Got up this morning to a story in the paper about a bunch of airlines dropping prices today. Rush up to check my trip dates ans sure enough, ka-ching! Dropped prices. I go with Song because their flight times were the best and I am trying to accumulate Delta points. So I get LGA-MCO for $135.20 a ticket. Am feeling very smug and happy all morning. Come to work to print out my ticket, then for fun begin checking Travelocity, etc. to see if the sale prices are showing up. But wait! Travelocity is showing $120 a ticket! Went to Song, what do you know, the price dropped again. If I hadn't already gotten what I consider a GREAT rate I'd be mad!
Called Song, and they cheerfully applied $14 credits to each frequent flier number for future use.
It's actually a risk to book the flights. There is about a 10% chance this trip could be postponed-- I decided to book on
Song because of the low change fee. I hope I've done the right thing!
(On edit) prices are actually $115 per ticket if you book on the web... but I had to call Delta to make the change and the phone ressie rate is $120.
