Something odd on World Drive

My cousin and I left the Magic Kingdom last night around 9:30 PM and were traveling down World Drive as the fireworks went off to the right of us (Coronado Springs area). Well while she was looking at the fireworks I noticed a lone Disney employee in their yellow and white parking lot gear with the yellow reflector vest on, standing in the grass off on the shoulder. It was a little bit before the ramp to Buena Vista Dr. To me, she looked really out of place and in the dark. It was like she was left there.

I'm sure there had to be a reason but it seemed really weird. She was in the middle of nowhere monitoring what?

I had thought that could be a possibility but the whole thing looked odd. Off in the middle of nowhere? And don't they check in their work outfits? I don't know if they can wear them home.

Actually, they don't. I regularly see CM's in their uniforms at our local Publix.
