Landon tries to catch snowflakes on his tongue! It's cute. That's about as much as he is in the snow though. He recently outgrew his shoes and I haven't gotten him new ones yet so I can't let him go play in it wearing just socks!! Whenever he does play in the snow, I'll post pics!!

I just hope that this winter ends before last one's did!! Last year went into early May!! But it started late...we didn't get our first snowfall until after Landon was born in mid-November!! Now we're already at our 3rd or 4th snowfall!

That's how ours usually is...just multiple times a year!! It comes, then melts and is nice, then snows and melts and is nice. I don't mind when its a little, since it does melt so quickly.

I hate storms like this though, because it takes so much longer to melt and then it gets all dirty and gross from being driven on and just looks nasty!!

since you were talking about halloween, i have a story to tell you, candi took parker to play at our local library today, they had halloween events for the kids, well during bingo, parker lasted about 1 number, because the pieces they gave them for there board were candy corn, so he ate all of his pieces and could not play anymore

but he did get some really cool stuff at the costume parade.

and he gets his halloween pics tonight.

I can't believe all the snow either. I'm sitting at my desk at work and they have already plowed out in front of our store TWICE today and there is another at least 3 or 4 inches down again. And I've only been here 5 hours. That's a lot of snow!!

I think you're anniversary dinner sounds fun!! Sometimes I think things that sound the most "boring" can be the most fun. It's the little things in life Enjoy it!!

The princess wave sounds SO cute!! I've taught Landon how to blow kisses. He just sticks his arm out and makes a smacking noise. It's so cute. Now he'll make his kissing noise on his own sometimes and its just SO sweet. That's so cute that she just learned how to play peek-a-boo herself with her blanket. Landon has been doing that for a while, but its his FAVORITE game. He's absolutely obsessed with it and thinks its hilarious. Sometimes he'll even hide between a door and peek out at me. It just melts my heart!

Are you able to record this stuff on video? I rarely am and it makes me sad. Landon always freezes up when she sees the camera and/or comes and tries to grab it! Its frustrating.

Lizzie moves too fast to get any kind of good pictures. We have to be quick! My problem with the video camera is that its never handy. By the time I find it, get it out & on...she has moved on to something else.

Lizzie is getting the hang of blowing kisses. She gets confused between blowing kisses and making "indian" noises. My MIL taught her a little song about indian girls (she is 1/4 cherokee) so lizzie loves to sing it. Is Landon walking? Lizzie is no where near walking. I'm not too worried about it tho because it just means I will have a little longer before she can get into more stuff.

DH asked what I wanted to do for our anniversary. I told him what I really wanted was his mom to watch Liz and then I could take a nap We settled on dinner

The apartment sounds awesome!! and Landon is one lucky little man to have all that attention!! all the snow sounds nice (but I wouldn't want to have to work with it everwhere) we are suppose to be in the 80's tomorrow almost 90's w/lots of humidity and rain coming!!

we had a freak snow storm this past Dec. right before Christmas...it snowed over the entire southern part of LA but we were the only ones to get 12" it was awesome until the power went out thank goodness we have a generator for the hurricane season...

We rarely even got snow days!! We would get "delayed starts". Better than a full day at school still!

I will have to go onto your thread!! I feel like such a dumb-dumb!! So many people have threads that I would be following but I didn't even realize they had them until today!! This is the 2nd time today!

I totally understand what you mean about just wanting to nap! I went out for my birthday and didn't have him all night and everyone made fun of me because I wanted to go to bed before midnight. And its not even like Landon is still up all night!! Sleeping is just so much nicer these days!

I wish all we had was freak snowstorms every once in a while in winter. The only freak snowstorms we get was when we got one in JULY once!! In winter, we get big ones, little ones and I hate them all!

Wow, Connie! 12 inches. The last time we got twelve inches was in 1993, I believe. Our power was out for a week and we had to keep our refrigerated items stuck in the snow ouside of our door. I had never been happier to see the power come back on in my life!!!

I'll have to go on FB and check out the snow pictures. I've been very bad about getting on lately. Bad Mel!

But first...a cute video!!



