Hi adabob! I read your whole thread and you've posted some really interesting stuff! You're really smart for your age! Keep it up!

Here's some Main Street facts for you--did you notice these on your trip?

When you enter the Magic Kingdom, the forced perspective of the buildings makes the street appear longer (like the opening credits of a movie, they build anticipation as you're going towards the Castle). But when you exit towards the train station, the street appears shorter. This is because people are tired at the end of the day, and so they trick the mind into making the distance to the exit look shorter.

The stores on Main Street are not randomly placed! The food shops, where guests would go to get breakfast or treats on their way into the park, are on the right-hand side of the street as you walk toward the castle (with the exception of Casey's Corner, which doesn't serve breakfast). Because people tend to walk in "lanes" like cars do, this places these shops closest to incoming guests. Conversely, the Emporium (the major souvenir store) will be on your right as you exit--thus making it easier for you to buy stuff on your way home!

The placement of the windows in the shops on Main Street is actually closer to ground level than they would have been in actual Victorian-era buildings. This is because Walt Disney recognized the importance of children needing to see inside the shops. So, he had all the windows placed lower to the ground or elongated, so "little ones" could look inside, as well as their parents!

And here's one more, about Liberty Square: Look up at the windows on the upper floors. All the shutters hang crooked: the bottom part of the shutter is closer to the window than the top is. This is not because they're broken--Imagineers did this on purpose to make it authentic! In Colonial times, people did not often use metal hinges on the top half of their shutters--this was because metal was in great demand, due to the war. So they used leather hinges on the top instead, and after a while the leather would stretch out. Hence, crooked shutters!
