It just prooves that a man....I mean dog can be trained to do anything. Scooby was much smarter. He knew how to talk, wear a disguise, and find a bad guy. Once he found the bad guy he knew to run from him instead of stay around. And in the end the mystery was always solved by Scooby Dooby Dooooooo.

Okay, I'm not taking *any* credit for this stuff.... (word of warning, Ed... if you and Brian *ever* get together in person, Donna and I are in BIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGG trouble!)

I have to admit, this quetions has <i> really </i>thrown me!

I was <b>sure</b> that Astro and Scooby Doo were played by the <b><i>same dog-actor!</b></i>

Ya know, this reminds me of the WWWF Grudge Match web site.

I gotta go with Scooby. Astro was just a family pet, not the title character. It takes a lot of smarts for the only dog in a cast of cartoon people to get the title role. Yeah, he blundered into the solution to the mystery while trying to hide and satisfy his munchies, but he did it WITHOUT a jet pack.

And Brian, keep your hands on the wheel and dictate to Sandy. Ed has a wireless internet and he surfs the net while driving between home and WDW (thankfully it's only 15 minutes). Last thing needed are two DISers IMing each other at 55 MPH.

Well Robyn you are pretty close. They were both voiced by the same voice actor, Don Messick. He passed away in 1997.

I think Scooby was just dumb luck. Astro was able to operate all sorts of electronic gadgets and was smart enough to get off the electronic walkway and watch george suffer!

BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA Sandy's driving the car (aka The NerdMobile) and I'm driving the laptop!!

I never surf and drive at the same time, well almost never. Sometimes I have to check out where an address is, so I surf then, otherwise I never surf, well with the possible exception of keeping an eye on the incoming service calls. But that's it, nothing else, unless of course some e-mail comes in. But I don't IM well driving...yet. And I certainly do not install OS's well driving.

Actually one day I got in the NerdMobile and started up the laptop, it told me to get out because it wanted to update the driver

I would say Astro - cause he just hung around and watched the family goof up.

While Scooby ended up in a mess every week.


Also if you really delve into Scooby , I believe he probably didn't have too many brain cells left by the end of the series. What do you think all that smoke from the van was from evey time he and Shaggy got out?

Why waste time debating dog smarts?? Everyone knows that cats rule the universe. After all, in cartoons or real life, which animal has the human running in circles for it, while it lays on the rug in the sun? (no hostility detected here...) Come to think of it, I can't think of any cartoon cats, except maybe Tom and Itchy, and they both get blasted regularly. Far cry from reality.

OK- I'll rise to the challenge. But first, wasn't Figaro an EVIL cat? Although you do have me on the Aristocats. But I still say the garden variety pussycats are not Disney favorites. As for Raja, Tony would wup his butt any day of the week. Tony is a tiger's tiger and Raja is a faux tiger. He might as well be princess Jasmine's lapdog.

I agree, Raja is a wimp. Now if we are matching tigers, how about Tony and Shere Khan? Now that would be Grrrrrrreat!

But Tony would lose. Of course Tony would have the advantage since he can walk on his hind legs and Shere Khan can't. But still, Shere Khan has savage strength on his side.

How about a match between Tony and Tigger? They both stand on their hind legs. Although you would be hard pressed to keep Tigger from bouncing.

Could the boxing match be between Tony and Baloo? Now that would be a little more fair. Although, once again, Baloo might not take the match serious until he finds himself on the wrong end of the whopping stick, then it would get interesting.

Okay how about Tony the Tiger versus the Exxon Tiger...no, hold it they have already done battle, twice. Tony won by TKO.
