Bought our first tan package of the year yesterday as well. DH bought a package for us to share. . .he's never been so he was asking me some questions last night that I thought were sooooo funny. He wanted to know if he should tan with his boxers on. . . I said, well, it's up to you. . . whatever you are comfortable with. He said, well, I'm not comfortable with the chance on getting THAT burned. . . I said take a wash cloth to cover the boys. . .so, he replies, then I'll need a hand towel :lmao: :lmao: My DH will be 70 and still making cracks like that.

So. . the tanning package. . . he bought 200 minutes on the super beds to start with. The YOUNG girls working were actually very helpful and didn't even laugh to see two old, pale fat people standing there. . .so that was good. Seriously though, they answered all our questions and seemed to know a bit about the beds and there was no pressue to purchase anything at all. She did try to sell dh some lotion for guys that was $60 for the bottle. . . we both started laughing. He bought the $20 lotion and says he doesn't care about smelling like a coconut. He goes "I can use that stupid lotion, drive a mini van and I STILL know I'm the MAN". :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: He was funny all day.

Oh, and we got to go shopping for vacation clothes :cool1: :cool1: :worship: Well, I didn't buy anything cuz I'm not buying for another 6 weeks or so. I could lose a clothes size or more in that amount of time! He bought all the girls clothes though and they each got 2 pair of shoes. . .what the. . . I got ZERO!! My parents come home for FL today, and they are bringing the girls new crocs so we don't have to buy those. They also each got two new swim suits so I think they are all set. DH got some stuff too, but he still needs new tennis shoes and some sandals. . . and, ok, he's got some issues with man sandals. He said I could order whatever shoes I wanted cuz I can't find what I want anywhere (well. . .they are at shoes.com) and he would pay for them :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :yay: :yay: :yay: I don't have to break out my secret stash !

BTW, was it someone here who wrote about using a clear, plastic shoe organizer that hangs on the back of the door to keep and organize their things that would ordinarily sit on a bathroom counter?? Anyway, we bought one of those too. I think that's one of the best traveling tips I've ever gotten. Probably all of you already do this and I'm like a serious travel loser and am the only one who didn't know about it. . .but that's ok, cuz now I know and I've got one!! I got myself a messenger style baggalini too!! I just want to be as cool as you guys. . . . . :flower3: So seriously, I love the shoe organizer thing. . . all our stuff neatly put away and no need for any stranger to touch my stuff . . . . eeewwww. . . plus no excuse to not clean the bathroom counter and sink area either. I found all these cute little travel size things to put in my baggalini too :rolleyes1 dh prolly won't take me shopping anymore :guilty:

brab is the organized one that does the over the door shoe holder thingy.

she is smart for being a blonde..........:rolleyes1

Ok. . .so I'll tell dh that BARB convinced me that we couldn't POSSIBLY go to Universal without all these things I'm going to convince him we need. . . :rolleyes1

My turn for a quick fly-by. I'm off to see the last production of this year's play. Barb, Kenny plays Johnathon Brewster (the evil brother). He's already scared the bejeeves out of several people in the audience. I just have to sit back & laugh at my evil son. :rotfl:

:lmao: :lmao:

I'll probably be busy most of the day. I have guests coming in today. My niece, her friend, & her friend's friend are going to be here all week for their college spring break. I've never met the friend, & my niece hasn't even met the friend's friend. The friend is in med school with my niece in TN. The friend's friend lives in Wisconsin(?), North Dakota(?), or somewhere cold at least. I can't really remember where. (No offense to my homies up north. I know all the states aren't the same. I just have a horrible memory. The only thing I remember was she couldn't wait to get out of the cold weather.) They all kind of invited themselves. I found out about it, when my niece called to get me to look for cheap airfare for them. She had already invited them by then. That's not really unusual though. My sisters have shown up at my door, w/o me knowing they were coming. That's a fun surprise.

I'm off to the play. I'll try to catch up later. Everyone have a great Sunday!

So you won't mind when we show up?:rolleyes1

i'm here.
thanx for caring.

 Thanks for checking in.

Good afternoon homies just stopping by to say hi and let you all know I am feeling a little better and hope all is well with you all :goodvibes

:wizard: Get better.

good sunday to all!

funny, we're used to at least 1 or 2 scary gas bills every year:confused3 ; if we'd quit spending all our disposable income on travel & spring for new windows we wouldn't have the problem:rolleyes1 ; we're just grasshoppers i suppose;)

I didn't mention that my bill was $400 something in January. So we had 2 bills at about that amount. We will also have at least 2 in the summer that are that high.

it's still raining mom here:laughing: today she showed me a cut on her little pinkie that appeared infected...where did that come from? If you recall, she was hospitalized last fall from cat scratch infection due to them giving her an antibiotic she was allergic too...sigh. Dr. told me then she may just be prone to infections (guess it's common in elderly?) & to call in the future if anything looks iffy again. So shocked he called me back with minutes this am:banana: and she's already on antibiotics...hope she didn't pick up any creepy staph thang in the hospital...turning into a neverending unfortunate series of events...least they seem to be resolving positively

:wizard:  When it rains it pours. Hope the meds take care of it.

