Sonic for burgers?

Hi all,

I remember hearing about an old time burger place where you could get good shakes. I believe they are in several states. I think it was called Sonic? Does anyone know if there is one in Orlando and where it may be located? Thanks..

Sonic is know for drinks and desserts. As matter the have best drinks and desserts for a fast food place. I am addict to the cherry limeade drink.

I LOVE SONIC!

There is one on I Drive not far from the Belz outlets... very close to Universal. We have been known to get Sonic all the time!

Please don't shoot me but we have one right across the street from us. As a matter of fact I am looking out the window at it right now. BUT I can't have any because I have been on this diet for months. I will NOT walk across the street has ran thru my mind many times. And since novemeber I have stuck to it. So anyone that does go there please eat a foot long chili cheese dog extra onions for me

If I had a Sonic right across the street I could die a happy woman. Well, maybe not, because then I couldn't take advantage of it, but you know what I mean. I am completely and totally addicted to Sonic ice - yes, the ice - don't care for too many of the food items, although popcorn chicken is starting to get my attention. Our Soncis used to sell ice by the 10lb bag, and I would buy 2 at a time. Now they've stopped that, but I can get 6 Route 44 size cups of ice in my freezer doors, so I stock up when I'm running low. Sonic ice is a treasure in my house - if we have only one cup left, it is automatically mine, no matter what. LOVE the Sonic....and I absolutely will stop and stock up on ice when I stay next week in my BCV 1 BR!! Thanks!

I love Sonic ice to. When I leave the baseball at night I stop Sonic get a late snack of a cherry limade and sundae. Never mind the fact that I can get free ice cream at work. It's not good as Sonic.

I LOVE Sonics as well. My home town had two of them, and now up here there are none in the whole state. One has to go to southern Ohio before they start popping up. My faves there are there pancakes on a stick, onion rings, and there chicken 'baskets.' I told my husband that if we ever hit the lottery, that I am bringing the franchise up here.

It's funny, we have been to Sonic before and were planning on visiting the place again for lunch when we were in Orlando a few weeks ago. So, on a day we planned to hit the outlet malls we head to Sonic for lunch. But there are people there and they won't let us in. Turns out, they were upgrading their computer system, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY, and had the place closed to customers. Still hungry, we left. Turns out it was a good thing because we went down the road a little further and found Fuddruckers in one of the malls. Talk about a great burger and shake!!! Hit Fuddruckers instead. You'll be glad you did.

After seeing this thread, I have Sonic coupons that I can offer up to anyone who wants them. I am at work right now, but I think they are good through the end of April, and I won't be back until June.

There were a bunch for buy 1 get 1 desserts/ice cream and maybe a few burger coupons. I am trying to remember what I have left. As soon as I get home, I can let you know what they are exactly for.

Sonic is great for cherry limeades, ice cream and shakes, chili cheese fries, chili cheese dogs and breakfast toaster sandwhiches. I hate their burgers though. don't expect old tiem burgers. Expect tiny, greasy ones. Anyway, if you go for lunch, get the cheese coney instead of a hamburger! I love thier desserts, mmm.

Yeah, their burgers are nothing to write home about. However, their BLT is yummy!! It's served on Texas toast . I also love the fruity drinks (cherry limeade, ocean water, etc).

I don't think Fuddruckers and Sonic are even comparable, IMO. We have them both here, we don't eat at Fuddruckers because it's outrageously overpriced and not that good of burgers... it's a sit down restaurant, with much larger burgers and much higher prices. Sonic is just fast food, their burgers are okay, their tots are yummy though, and they have an extensive line of desserts and drinks, which is their real draw. We have them all over the place here, but don't eat at them very often since there are better burger places around for the same $. But sometimes you just gotta have a cherry limeade and tots with cheese =)

Mmm, I have a Sonic about a mile down the road from my office. Ate lunch there yesterday. This one has an outdoor covered area with tables so you can sit outside. Food is good, prices are right, good joint for fast food!
