Okay you lovely people...I MUST go to the bank and the pick up some stuff at the store....stopping by work to tan too :goodvibes (going to try to get a session of Hydration Station in....gotta see for myself how this thing works...if they want me 'sell' it ;) )

catch you laters.......

Let me know what you think of the thing. It looks great!

Oh...I forgot to quote this.....

I don't mind hurricanes. I plan to live more "inland" so as to not be 'as' bad. Here's my thinking..... I would gladly trade 6+ months of cold/can't go outside for 10 months of yes I can go outside and risk a hurricane or two... You can prepare for a hurricane and usually after it's gone, it's still warm out :goodvibes ...granted there is no ac, but I'll take the trade! :thumbsup2

No, no, no- himacanes, not hurricanes.

But I don't come from 6+ months of cold. I have already used the AC in the car. I don't do well without AC. I don't know if I want to live day trip distance away. Seems like it would kinda ruin it for me. I would like to live an easy days drive away though so it would be easier to go more often.

I called the employment line and basically got an eff U. The operator said (rudely) that I would "be contacted only if there is any interest." The way she spoke = unpleasant.

:headache: Keep after them. :wizard:

Hi. Just popping on to say hello, I'm alive, and thanks for your emails and PMs to find out why I was missing! :goodvibes .

Truth be told, Mike and I are dealing with some major crud pie at work, and I just haven't felt like posting here cuz my mood has been really sour, and I didn't want to spoil anything or bring down the thread.

I thought about posting several times, but I'd type it up, and then think, "Who in the sweet hell wants to hear this?!" Or, I'd think, "Do I really want this up for all to see on what my mother calls the Inter-web?" :rotfl:

So, hi, I'm here. I'm alive. I've done some half-butt reading .. but you know how I am with that. I believe I gave myself an infinite supply of free passes though, right?

You are welcome to post your good and your bad here but I understand not wanting it posted for the world to see. Just know I am thinking about you.

My head it fuzzy, but I'll try. One of the reasons Dale Jr tried to re-negotiate his contract at the beginning of last season was so that he could have more ownership of his car... and would, therefore, have more control over what went into and was done to his car. He said (very politely) that he didn't feel that his team could be competitive with the current setup. There were several races last year where Dale Jr was in the top 10, only to have engine trouble knock him out.

Mark Martin was contracted with Ginn Racing. I want to say he is in the second year of a three year deal. Ginn Racing sold out to DEI (including Mark's contract). Mark didn't choose to drive for the witch... he got sold to the witch.

Oh yeah. Makes more sense then him going voluntarily.

Hey Jodie!

And, HELLLOOOO? Since when is this not the dumping ground for all the crud in our life?

That's what friends are for. Even friends in a box.

We're back from the doctor's office. Dr Broomstick was in rare form. He actually smiled at the boys and made some jokes. Not good jokes, mind you, but he tried. Daniel has an ear infection and Joshua has a sinus infection. They'll be on antibiotics for a few days.

I've rescheduled Joshua's MRI to next Tuesday. I called and told them what the doctor said, and they felt it was best to postpone the test for a few days.

I'm going to go rest again.

Hopefully the antibiotics will do the job. Glad you didn't have any problems rescheduling the MRI. Now go back to bed.

Okay, it's really boring here at work, so some basement pics. This was our effort to make the basement a bit liveable so DS15 could actually have his friends over and have somewhere to hang out.

Looks great Marcie.

No kidding! I'm quickly discovering that I need to check in 4 or 5 times a day to stay caught up. :surfweb:

Oh yeah. If I don't check in several times a day it takes me forever to ketchup!

Florida gets my vote too! :sunny: Then again, I live here & don't want to move. ;) Does my vote still count?

Of course your vote counts.

Poor baby. I didn't realize a bursted eardrum would heal naturally. That's good news! I'm glad she's feeling better now.

That's what the doctor said. She does have an antibiotic ear drop for it. I guess as long as it doesn't keep recurring then it heals. :confused3

Pat O's patio would be a nice place for a meet, if you don't go during the hottest part of the day.

BTW, where do you all get the great smilies?[/COLOR]

A lot of them come from smiley central.

Coastermom is Mary.

thanks...knew I was forgetting someone :headache:

In my defense....she's still new around here :grouphug:

Okay...so I got to do the Hydration Station. It was :cool1: My skin was so soft afterwards...I couldn't believe it. Got up to 116 degrees by the time I was "cooked" ;) But, it's gradual and starts at like 80 or 82.... After the first few minutes the steam really kicks in and by 5 minutes into it, you can't see your feet...total steamin'! The massage was pretty nice too...altho, I think it would be 'better' if it were more 'contoured' to your body instead of 'flat' Nonetheless, I enjoyed it and my skin is so soft. (Not that you would be able to see being tan, but my stomach and legs and chest were red when I was thru....guess from bringing the blood circulation to the surface.... :goodvibes ) If you can find one near you, I'd recommend it...especially on a chilly day. However, if you're not about steams and humid hot (on your body, your face is kept cool with a fan), I'd skip it.

