Hello,
Do you mind if I sing a Christmas song to get us in the Christmas spirit. Thanks.

Meredith Vieira's coming to town, Meredith Vieira's coming to town, Mer e dith Vi eira is coming......to toooowwwwnnnnnn.

Finally The folks at Who Wants To Be A Millionaire weren't lying. The real thing is coming to MGM Studios Orlando. It is about time she came down here. What can't she like about Florida. I can't wait to see it I wonder how our stage will look on TV considering the fact that now there will be the fast finger chairs set up again and that the stage is six times bigger than the real one. Plus there aren't nearly as many special lights and effects as the real one has. Either way this is going to be cool. I thought I would inform the clueless. The host at WWTBAM told me she would be coming a long time before it was announced. At the time I was skeptical because for all I knew it could have been March. If you guys watch WWTBAM at 4:00 EST on ABC they will show you it.

We had the 'pleasure' of attending a taping of the real WWTBAM show with Regis Philbin at Disney MGM Studios just over two years ago. The contestants were Olympic athletes, and a 1 hour show took about 2 and a half hours to tape!
Trust me when I tell you that you'll probably not recognize the studio when they get through with it. They brought in additional lights and cameras, and special black pads for the lower seats. They easily doubled the standard number of lights and cameras!
The tapings in January were mentioned at the Studios show when we were there a week ago. I hope you get tickets to the taping and I hope Meredith is more personable than Regis was!

Does anyone know how to request tickets? We will be there while it is taping! Wondering if you call CRO for tickets?

that is interesting I am glad I know that fact. So they add lights to spice it up. Gee wonder why they don't just have them up there all the time. What the tourists aren't good enough for the special set. So the audience doesn't even get a chance to get on. That stinks. I thought maybe they would do something special for the tourists. I wouldn't be able to go on because I am only 17 and will have to wait like 9 months so it isn't looking good for me, but my parents could. So what you just sit there and watch some jocks play and think $500,000 is pocket money. I have tickets for Friday coming to me hopefully. Do they like give you anything special at all for being there?

How long did it take you to get tickets? I order some today but leave in 12 days!

I never got them yet, I said that I ordered them and they should be arriving in a week or two. I don't think it should take to long.

Are audience members going to get a chance to play or are they bringing in a certain group of people to play?

That is the same question I have. I wanted to know if they will let the audience get on the game. That would be so cool because that be a real treat and something different.

I just went to their site, as we are there at that time and all that is available is Friday, Jan. 9th. We are arriving on that day, but not till 8:00 pm! :(
How do I get my hands on Saturday or Sunday (10th and 11th) tickets?? Anybody have any ideas?

Yeah I had the same problem. Only difference is I live here in Florida so I am driving up for that day. Can anyone answer my questions above who have seen a live show at MGM.

I was lucky enough to make the hot seat on my November visit and believe me the set was real enough to scare the beejesus out of me. LOL

I just got tickets for a lucky friend to day. She will get a ticket for another day at the parks and a ticket for free parking. She and her husband have AP's so that is not a big deal for them and they are hoping to be able to give them to a friend as they go down there all the time. They just returned last night and will return after Christmas, the lucky people!!

Gotta to get back to practicing for my May return to try IWTBAM again!! Got to practice those Sesame Street questions!!
