Something special deliver to your room for wedding night???

Hi all.
I had planned on using Disney Florist, they have a romance basket with champagne and bride and groom Mickey ears, but found out my FMIL ordered us the Bride & Groom ears as a "surprise".
So, was wanting to see if anyone had ever had a bottle of champagne and some chocolate dipped strawberries delivered to their room? I had heard you could call your resort directly and they would set something up, but wanted to confirm this. Also, anyone know a ballpark price for something like that?

Hi! I'm considering doing the strawberries too! Our floral manager said we needed to set it up through the in room dining at our resort, but I can't find a phone number anywhere, and don't even know if we can do it before we get there since we don't have a room number yet. Where are you staying while you're there? I remember our coordinator sending an email attachment that listed a bunch of prices for chocolate things like the slippers and stuff, but I think it was just the truffles, and solid chocolate items that floral can deliver, not strawberries. I'll go look at it again

I had no idea they had chocolate slippers, etc. Where do you find that kind of stuff?

In-room dining, wonder if they would handle the champagne also...?
Guess I need to do some calling around to dig.

Oooo... I like the idea of having chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us after our looooong day! We are having an intimate and since our parents and grandparents do not drink any sort of alcohol we are having our bottle of champagne sent to our room anyway. Great idea!

SRUAlmn, I'm not sure which resort your are staying at but you should be able to find the resort telephone # online (you can really call any resort and they will transfer you to the proper resort). They should transfer you to in room dining and they can tell you what they offer, when you need to order, etc.

ETA: I just called and set everything up! I didn't think they'd let me do it ahead of time. For the future reference of others:
The tuxedo strawberries are $25 for 6
You can also get a chocolate Mickey with them for an additional $20

Note all resorts have their own bakeries (mostly the deluxes and home away from homes do) and no, there are no bakeries (except the one on the Boardwalk) that you can walk up to and buy a cake from. You would need to pre-order the cake and have it delivered somewhere (your room or a restaurant in that resort).

If you want to try and order something special at your resort, call in-room dining if you have it because they are the ones who can tell you what's available.

They will not put anything in your room before you check into your room.

If your dining experience is less than 72 hours away, you can order a "delicious and festive 6" cake upon your arrival." You may place your order with the podium Host or Hostess when you check in for your dining reservation. The cost of the cake is $12.50 plus tax.

More than 72 hours, from your dining experience you can special order a cake.

Sizes:
8" (serves 10) $25 plus tax
10: (serves 16) $40 plus tax
1/4 Full Sheet Cake (serves 20) $55 plus tax
1/2 Full Sheet Cake (serves 40) $80 plus tax

You can choose chocolate or vanilla cake AND standard buttercream icing or chocolate buttercream icing.

You can add the edible character(s) image that you want to the cake for a price of $8 for each image. They apologize but Winnie the Pooh characters are NOT available at this time.

You can add an inscription to the above cakes (e.g., Happy Birthday Joe, Happy Anniversary Dick and Jane). BUT only 2 names can be inscribed on an individual cake.

There is also the Mickey Mouse (Head) Cake. Mickey Mouse Cake $45 plus tax. NOTE: Inscriptions are NOT available on the Mickey Cake.
