DH and I used to go for an adult's only weekend every year over his birthday. We usually had at least one other couple with us and went to Lake of the Ozarks. There was a tequila bar there, on the lake, called. . . appropriately. . . Tequilaville. They had this blue tequila that was kept in one of those freezie machines. . . $10 a shot. DH, who doesn't drink more than about 6-7 drinks a year, liked to get a shot with a worm. . yes, with a worm. They take a syringe and suck one of this little white nasties out of this little bottle full of worms. . . so anyone can do a worm. . .yyyuuuuuukkk. . . . and he and the bar owner do birthday shots. It's just the nastiest thing! There's also a bar on the lake called Minnows. . .and yes, you can get a minnow shot. . .they swim around in the shot. . . eeeewwwwww. We've never actually done one of those. Man do I have some drunken friends stories from those nights.

:rotfl: i don't do the worm

do like to watch the antics of those that do;)

we never tippled in front the kiddies in the past...my standards have lowered dramatically:lmao: jr's going to be 15; figure he can handle seeing me kill a couple beers. Better to show him responsible boozin (or at least not drinking & driving) Think making it a big mystery like my parents did isn't the best idea...which is why i was sneaking off with all my friends sharing bottles of boones farm @ the age of 14 - had to taste the forbidden fruit?)

DS did find it comical on the cruise when i got my 1st fruity drink of the day, took one sip & it tasted like pure alcohol, almost spit it out...kept cutting it with fruit juice from the drink station. Stuck to a vodka & tonic from then pre-dinner.popcorn::

Rum?

:rotfl:

Black Cherry Rum and Cherry coke :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

That is the way to go!!!!!!!!!!!

The COT is down right dangerous on the Vegas track. They were closing in on 200 mph during the practices!

They are probably going to have to make it a restrictor plate race to keep the speeds down, but I don't know if that will help with the drifting and sliding these guys are doing in the turns.

Barb, a bunch of guys got speeding penalties (driving too fast in pit row). There are VERY FEW left on the lead lap.

OMG, you're talking in tongue already:rotfl:

ps i enjoyed my 1st landshark on PA soil yesterday:banana:

sorta irritated me that while it sells for $13 a case in FLA it was only a buck less than Corona here:confused3 $27...ah well, some things are worth it!

never noticed the bottle does have a shark fin indented in it...cute touch

Here's a LV track story. . . dh and I went to Vegas sans kids  for a week in the spring of 2006. We went to the track for dh to do the ride along, but it started sprinkling, so they were not doing the program that day. There was no one else around and the guys working the program were hanging around in the garage playing cards and they let me and dh go into the garage and check out all the cars. . .I literally couldn't get dh to leave. We were there for like 2 hours just looking at cars and motors and talking to the guys. We went back the next day and he got to ride and the guys were glad to see him and got out the #8 car for him :thumbsup2 It was really nice and I couldn't believe they did it. They gave him an extra couple of laps and prolly went a little faster than they were supposed to. He LOVED it. Everywhere we go he does the ride along. Next, he says he's going back to all of them and do the driving program :confused3 Guess that means I get lots more vacations.

:wave2: Still alive here .

Had another busy weekend . Finally got all the curtains up and well now we have to just hang some pictures .I got to get Dh to patch up the wall in one spot too.

DH not in love with our SNB either right now. It seems that when you buy it they don't tell you the numbers may vary by up to 15 points while you are sleeping. So DH had it set at 50 to try it and well it went down to 45 and he had a back ache today So he is slightly grumpy today . As for me I  It . I am usually the one with the bad back and have had mine set a little too soft too but I know that I should be at 50 to start and go down from there . I guess it is true that you really need a few weeks to get use to the bed. Still keeping it as of now though .:thumbsup2 But if DH is still grumpy he may kill me and send me out with the bed :rotfl2: .

So the DH that was grumpy suprised me with my Birthday Gift Today .:cheer2: . He got me my Cricut Expressions and well if you scrapbook you know what it is . If not it is a cutting machine for scrapbookers and well card makers , kids projects etc. You get the picture. I really love DH right now  .

Gotta go get ready for school :teacher: in the morning Be Back later ....

awww holy heck - my kids will go to the fridege and get one if we are engrossed in a movie or what not......beer that is - wouldn't want them trying to mix drinks for us:scared1: :lmao: :lmao: mine are :lmao: (almost)13, 8.5 and 6.5 - does that make me a bad Mommy??? nahhhhhhhhh didn't think so - oh and barb can add me to the list of those having a "drink" - watching wedding crashers too :lmao: funny!!!

Yup My B-day is the 8th but the machine was suppose to be on sale and then it wasn't . It is a long story with a craft store near by but in the end it worked out I didn't have to order it on line and I got to get it today instead.:woohoo:

And as for all the NASCAR talk I have to learn what is going on and who are these guys. My DS was in the local applebees last night and well he was AMAZED and watched a lot of the race that was being showen there last night . But me and DH have NO IDEA  what is going on and who is driving what car. At 6 I am sure he could care less but he really likes it when they CRASH :lmao: . Not exactly what the idea is but he watched the race just to see if someone would do it again . :lmao: :rotfl2: .

Go to really go now .
Be Back Later

When my oldest dd was younger. . .maybe 12ish. . . she walked up to me while I was sitting in the kitchen enjoying an ice cold bud light and took the beer, dumped it down the sink and told me that was very bad for me and I should not drink . . . all while I sat there, mouth open, dumbfounded that she would even. . . . she turned around and walked into her room, where I advised her to stay for the rest of the evening and got myself another. The next day she told me I was mean because I was drunk :lmao: I had like maybe 3 sips before she took it. I reminded her of that incident not long ago and she was like, yeah, I was such a brat, wasn't I :confused3 My response. . . what do you mean was???

Ours is 30 a case :scared1: :scared1: Getting our first one tomorrow. DH collects beer bottles and cans (has all sorts of wild ones - do you remember the very short lived Weinhard's or the Wolf one done by AB?)

so no doubt the landshark will make a nice additon to the collection. Just need to price out an egress system for the basement and we can get his "basement" done up right!!!! Talking about a bar, tv, collectibles, etc -

oh - and dont' tell anyone - but thunder and lightning freak me out :scared1: :scared1: - I am totally paranoid and will cry at times if stuck out in them :guilty:

Lord I hope it doesn't make you a bad mommy. I'm right there with ya!

My kids (well, Joshua... Daniel will eventually) know that there are plenty of things they can't do until they are older. Drinking alcohol is one of them. I don't hide it, however. I drink sometimes. Brad drinks rarely. Neither one of us gets fall down drunk in front of them. I am never at a point where I can't care for them.

I've had 4 rum & cokes and I'm comfortably buzzed. If I can make it back and post again after getting the boys in bed, I will. :goodvibes

::yes::

I don't drink beer. :crazy2:
I don't have any wine. :headache:
Tequila makes my clothes fall off.

:confused3
Tequila makes a lot of people's clothes fall off. You and I won't ever argue about rum...I can't stand the stuff. Now Bourbon and Coke is a different story......... ;)

Mac...good to see you back amongst us.

I'm heading to bed...have a good night and a great Monday.
:thumbsup2
