Something that you do not know

adabob - don't get discouraged or stop posting - I think it's awesome that at 12 you are taking the initiative to read about the parks and get ready for an upcoming trip and starting this post was a great idea!

If half the adults who go to Disneyworld took half the initiative you did - there wouldn't be nearly as many annoying, clueless people (not Disers of course) walking around the world!

Can't wait to hear more! When is your trip?

What do you mean by voice of Disney - and is this the Jack Wagner from soap operas or another one?

Like that voice that you hear in the monorail( not stitch) that is Jack Wagner i think that is what he is most famous for but he does more voices throughout the resort

What is the purpose of the helicopters that fly continously around the water parks and especially around MGM? I've noticed those many times on many trips, and wondered if they are security or traffic or what??

Does anyone know the story on them? They are usually red helicopters..

MM:teacher:
I've seen them too. They are helicopter tours of the area.

I've got one...the main tank in The Living Se... I mean, The Seas with Nemo and Friends holds about 5.7 million gallons of water.

1 inch of water off the top is equivalent to 17,000 gallons!

The diameter of the tank is larger than the diameter of Spaceship Earth. That's one big tank!

I got these details from Undiscovered Walt Disney World, on Discovery HD Theater.

This is my last promise that i will come back with a whole bunch of FACTS while on my vacation

ADABOB

adabob, you are going to have the absolute best time. Is this your Spring Break? Are you flying or driving?

I've enjoyed reading all the facts and look forward to hearing more when you get back. Have a super trip and a magical time!

I don't think they were paying attention when they came up with the name for the newest attractions (in MK) initials.....
Monsters Inc Laugh Floor = ****??? OMG

Getting out my fire extinguisher anyways...just in case

When I tell my husband that he will die laughing!!! No flames, after all....you didn't name it after a teenage boys expression , now did you?!?!?

I for one did not realize adabob was 12 until he said so. I would have never guessed.

You seem very much like I was at your age. I was a very intellectual boy who loved to learn as much as I could about my interests. I jump 100% into everything I do, even if I later decide it's not for me, or I burn out. It's part of my person.

Have fun, don't worry about getting all the facts. I think I can speak for everyone here when I say this:

You are going on your trip for YOU. Don't think about the Disboards more than once a day, and only then it should be brief. Take the opportunity to see and do everything you can, but remember it's also a vacation. When you're tired, sit and relax. Watch the very young kids see things wide-eyed and fresh while you're resting, and always smile at them. If you can become part of the magic for someone else, you have made the whole trip worthwhile.

Have fun, go pack. Hear from you in a few days.:hourglass

I have 3 books that are terrific... "The Walt Disney World Trivia Book vol 1 & 2" it says on the front of the book "More secrets, history & fun facts behind the magic". AND "The Imagineering Field Guide to the Magic Kingdom"... All 3 are awesome, very fun to read... The last one has other places like Epcot, but I don't have that one yet.:)
where can i find those books? they seem really great.
