A question here. Is anybody else getting auto play on a whole page at a time? I go to a page here and most of the video start playing, all at once. Any thoughts?

If it's just on this one browser, it's probably specific to either a browser setting or your YouTube account setting on this one browser. If it's happens on ALL the browsers you have, then it's possibly a Windows setting issue.

Have you tried signing out of your Google accounts and your YouTube account? Deleting those cookies. Reboot. Do NOT sign back in. See if it happens. If it doesn't happen then it's in your Google/YouTube account settings.

Also, temporarily turn OFF the AdBlock Plus while you are on this thread, to see if that fixes the problem. There should be a button in the top bar of the browser with a number of how many ads it's blocking.

See if that fixes anything.

As a quick fix, turn off the volume button of a YouTube video. It's in the bottom bar of the VIDEO. Close the page. Reload the page. Even if they start playing again. All the videos should be muted. To listen to one video, turn the volume on for that video only. Turn it off when done playing, so the others stay off when you load a new page with a YouTube video again.

Thanks, @Imzadi, for your thoughts here. I did post this on the Tech board a few days ago (no response yet) (see below). I did do a few of those things you suggested. II only is on my desktop, not my phone. It is on Chrome (my usual) and also Edge. I will try that logout of YouTube as well as the AdBlocker idea. I did turn off auto play in Windows settings, but that seems more directed at external devices.

As of 2 days ago, I go to that or similar threads on the DIS with YouTube video or multiple videos, they all start playing all by themselves. Only here on the DIS. No other sites have self starting YouTube videos in the past or now. Any ideas?

I have closed and restarted browser (Chrome). I have tried Edge. I have rebooted computer. My updates are all up to date. I have cleared my cache and disboards and YouTube cookies.

Hmmm, I logged out of my Google (and I guess YouTube along with it). No auto playing. Actually says Paused in upper right of browser page.

Logged back in, fingers crossed.

Nope, came back after I logged back into Google. Tomorrow I will log out again and reboot, see if that does it.

Crazy. Been fine for years and years and then all of a sudden a few days ago.
