Song????

I just booked 3 tickets on Song Airline from Bos to MCO on April Vacation Week 04 for $600 total is that a good price. How is this airline to fly by the way I got direct flights going down and back

I flew with them last week. I thought they were great , the staff were great fun. I paid £120 (approx $190) Boston Orlando return.

That's a good price. Can I ask what flights you got? We're flying out on Song next month from Logan, also direct, but we weren't 100% happy with flight times.

I heard some really bad things about Song. Enough things to the point that i would feel unsafe flying with them.

If you aren't willing to to disclose the specifics, then why say anything? As someone who is planning to use Song soon, this doesn't help me at all. It only serves to instill a small level of fear.

To the OP, there are many threads on the transportation board about Song. For the most part, DISers seem to be pleased with the service. Some have had a few issues but I don't recall reading about any major problems.

Yesterday I decided to do a short Christmas trip. I was surprise to see they still have low prices for Christmas. I can get a flight for $125 per person on December 24 and $75 per person on December 29.

Does the poster work for a major airline and they are always fearful for their jobs? Trying to dissuade DIS'ers from getting a better bargian? These bargain airlines are now competition. I do not know about Song, but for years Spirit was considered one of the "best" airlines. This comes from an insurance underwriter (now CEO of his company)who used to insure the airline industry.

Song is run by Delta- and we fly Delta all the time. I doubt that there would be any safety issues for one that the other wouldn't have.

I feel safe on Delta. In fact, I did some flight shopping for my brother and family- who are making their first trip to WDW in December. They will be flying Song from LAX to MCO nonstop, for $271.50 per ticket. Their jet will be a 757, and I haven't heard of any safety issues with them.

I'm sure that if the airline employee had serious issues with Song, there would be a way to report it to the NTSB anonymously.

Just a thought.........

Well, we are booked on Song for our trip as well. Since a Song plane has never crashed, I am guessing they are a safer bet than most airlines.

aslo flight searches on delta's site will show you both delta and song flights and fares.

Not usual but there are times when Delta is cheaper- mostly if you dont care about changing planes.
