Hi Guys! Sorry I haven't been around too much. I have been busy dealing with stuff that, trust me, you don't want to hear about.

Plus, Savannah is huge handful, but of course in a good way.

Yay! Savannah pics! We've missed you Jodie! And trust us, we do want to hear, if for no other reason than to make us feel better about our own lives!

Marci so happy that your friend is excited about thier trip and just hope they didn't rent from ventura rentals is what I think they are called cause thier pool homes are awful and won't clean thier pools until you leave

They rented directly from an owner. Not sure I'd want to do it that way - we did when we went, but it was through one of the rental websites and I emailed about 10 people from their guestlist first to get their opinions, pictures, etc. But, they don't want to spend too much money, so I guess they're trying to eliminate the middleman!

Marcie...do they have a different time of the year they can go? Summer is expensive for everything...not just Disney! (rental home, rental CAR, air, etc....) If they could go early May or so (I know the hassle of taking the kids out of skool) but it might give them 'more bang for their buck'

Spoke with my friend. They really can't change anything now since they've already bought the air (on Northwest) and with a kid in high school (none of their kids are great students), I can't imagine they'd consider pulling them out at all. That's the problem with going with older kids - not enough choices.

Anyways, it sounds now like they're leaning a lot more towards Disney. We only spoke briefly, but I gave her some ideas of stuff and I'll try to talk to her more later. I do think they're considering the water parks options though, but I think they'd really like Disney Quest. Is that still theoretically closing, or was it a rumor? I'll let you know when I talk to her more!

I must say, it hasn't worked out so good. I wore my Jordache jeans just as tight as I possibly could with the combs to match my shirt. I guess he just never got the message?

Wow - I'd forgotten this embarrassing fashion statements from the 80's! I not only wore those Jordache jeans, but I had black jeans with pinstripes! And I also did the comb thing, but don't think I was ever organized enough to match my shirt and comb!

mac - speaking of catnip ; we're out here (perhaps ma is hitting it up lol)...i've gone to 3 different stores this week...wonder if there's a shortage?

local news today said there will be a massive wheat shortage this summer, the big bakeries have their stash in hand, so bread shouldn't go up too much...however, the price of a pizza is expected to quadruple $50 for a pizza . Supposed to be just during this season...1st i gave up smoking, then drinking (sorta ), it's going to be hard to tell pizza so long.

Janet - if you want some, my kids just came running up and informed me that one of them dumped a whole bag of it all over our futon! Bring your dustbuster! Or cat!

And I hadn't heard that about pizza - that's seriously going to crimp our lifestyle!

It is also offical that my DD 15 is dating . They really haven't gone "out" they see eachother in school and they have gone to the mall with friends and ice skating with friends. I am just keeping the rules to being with friends .

Good Morning Gang.

I don't think I mentioned that my sister and nephew are heading down to Florida this Wed with the high school band. They are stopping at Daytona Thursday morning to let the kids see the beach, and hope to be hitting the Universal parks Thursday afternoon. They get Thurs, Fri, and Sat at Universal. Going to be in the parade Saturday morning. They are staying at the Royal Pacific.

Anyhoo - good for them. (I, of course, will be working)

Sis is hearing rumors they are "testing" the Simpsons ride. If they get to ride, I'll report for you. A few years back the band went when they were "testing" the Mummy. So - who knows?

My sister will not ride anything. She gets motion sickness on the carousel. This is how she has always been. But, she seemed to enjoy herself the last time the band went to Universal.

Hope to get you some pics.

Need to get up and at'em this morning.

I know but too hard to quit cause I have been doing it since 16 so the habbit is a little too hard to kick

Nothing worth doing is ever easy. . . .

I for a lot of years myself. . . started when I was like 14 and quit when I was 28. Honestly though, my incentive was if I didn't quit smoking I would not have carried dd11 to term. . .smoking was thining the protective lining. . . pretty serious incentive, huh. It was really, really hard and then I developed gestational diabetes . . . so I gave up smoking AND eating within a couple months of each other.

I started eating again. . obviously. . . but never started smoking. I must say, however, that changing my lifestyle and making good, healthy food choices has been way, way more challenging than it was to quit smoking. I think because you can quit smoking and just never do it again. It's hard, yes, but you can't just quit eating. You have to make different choices, but you still have to eat. I HAVEN'T HAD PIZZA FOR 7 WEEKS

First of all, racing tires have almost no tread. They don't want it to slow them down. Fresh asphalt is an unknown. After cars run on it for awhile, they develop "grooves". You'll hear some cars like to take the "high line" (run near the outside wall) or "low line" (run near the inside) and as they follow that line, they wear a path in the track. Drivers love to learn where the grooves are at each track and use them to their advantage.

Race will run today at 1pm since they packed it in last night. You'll have to reset your recording.

I mentioned we have an American Idol "pool" at work. Evidently our newest and youngest hires are all AI fans. They wanted to do a "pool" like for the NCAA bball tourney.

The one thinks this is a great idea and wants to patent it.

Anyhoo, Round 1 is to start with all 12 boys and then pick the next 10 (as 2 get voted off each week), and then pick the next 8 and then the next 6. Repeat with the girls.

At this time we will go to Round 2 where everyone starts over with the correct final 12 contestants. Points from Round 1 will carry over to Round 2.

Sounds like something a bunch of accountants would come up with. Evidently we don't get enough of math during our 60-hour weeks this time of the year.

So, I only picked correctly on one boy who got voted off. The co-workers think my picks are horrible and are happy as they think I have just given them $10.

Anyhoo, it will give us something to look forward to - to help morale.

You need to give the young'uns more work. They clearly have too much time on their hands.

I will admit it - I am a fool as well. I have tried to quit on numerous occasions, mostly while I was pregnant, and have always gone back. I am looking into quitting again and will try. But it is VERY, VERY hard.

Janet - its a shame you got up on the wrong side of the bed.....go back to your bed and roll out the opposite way - there easy, peasy

barb - have a good tanning day! its great that you have the owners trust. that is a wonderful accomplishment within a week - BRAVO (or is it BRAVA) I am not too sure why those smilies went bye bye - oh well - they were neat ones. oh - the simpsons comment was because the race ran late and the usual Sunday night lineup (Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad) were not shown at their usual times.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday. I kinda avoided the laundry a bit yesterday and opted to do food shopping instead so I am on a mission today I want a speed bump sized pile again.
