something different...

I'm in the CP and I think this section needs a little more variety ^.^;; It's why I'm the resident creepy old lady on the Teen Board, lol! I'm a freshman theatre major, but I'm still working on finishing my basic studies classes which means that while I'm here, I'm taking a Sociology course online because it's one of the required courses (and it suuuuuucks x____X)

oh cool! so youre at wdw now but youre taking regular courses online as well?? thats awesome

I'm not planning on applying til spring of 1013, so talking about just college in general sounds great right now!

my hardest class is astronomy. it has more to with the professor not teaching than the subject matter being difficult(which it is, but I feel like if it was taught to us, it would be slightly less difficult, you know?)

And I'm insanely jealous of your Disney class, brdlyleon! I'm getting ready to e-mail a professor this week and ask for a private tutorial doing something similar next semester. my only problem is I don't know the professor, so I have no idea if she'll say yes or not. I'm really hoping she does!

Of course, lol, my friends say I gotta figure what I wanna do with my life first.
Everytime that subject comes up, my mom says that I outta be an imagineer. Actually, I think that'd be rather cool.
Doing what as an imagineer though... well that's another mystery, lol.

That's pretty much where I am. Basically have a degree (I'm like, a month from graduating) in Cinema Studies doesn't exactly lead to much except teaching and actually working on films, neither of which I really want to do so imagineering seems like a great alternative....it's just the what in imagineering that's the big question!

brdlyleon, very jealous of the Disney class! there was a film course on Disney, but I didn't find out about it until to late, plus I have already taken the class the max number of times (the body of films changes every semester)

That sounds cool. I did think about going to school for film or maybe photography and it's still an option. I'm just not completely sure. Although, I do know that there's a college that offers film in Florida. :goodvibes I wouldn't mind going there to live for a while at the very least for the photo opportunities!

If it's a school I'm thinking of, don't go there unless you know 100% you want to work in the film industry. It's super expensive and if you change your mind you're stuck.

Of course if you aren't talking about it...just don't mind me :rotfl:

I have a friend who is majoring in film at UF, it's technically an "interdisciplinary study", and you basically pick whatever courses you want from a list, or you can talk to advisors about courses that could possibly count for credit towards the major that aren't on the list.

Thanks for the advice I'll keep it in mind. I'm still not positive bout what I want to do though, sadly. ;)
