I know this isn't a wedding/honeymoon question but it is kinda an anniversary question so I am hoping someone over here will be able to help me out. My friend and I and our husbands are going to Disney may 30-june 6. We are celebrating our 1 year anniv and they are celebrating 3 years. We really wanted to go to disney and the guys agreed to it. We want to do something fun/special to kinda thank them for agreeing to our plans but we don't want it to cost a lot. Does anyone have any good ideas? (please don't mention the driving experience, niether of them would be interested.) thanks in advance!

It depends what they like? Do they like to golf? If so I would book them a tea time at one of the courses and maybe a lunch after at ESPN zone or Big Grill and Brewery Works, both on the Boardwalk. If they are baseball fans you could even look into a game in Tampa Bay, but they would need a rental car to get there.

Thanks. I have thought about the tee time, but it would take too long (my husband likes to golf, that doesn't mean he is great at it lol) and we wanted it to be something we can do later in the day. I thought about having something delivered from disney florist or where ever, but I'm not sure. We will already be eating at ESPN zone.

Maybe order them a cake from an outside bakery or from disney that is their favorite flavors and have it delivered to your dinner on your anniversary.

I am just now looking at all the cakes. The only thing is we aren't doing sit down dinners. We are thinking of picking it up from the bakery. I just have to figure out details and all that. We just decided Monday to go on May 30 so we don't have much time to plan all this haha

bass fishing? they could do it very early in the morning or late in the afternoon.

DH took his groomsmen and had a great time.

If you are at all flexible about the time of day, you might consider a Segway Tour. They run about $80/person (but discounts are available for Disney Visa and AAA). But these tours are generally offered in the mornings.

You can get more info on the Segway (and lots of other tours) here:

Thanks for the ideas. I will look into them. Idk about the segway bc DH once told me he would never ride one lol I think they are pretty neat and even had one of my classes have a debate about them once but he said he would feel like a fool lol

Does he like water sports. My DF and his groomsmen are renting Jet Ski's at the Contemporary resort. They also have other boats. What about Disney quest to I know I always have fun there

Where are you staying? We rented a cabana one year at the pool but we were staying at a US resort.
We've also done the Segway tour at EPCOT and are doing the one at FW in a couple weeks. DH did feel funny about doing this but he quickly got over it (cause everyone looks the same!) and it was very fun!
There are a bunch of different tours at EPCOT. The Land has a tour and a few different ones at the Seas.
We've gone go-carting and mini-golfing on I-drive.
What about a boat rental? It's pretty reasonable to rent a Boston Whaler for a few hours.

Already saw the fishing trip-I have booked this for my Fiancee & some of his friends for a 4 hour excursion-$455.00 for 4 hours, all supplies, light snacks & beverages. 2 hours is right around $255.00.

Another idea is rent a car on WDW property one morning and let them drive over to the Kennedy Space Center for the day. Some very cool stuff out there. It is an easy and nice drive. Everyone in our group has already been there several times, hence the fishing trip.

There is also a nice Bass Pro Shop in Orlando. Guys can always entertain themselves there for a while. Again rent a car or take a Mears shuttle over there and back.

Have a good day!

I got an e-mail from Disney today and it had a link to surfing lessions at Typhoon Lagoon before the park opens. I think am going to book this for the 3 teenage boys the day before the wedding. Along with passes for Disney Quest for afterwards.

The three grown up guys are going to play Disney golf and we ladies are having a princess breakfast at Cinderalla's Castle followed by mani's and pedi's. I had been looking for something special for them to do, I also thought of the seas aqua tour at Epcot but my youngest soon to be stepson did not think he would like his face covered up.

Here is the link for information on the Surf School:

Where can I find info on the fishing excursion? Where is this held? Would like to surprise my Dh with one of these.

While we are in Disney for our wedding/honeymoon, I'm surprising my man with the "pirate for a day" makeover. He lives in a house full of girls and has had everything done to him by my daughters from lipstick and nailpolish to a flower in his hair. He is so good natured and wonderful :D

Sure it is meant for kids - but it is for boys and we are ALL doing it with him. I was looking at the Pirate Fireworks Cruise but honestly the budget is stretched beyond belief already! And this is Disney - everyone is a kid yes?
