Of course. Draw draw berry. I don't know where that came from (and we don't baby talk it back to him), but it is cute. I know it won't last long. Another one that gets me is, "sha-sha-poo". Took me forever to figure out what that was. Sha sha poo coming from Daniel means "bath".

Hi all-
Quick fly by....
Chrissy is home sick today from school. She came home with a fever afterschool yest, and said her tummy was hurting a little. I think her fever broke now, but her tummy is still hurting a little and she was pretty tired. No vomitting tho. She is eating, not as much tho.
I'm starting to feel a little tummy ache myself. The stomach bug is going around at school.
Anyways, I think the ISAT school testing all week wore her out. It would wear me out if I had to sit all week for that too.

Update on my dad. I think they took out his NG tube and starting him on a clear liquid diet yesterday. According to my mom, she doesn't think he tolerated the clear liquid diet yet, but maybe today he will? My mom didn't go visit last night b/c she has a bad cold and cough. Prayers and good thoughts for my mom please. Thanks!

Penny I know how ya feel about the snow and ice cause I think it goes from here where I live and reaches to where your at and they are saying before its all over we will get from 6 + inches of snow and thats more than we have had all winter

our high school has a bowling team. many of the hs here have them and the tournaments are great.

I've never heard of that before. Maybe, it's just we southerners who don't have bowling teams.

And, who asked? Barb, I think? I turned the scorched peep goo problem over to Brad. He spent quite some time picking what he could out by hand... then he scrubbed it with some carpet cleaner... one of those Oxy kind. Seems like most of it came out.

That's my philosophy too! When all else fails, make it hubby's problem.

I just buy a Dollar Store type prize for Joshua and give it to him on the day that the other kids get their fundraiser prize. He's happy. I'm happy.

We always did the same thing. We'd let our DS choose a prize that we'd buy for him at the store & forget the fundraiser. I would but a thing or 2, just so he sold something. After awhile, he quit bringing them home at all. His choice. He didn't want to have to bother with carrying the junk home. Worked for me!

The boys still sleep in a room painted Hundred Acre Wood green with Winnie the Pooh wallpaper border. Yeah, that's leftover from the nursery theme when Daniel was born.

That sounds cute. You should see my son's room. He has a TB Buccaneers room, which he hates now. So, now he has a room painted 1/2 red & 1/2 pewter w/ Buccaneers border in between. On the walls, there's autographed jerseys, tennis rackets, framed posters, footballs, etc. Along with those, there's band posters & tacky signs. He also has poems that he & his girlfriend have written & pictures she's drawn pinned to his ceiling. Yes, it looks just as good as it sounds.

well, looks like I get the bad parent award today. had to take Niles to the vet. 16 pounds of yowling furball . all the way there and a lungfull when we got into the door back home. they gave me a long tube to use to get a pill down his throat. imagine, an ugly bad footed 41 year old trying to get a pill down a cats throat. stay tuned. we could end up on cnn, or worse, youtube. he will be fine. momma here feels real bad. really guilty. i'll get over it.

Poor kitty & poor mommy. He knows mommy is doing what's best for him.

That thread is confusing to me. Some of the posters are passionate about the vaccine not being the cause. They refuse to believe they allowed something to be placed into their child's body causing this & making them at fault. Others think vaccination being the cause means they didn't do anything wrong & therefore exonorates them. Either way, I don't see how the parent is at fault. We do what we think is best for our children & pray we were right. That's all any of us can do. My heart goes out to any parent struggling with the thought they may have caused their child's illness or disability.

we're probably not going to get into dodge until late afternoon on Saturday 10/18, then (shamefully w/o MYW or APs...only MNSSHP @ WDW...how will we go on ). One of the reasons i'd like to try AKV to have something furry to stare at during the day to kill time.

We'll do U 1 or 2 days as day guests & HHN (hopefully if they have it on Wednesday, otherwise will have to cut out the sunday MNSSHP)...then adrift

it has always been hard for me to take the cats to the vet.
i have started to be a pro with the meds on one of the kitties.

for 3 years, i had to give insulin injections to one cat every 12 hours.
then monthly vet visits with glucose testing regularly.

now i give arthritis meds and thyroid meds to the same cat.

i'm surprised she still loves me with what she goes thru in order to get the medicine down her.

Poor kitty & poor mommy part deux.

My dates are oct 1-13th.
i already have HRH booked so can't change my dates.
go when i go.............you know you want to.....

Well yes in a way trying to go cold turkey but trying to wing myself by instead of smoking like one every few mins to maybe one every 45 mins and then going on to 1 an hour and so on and in the past have almost quit that way but just about everyone I knew smoked so it made it hard and now no one really comes around me that smokes so maybe it will stick this time and to the rest of the homies a Good Morning

this is key! everytime i went seemed as though everyone else had a smoke in one hand & a drink in the other good luck.

sharon - send that french toast rec. my way! I rarely make it & when i do just "wing it".

metro - i'm at the part where he's just returned to rental home after having the art gallery give an opin on his work; i shall hang in there!

PS eye dr. appt went bad, REALLY bad...have a month to decide between surgery or drops...had a good boo-hoo & wound up losing my glasses on the way home...i'm pulling covers over my head REALLY early tonight.

Yeah and just went cause I started hurting bad and didn't want it to turn into something bad and have to go today and get the meds and can't wait to hear how much its going to cost cause they go me on a inhaler , steriods and imflamitory antibotics and ofcourse they said no smoking not really funny but when a nurse tells ya I smoked for 13 years and quit and when I told her well I got 11 years over that she got pretty mad at me and DW sat in a corner and laughed at me.

That doesn't sound good. Hope you're better soon. Good luck quitting smoking.

Just a quick fly by to let you all know that Matt did great on his drivers test! He got a 95 percent with only a few small "reminders". The instructor told him he did a great job, but...not to let it go to his head!

So I guess we have another driver in the house! Now it's time to call the insurance company!

Sometimes you wonder what people are thinking or if they even think at all.

No adult beverages for me last night. I was having some tummy issues. I have to share a funny story, but it involves bodily functions... so if you don't want to read about it, stop now.

We had bacon & eggs for dinner. My tummy, apparently, didn't want bacon & eggs and it started complaining about 20 mins after we ate. I could sit there and listen to my stomach gurgle. Inevitably, I had terrible gas hit me. I mean bad. Daniel crawled up in my lap and patted me on the head and said, "You okay Mommy? You stinky. You want draw-draw-berry (strawberry) medicine?"

We love AP! It's actually our fav WDW restaurant. You get good food & atmosphere. That's kind of hard to find at WDW. Sorry, RC is one of the few Epcot restaurants we haven't eaten at.