 Don't blame you...you've earned that right.... oh, and you were HERE too...so, that's 2 things you're doing today :teeth:

Now I am back so does that mean I have done 3 things? I honestly have not done anything else. Being very lazy. Can't seem to wake up all the way.

Since when did we need ONE?! :confused3

So we really don't need one, but just in case we do I have plenty!

:scared1: Okay...YOUR bill scares me too.... I won't mention how low ours is in comparison to y'all's :rolleyes1

:headache:

DH's company does the "first come, first serve" deal....so, guess when he requests his late June/early July vacation?? Jan. 2nd! :lmao: Well...he sorta "has" to if he wants to get it....we're always gone over July 4th and a lot of people will want off around it...especially last year and this year where taking a day or two will give ya a long weekend  (have never had a problem getting it approved either....not many peeps are thinkin' about summer vacay;) )

Me? I don't get paid for vacations or time off....so, I get what/when I want :thumbsup2

The great thing about it at Xerox was we had all been together for so long if someone had a special trip they wanted to take we could talk about it ahead of time and everyone would agree to leave the weeks you needed open. I miss them but sure don't miss the work.

That's okay  we understand..... You might want to borrow one of Jodie's "free pass thingys" ;)

I don't need one. Already ketched up.

is the race in vegas today?

who's gonna win?

who's winning in the thread standings?

what bill won't i pay this month to pay my gas bill?

i'm full of it today:goodvibes

Jeff is going to win!

off to go snowshoe out to the grill:upsidedow

So whatcha cooking on the grill tonight?

Hi everyone!

I tried posting before but the DIS was giving me a hard time...

So house hunting was a bust. What dumps!

Sigh....

/
For whoever picked Tony Stuart. . .he's toast. He crashed hard and had to be assisted from his car to the infield care center. He hit hard yesterday in the Nationwide series as well.

He's ok :thumbsup2 , but done for the day.

I can’t wait to hear all about it. Are you going to go soon? If so please tell us all about it.
I spent the afternoon at Epcot and then renewed my AP for another year...$335.00 isn't bad considering it's the admission and parking. I still wish they would include park discounts on food and merchandise but I guess the Mouse wants all the money he can get. :rolleyes1

I'll be renewing Univeral at a few weeks. :woohoo:

Well, thank goodness Mac checked in. I was afraid my artheritic dog was going to have to drag me in a sled to find her!

Janet, glad to hear your ma is getting around and improving.

Rose, glad your dad came through the surgery okay. Keep us posted.

Tony Stewart didn't look like he was real sure where he was when they interviewed him. He hit HARD two days in a row!

I'm headed back to watch more racing. I'm thinking of indulging in an adult beverage or two. Make your plans accordingly. ;)

I think there should be food/merchandise discounts too. The would probably get more of my money if they did.

I didn't see the interview. Guess I had left the room for something. He didn't look real good getting out of the car.

And I did do one more thing today. I fixed spaghetti for dinner. Someone else can clean it up!

First rum & coke of the evening is in my hand. :drinking1
Rum?

hmmm...coke, rum & captain jack sounds delish;) salute

we had strip steaks that we indulged on when shopping @ sams:rolleyes1 , the best container of little baby peppers (red, orange, yellow - i hate raw peppers usually, was eating these like candy-yum).

lori - sorry u had a killer bill too

wendy - u must be so excited to be able to buy new duds! i've never heard of a place that would let u split a tanning pkgs - how :cool1: is that! ps barb is def. in favour of the shoe thingies over the door.

I am the one who lugs 2 tupperware containers (both to keep toiletries from breaking, etc. in transit thanx to the new TSA rules) &because the pigs i travel with have no concept of putting things back where they belong:mad: (used to take me a good hour to pack up all the stuff while they lounged about...finally had it)

i never unpack the containers once we arrive (other than brushes & toothpaste)- tell them to dig for what they need & put it back where they found it (i.e. mean mom) Actually, i never unpack the containers, they stay in the suitcases awaiting the next trip;)

metro - sounds like alot of dough, yet spread out over the year is quite a deal for you. You'd think they'd give FLA resident discounts on food, etc.:confused3

and that would be a bad thing?:confused3 ;)

the worm will give u visions:thumbsup2

With 2 small children in the next room... yeah... that would be a bad thing.

I gave up tequila after I changed shirts with a complete stranger at the door of a club in front of the door cop, bouncer, and cover charge guy (as well as everyone else in line).

I did get in for free, however. :confused3
