Something going on March 17 & 18?

We are due to arrive on March 20, staying at ASMu, and decided we wanted to add a few days to the front of our trip...but EVERYTHING in EVERY value is booked up for the 17th and 18th (wed and thurs) I know its spring break time and all, but why just these 2 days? the friday and saturday are free, just not the wed and thurs? Just wondering if anyone knows of some big event or convention those days?? Thanks...

There is a National Allstar Cheerleasing Competition March 12-16 that may be an impact on your dates.

Good luck!! I've been calling for 6 weeks to try to get us in a deluxe or mod for that week with no luck at all!! Of course that's with a pin code.....
Thankfully we have rooms booked at Pop, so it looks like that's where we'll be staying!! We leave on Friday & I cannot wait!! I think I've managed to get psyched on Pop Century!!

It appears the heavy Spring Break week for 2010 is the 13th-20th. All of the polls on here suggest this as does the bookings.

Odd as the same week last year was moderately heavy. It also appears that more of the Central-North Central states are on Spring Break along with many areas of the South.

We will be there with them!

That is when we'll be in The World, actual dates March 14-22nd. 7 nights at CBR and then we added one night on the end at Music. OP, is it possible for you to add on at the end of the trip rather than beginning?

A lot of colleges are on spring break this week (I know my son is and several of his friends from different colleges in Iowa as well as Illinois). Unfortunately, spring break is different in so many places that it covers almost the entire month of March (and sometimes into early April).

We will be at CBR also, not BWI. Wait times last year were long in some cases, but not real bad. I am going this year expecting it to be real bad in some cases regarding waits etc. No matter, still at WDW and will be happy.

We were there the same time last year as well and yes it was very crowded but we managed to do everything we wanted to. With a good plan, it can done.

My daughter's (1st grade) spring break is that week as are lots of Missouri school districts. My husband has gone back to school and his spring break is that week as well.

also, a lot of people probably get there friday or saturday then leave the following friday which is maybe why more friday and saturday dates are open?
