Something special May 16???

Does anyone know if there is something special going on at DL the weekend of May 16th? Expedia has the DLH for $194/nt the entire month of May except for May 16th, which is listed at $299 for the night.

PP has a similar increase (though not $100) on 5/16/03 and GC has one too.

Any ideas?

No, thast's not it.....I wish I knew what was up with their rates, it's Friday, maybe it's the last day of school?

I tried to get a good rate for this week end coming, nothing to be had, even looking in Jan, had to go to the Residence Inn, thre was just nothing else.

Well other then my birthday...

you might check out http://www.anaheimconventioncenter.com and see if a large convention is going on at that time. They tend to "jack up" hotel prices.

The weekend of May 16 is a long weekend here in BC, Canada. Maybe that's why rates are up? We're going to DL then, and the travel agent said all flights are booked already for that weekend.

Does that mean people have the Monday May 19th off or do they have Friday may 16th off?

We have the Monday off. And the tuesday is a professional day at our school district - so it's a 4 day long weekend!!
