My birthday is Feb 22 - George Washington's birthday - and my name is MARTHA! My mother insists that she already had the name picked out!

That is my birthday too! Fortunately, my mother had the good sense NOT to name me Martha!

Aug. 7.....Peter Jennings died this year, and I think I remember when I was much younger that Jackie Kennedy's baby Patrick died on my birthday also.

I share a birthday with Charlize Theron...........(we must be twins, separated at birth, and by about 25 yrs...

DH's birthday is the 4th of July

The death of Princess Diana. It was already the 31st in France, but the news was announced here on the 30th.

The levees broke on New Orleans, just a couple of months ago.

Eastern Orthodox Christmas, my daughters are on Valentine's Day, sometimes Mother's Day, and near Easter. A couple of years ago it was Good Friday. My mom is Groundhog Day.
