I wanted to give you guys a small update on the dog situation. A co-worker overheard me telling someone in the office today what happened over the weekend. She and her husband are apparently fairly large contributors to the SPCA...which I didn't know. Anyway...she called and demanded to speak to the Executive Director (the same one I sent the email to) but got her secretary.

When I got home today, the ED had read my email and is now going to get with the counselor who waited on us this weekend. I'm hoping to receive a letter of apology and an invitation to come down and adopt Ginger...but I'll have to wait and see. I'll let you know what's going on.

Okay....so I've read all 5-6 pages I missed today, but I cannot reply tonite....

I am beat. I am sick. DH is sick and NOT going to work Tuesday

Bubba went to the doctor....He was approaching bronchitis, so he got an inhaler, steroids and antibiotics.

The friend in the neighborhood who is supposed to bring his homework home when he's sick, didn't, because HE was home sick too.

My first day at the tanning salon went well...just learning where everything was and how things worked....didn't have a chance to tan as Bubba had a doctor appt. at 4:30 and I worked till 4.

After the doctor, we came home, DH came home and after a few minutes of conversation, I took scripts to the pharmacy. Came home and fed everyone, did dishes and back out the door to go GET the meds. Helped Bubba with an assignment he got Friday that is due tomorrow.

My throat hurts. My head hurts. All of my DH hurts. I'm going to bed and hoping things are better tomorrow....

Sorry Penny....will get that pick to you tomorrow....or the next day.....

My goodness, all of you sick! I hope you all feel better soon. I agree, you should all sleep in tomorrow. Sorry you had to do so much running on top of it.

We did WDW last year(my first time) and their was really no major lines except on fast track. I would love to save $$$ on fast pass.

for barb & her brood, no fun to be sick

metro - pull all the strings u can...it's what makes the world go 'round
almost afternoon for me cause it's a snooooooooooooow day

DH & youngest digging out, hope we don't get the ice storm on top of it they were calling for on forecast this am , especially since DH is working night shift
day started weird, mother decided she had a stroke ; took a peek @ her no visible signs ; she's a bit out there to begin with tends to get som odd ideas.

she thought she had another one last spring & got a million dollar work up - they proclaimed her very healthy for her age @ hospital-no plaque to speak of ect.

not going to drag her to the ER in a foot of snow since she can barely manage to get around with a cane, her doctor is mia...told her to let me know if she feels any different...hope i made the right decision. sigh

it was not meant to cause any hurt feelings. i see that it did not go over well. i was being a jerk, what can i say.....

there are many on this thread that want to talk and discuss the nascar event and drivers. please continue to do so as this is your thread also. please do not stifle any postings over my ignorance. if you stop talking about nascar, i will know i am to blame for that.

there are a lot of topics that come and go here and none of them should be stopped over something stupid i did. i am really sorry. i changed the title back soon after i did it. i wasn't thinking straight last night. what i thought was a joke wasn't to many of you. it won't happen again.

putting myself in your place, i would feel bad if someone glossed over a subject that was important to me. you are taking a dream trip to daytona and this subject is extremely special to you. i want to hear what you have to say about the cars and drivers. if it is important to you, it is important to me.

please continue to post about it, you don't have to keep it to a minimum

Did you know that the Daytona race - the first race of the season is considered NASCAR's Superbowl! Man do I wish I was going with her. Someday!

Hey gang - checkin in this lunch hour. Since I am done with my traveling - I can come home for lunch. (Saves $$$)

Thanks to Fletch and Tracie for the wake up call. I'm going to use my 2-hour snow delay as an excuse. It then turned into a no-school day. This made Jr. happy.

He is going through the trials of junior high when you change your friends, and the "cliques" start up. We all want to be in with the "cool kids". Here they call them the "preps". Silly me - I didn't know these were cool - as I was a preppie in high school - and we were not cool - we were the nerds. For his birthday - he wants to have about 4 friends to sleep over. But he does NOT want this one kid who of course will be very hurt if he is not invited (as will be the parents). This kid has been invited to everything since 2nd/3rd grade. Of course, now he wants to be a "prep" and I think he "trash talks" to my Jr, when the "preps" are around to make him look good.

Not sure what we are going to do yet. Just a little drama at the Jaws household.

Lori, Tricia, & Penny - I did NOT know that Daytona was the first race to open the season- I thought it was the last race. Silly me - I did know that it was HUGE HUGE amongst the Nascar fans. If anyone around here goes, it is a big thing.

Does this count - when I was 5/6 years old, my family went to Florida (they were just building WDW). We got to take a drive around the Daytona race track. I know my dad really liked it.

Well, I need to head back out to the office. Going to get a massage tonight to help my stress.

I have a feeling God is trying to tell me something. As everyone is getting dogs. Someone at work brought in their new puppy and I just melted. So, considering it.

For all of you dog experts - what is the best breed -
I do have allergies (poodles do not bother me) - is there anything else other than poodle?
Need a small house dog - that would be by itself from 7am to 4pm most days.
Let me know your opinons.
