No matter what your political affiliation is, the bottom line is that 99% of voters are people just wanting what they feel is the best for themselves, their family, their community, and their country.
It doesn't make them stupid, moronic, slimeballs, clueless wonders, needing to be slapped into reality, or any countless others things I've seen posted on these boards over the years (from both sides). It just means they have a different idea of how things can be better than you have.
According the tone of the board, everyone is either a lib or a conservative and neither is a good thing. The truth of the matter is that it's not that simple and I know I'm not alone in wondering just where in the hell I stand here on this board politically because I'm neither conservative nor liberal - my personal political views encompass both platforms. And quite frankly it's exhausting being in the middle!
Making snarky comments about someone's intelligence or morals because how they vote is just petty and makes the person making those comments look foolish and really does nothing for the argument and it doesn't do anything but further polarize people. Believe it or not, neither party requests that their members give up their own minds and opinions when they register. I know this because I've been a registered member of both parties
It's perfectly normal and common to belong to the same party as someone and not share the same opinion on every single matter. Shocker isn't it!
I know I'm much more impressed with those who have dissenting views and are able to convey them and discuss their pov rationally, and I want to thank those on both sides who are able to do that. There are a lot of you here
Keep it up!
