my house is not that greasy at all.

I stopped eating BK, McD's, and Wendy's a few years ago, but I like to get an occasional meal at Sonic. I really like the burger on Texas Toast with an onion ring on it. DH likes the coney dog and DS likes the popcorn chicken.

I think it is a step above other fast food joints - at least here in South Florida.

Sonics are good every once in awhile. The do make good soda. I get cherry vanilla root beer

I like watching the girls on rollerskates try to manuever around the parking lot that is slightly slanted. One time a girl used my car to help stop herself
I gave her an extra tip cause she managed to stop and not drop my food

I love Sonic, have been eating there since I was a kid. They have an awesome breakfast burrito, and I love their salads.

DH and I LOVE Sonic. We were happy when they opened Sonic in Michigan. I love the chicken sandwiches, fries are too die for, strawberry slush and shakes!!! Shakes are waaay better than Dairy Queen. Dh loves the tots and onion rings too. I would take Sonic anyday over McDonalds, Burger King and Wendy's.

They are standard fast-food fare: salty, high in calories, and very little nutrition. You eat in your vehicle, so that may be a detractor for a large family in bad weather.

Here the inside of the meat is dry (both chicken and burgers) but the outside is covered in grease. So it is greasy and dry for us. That is why I am not a fan. I do like the drinks but I hate the heartburn the extra grease gives me.

I have found a lot of variation - depending on the location. We have one near my house that is consistently good - but another one about 5 miles away that I have finally decided not to go back!

Just depends.

A Sonic just opened here and even with the mass confusion on where to go (8 rows of cars waiting, some for drive thru, some for carside dining with no signs) the onion rings were worth it. The burger was just like any other, but the rings, oohh the rings

IN MASS? IMHO it will die out like Krispy Creme did .

I love cherry limeades is to die for. I don't care for food. Now drinks and treats is really good and addicting.

Sonic food is pretty meh. Their ice cream is very bland- almost flavorless. Definitely not as good as DQ, and not even as good as McDonald's soft serve. I like their diet limeade, especially taken home to spruce up with some vodka- lol .

Every once in a while I may get a BLT or Chili Cheese Frito Wrap or Burrito from there, but other than that, their food and ice cream treats turn out to be a disappointment.
