Are they going to Disney Quest in the evening? If so, I recommend the Campfire Sing-Along with Chip & Dale at Fort Wilderness. It is free, though you can buy s'mores kits w/ 2 sticks for less than $5. If she watches Barney, she'll know the songs. The sing-along is followed by an outdoor movie, which is fun. See:

The Garden View Lounge (I think that's the name) also does afternoon tea that isn't the fancy $200 tea. "Mrs. Potts Tea - For the younger tea lover in your party, we offer a variety of tea sandwiches, tuna salad, ham and cheese, peanut butter and jelly on white bread. We serve our magical dark tea (chocolate milk), followed by a choice of 2 pastries $8.50 per guest" source:

Go to the Boardwalk and get a hairwrap and rent a surreybike (again, best in evening).
On our last trip, we rented one of the little Sea Racer boats at Downtown Disney. They're also available at the other marinas. They don't really go fast but my 9 year old had such a great time.
You used to be able to rent swan shaped paddleboats at the Swan resort - I don't know if they are still available but that looked fun to me.
A carriage ride or the hayride at Ft. Wilderness might be fun: See:

The Grand Floridian has a free Lady Bug release in the courtyard behind 1900 Park Fare on Thursday mornings.
