Pretty sure I know the answer is "no" (and think I previously asked) but wanted to confirm. Our family of 4 is staying at Yacht Club November 1-10. Our oldest son is in college and can't take that much time off but is going to fly in on November 3 and depart on November 7. We have a package with the dining plan for the 4 of us who are staying the entire trip. Can our oldest son officially stay at Yacht Club with us for the 4 nights he is there and have the dining plan or does everyone in the room have to stay the same length of time?

Thanks for any answers!

To add him to the Dining plan he has to be on the reservation for the whole time. But you can add him to the room for a fee when you arrive for the days that he will be there. He just won't have the dining plan.

You can add him when he arrives, however, he won't be able to have the dining plan, and you will have to purchase his tickets separately. You will also want to note that not all rooms at the Yacht Club can sleep 4. Only some rooms have the daybed. If he needs Magical Express, you can pre-register him before he arrives, and set this up for him.

Thanks! Great to know he can stay in the room. So can we add him to the room in advance to make sure we get a room that sleeps 5? We'll just pay his dining costs out of pocket.

If I remember correctly, you will need to wait until you get there to add him to the room. If you add him before you check in, they will add him to the whole package.

That is correct. I called Disney and they said if we add him now they'll charge us for the entire trip, but if we add him when we check in just the days he'll be there.

This is good information for me too! We may be in the same boat next year. Depends on if my college son has Saturday classes or not. This semester he does ... not sure about next semester yet.

But you might also wind up with a room that only sleeps four if you don't add him ahead of time.

Yeah, that's a chance i'll have to take. I requested a room with a daybed and will make that request again when I check in. There's a pretty significant cost difference if I add him now and he's on the reservation for the entire trip, especially if we had to pay the cost of the dining plan for the entire trip. Worst case scenario I'll get him a room at a Disney Springs hotel or stick someone on the floor.