First about videos, I have a quick question. I have that file on my computer (and others) and they all open in Quicktime. On my compuer, I have Windows Movie Maker and I'm trying to make a video of Landon's First Year but I guess those videos aren't in the first format because it won't let me open them in that program and use them. Does anyone know how to fix that? Any help would be SO great...but if not, thats okay too!

Now on to the virtual tour!! Sorry some of the pictures are just bad...I couldn't back up far enough to get all that I wanted in the shot!

So when you walk in the front door, it looks like this...

To the left is some stairs that go down only to the garage and a backdoor that leads to some grass.

To the left of the stairs is my parents room.

See all the built-in shelves and the fireplace?

Then when you turn left, you see this:

The door on the right is a linen closet, then a normal closet and then the bathroom.

Okay, now we go back out to where the front door was and go to the right. There is a little hallway with a built-in desk.

Across from the desk is my room. (The only one where everything is not all put away yet! ) When you first walk in, my closet is on the left.

Behind the door, is a mirror of the wall to the right.

And then you get my main room.

I have a full size bed and could easily fit another (with my dresser still there) and STILL have more room than I had at my old apartment. Hope that puts it into perspective!

Off to the right, we have my attached bathroom.

It also has some nice built-in shelves:

Back out in my room, near the foot of my bed (to the right) is a door that leads out to my porch! And here is y'alls first snow pic of the MASSIVE storm we had. (I should've taken another pic this morning because it is even worse. AND they are expecting another 4 inches. But more on that later.)

Coming from my room, to the right on the porch is another door that leads into the living room. Thanks to the snow, I didn't actually go through, but here is where you would be once you came into that door.

And in that back corner is the dining area. Underneath that window is a window seat and there are side windows and its just nice.

Then we're back to that hallway that had that desk on one side and my room on the other. There is another little hallway that looks like this:

To the left is the washer and dryer, in the middle is Landon's room and to the right is the 3rd bathroom.

This is what it looks like when you first come in Landon's room:

See? His own private patio! This is the view of his room from the door of his patio.

I didn't take a picture of his closet, but it's just as big as mine. Notice how he also has those built-in shelves. (And notice the Mickey ears on top from his first haircut! )

Landon's patio wasn't against the wind so I was actually able to go out on it and take more pictures of the snow for you guys!!

And now you've seen everything in our apartment! I checked with my mom and she said it was 16thousand-something square feet.

We definitely got over 12 inches today!! It started snowing on Tuesday night, then snowed ALLLLL day yesterday and last night too. And its not coming down as heavily now but is still coming. They said another 2 to 4 inches. Kimmy is NOT happy with this!! I have not found my gloves since we moved and I was trying to scrape my windshield, which not only had HUGE piles of snow, but a thick layer of ice underneath. I was diligently scraping for 10 minutes and barely even got a corner scraped!! I could no longer feel my fingers so I went inside and told my mom I was taking her car...which my car was behind. So I turned around in the garage and it was a pain. Then I had to drive to work and it was SO slick and everyone had driven pretty much in the middle of the road so I tried to stay there were it was already worn but people kept wanting to pass me!! I was driving an Aveo if you guys know what that is, while everyone else is smart in Colorado and has 4 wheel drive SUV's. I felt like such a grandma! But I couldn't go faster because I could FEEL myself losing traction...it was scary. Okay...rant over.

I wish this storm could be over!!

That's how I am!! Actually, in my perfect world, it would snow on Thanksgiving all day, so you could look outside and see it all pretty. But it would just be light and only stick to the grass, not any roads!! And then it would snow again on Christmas and it be a HUGE blanket of a glistening white wonderland! Then it would be melted by the time I go back to work...and preferably New Years Eve, since the roads are alway scary enough that night with all the drunk drivers!

Here is Landon and the new kitten...who is now named Zipper We change our minds a lot!

See how the kitten is being? He was actually just climbing on Landon. He is SUCH a love. He rubs between Landon's legs and is just so sweet to him. Landon has fallen on him and he didn't even care or get scared. Even though Landon is not the most gentle (what baby is?), Zipper is never scared and never runs away. He just loves Landon and he never has he claws out when he plays with any of us. He is really the perfect cat and they are so cute when they play together! Landon can even say kitty! Its adorable!!