Oh...and ya know what else.... (lemme use 'dumping ground' here for a sec)..... I need a new credit card with some good rewards. In May, we'll stop using our Disney Visa (cuz have no plans to visit Disney anytime soon) and I'll need something to take it's place. Only condition is NO annual fee. Interest rates don't matter cuz we pay the bill in full each month....so....any suggestions? :confused3 I was on a website that compared a bunch of reward cards, but they all seemed similar. :confused3 Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks! :grouphug:

Ok here is a good one for all you homies that I came across today and its called rules to live by

1. “Drink” from the everlasting cup every day.

2. “Steal” a moment to help someone that is in worse shape than you are.

3. “Swear” that you will be a better person today than yesterday.

4. And last, but not least, when you “lie” down at night, thank God you live in America and have freedom.

I am not as good as I should be; I am not as good as I could be; but thank God I am better than I used to be.

The Hydration Station sounds wonderful. I just don't like to be in the heat without AC inside.

My only recommendation would be something that has rewards you can actually use. Either airline, or gas, or cash?

Okay....I give up! WTH is a himacane? :confused3

It offends me that they call them all hurricanes - like her. Men can do just as much damage! :rotfl2: HA! Yeah I know corny!

Dear Jodie,
we miss you. please post. TALK TO US. WE LISTEN.
we are your friends in a box.
:grouphug:

what is the Twilight series Marcie is talking about?????.

as a Harry Potter fanatic....let me commend you DM for reading it. will talk to you any time about it.
in case you wondered how much of a freakI am , i have had a MUGGLE licence plate for years......

in other news, every single job i applied for has to be done ONLINE and they contact you if THEY are interested.

weird..but must be the way they do it nowadays.
:surfweb: .........i totally understand what DM is going thru.

So, I applied to several places online and NOT ONE has called or e-mailed me back in any manner. No "we'd like you to come in for an interview" or "we're not looking at this time" or anything. :confused3 Most also use that unicron personality thing. Ack.

Now here's a baffler: I applied online for Universal. Again, no contact. I find out that they're having a job fair next week, as they need people, yet no contact! :confused3 :confused3 :confused3
Universal is VERY hard to work for. I had an interview with them for a Buyer position when I first moved down. The interview went very well but I didn't get the job. Since then, I have the same experience. I apply and nothing!

Dare I ask? How do you feel today? :(
MUCH better...I guess I held it off...knock on wood.

I vote Fla. I need to live close enough to the Motherland to make DAY trips :thumbsup2 Todd keeps telling me about houses for sale in his area....
And there are many STILL for sale.

I called the employment line and basically got an eff U. The operator said (rudely) that I would "be contacted only if there is any interest." The way she spoke = unpleasant.
Yup...that sounds like them. :sad2:

i could hop a plane and get to your place and fix that soup.......

you would love it.

next time i am in orlando/october 08, i need to make lots of soup for you to freeze......
you're my homie, i would do that for you

come on over to todd's place and join us for soup.
Aw shucks Mac...that makes me feel special.

Hi all-
Sorry I haven't been here. Did anyone miss me??
Been pretty busy. I can't even catch- up.

Both Chrissy and Matthew are in their class musical program tonight.
I am a little tired today tho.
I need to get dinner started so I can drop them off at school tonight. THere are 2 performances. DH and I get to go to the later one.

Hope all is well with everyone.

:grouphug: :grouphug: to all that need them.

It's odd. I was able to go in in 1999, apply, interview on-the-spot, came back for a 2nd interview, got the job on-the-spot. I worked there for over 6 years, mostly good, a couple of bumps here and there, but otherwise a solid record.

Madness, I tell you. Madness. No 300 references, please.:rolleyes1

Mi amor said I'd like the HP series and sent me Sorcerer's Stone for Late December Holiday. Needless to say, I'm hooked. :p I must say, if I had a character in the series, he (my character) would be able to do a spell that nobody else could. Then again, his bloodline/backstory would Justify why only he could use said spell...:worship: :worship: :worship:

Ok here is a good one for all you homies that I came across today and its called rules to live by

That was nice Lawrence...thanks for sharing :goodvibes

The Hydration Station sounds wonderful. I just don't like to be in the heat without AC inside.

It wasn't "hot" as in 'being in the sun'...I actually didn't FEEL hot....I just knew I was cuz I was wet when I was done. Your face is not enclosed, so you have a fan circulating cool, fresh air on you. I meant people who think 80 degrees is hot and humid.... ;) I think you would like it :thumbsup2

That's what I'm looking for...cash or air...or something we'll use. We usually only fly Southwest, and their reward system stinks :headache: So....we keep looking....

::yes:: People/companies don't believe in 'paper' applications anymore :confused3 Online now. Did you put your resume on Monster dot com? Still wishin' you luck :wizard:

MUCH better...I guess I held it off...knock on wood.

That's good...see...toldya....rest....

Well...you at least have THAT going in your favor for when UO has the 'job fair' ;) (as long as you weren't fired) You'd think they'd want someone with the experience :confused3 Make sure it 'sticks out' on your resume to them. A lot has changed in the 9 years since you worked there...like Penny said, you can't even apply in person with 'paper' application :sad2: Still....good luck!! Hope you get a job there you like.... :wizard:
