I actually went ahead and checked on it. Through expedia everything is available except the Beach Club Villas. That is 23 resorts I still have to choose from.

 see? what do I know :confused3

Motorcycles are very bad! I lost many friends on them while still in school. Told my kids they were never allowed to own one. If they buy one knowing how strongly I feel about it they have been told not to come home.

Don't have to worry about that with DH....seems a little mishap and wicked road rash as a result from riding one with his bro when he was younger took care of that for me :thumbsup2

It's easy! Trust me!

Oh..it's not that I wouldn't TRUST YOU.....it's just that I am THAT 'duh' :rolleyes1 ...ya know...that 'blonde' thing :rolleyes1

heck, i'm still glad i whipped out my APs @ the meet @ Margarittaville & discovered they were NOT the BOGOs...

i would've had a heck of a surprise the next year:scared1:

yinz guys set me straight...mentioned phamton's name @ the gate & it's was the magic password - all was right with the universe

of course, DH & DSs passes (same name) still wont' scan.

hope it'snot an issue when jr heads down alone in April:confused3

I think you should have swapped them for new ones.....not scanning is not a good thing....maybe they don't scan cuz they mix them up.....jr has Dad's and vice versa? :confused3 gotta love those biometrics :sad2:

okay, dog & pony show over...DH done; i won:rolleyes1

:lmao: good for you :thumbsup2

Good, well not the accident part but good that he knows better than to ride one.

I have an interesting motor cycle story. When I was in the 8th grade we went on an end of school trip. As I said before I went to a VERY small school, everyone through 8th grade was on this bus. Our principal was a very old man. He went to pass this guy on a motorcycle and did not clear it completely before starting back over. He clipped the front of the bike and flipped it sending the guy flying through the air. Fortunately he was not hurt badly. Can you imagine a bus full of kids seeing this. :sad2:

Oh..it's not that I wouldn't TRUST YOU.....it's just that I am THAT 'duh' :rolleyes1 ...ya know...that 'blonde' thing :rolleyes1

If I can do it anyone can do it. Well, maybe not my mom but thats just because she would rather not learn and let someone else do everything for her.

I think you should have swapped them for new ones.....not scanning is not a good thing....maybe they don't scan cuz they mix them up.....jr has Dad's and vice versa? :confused3 gotta love those biometrics :sad2:

Those things are such a joke.

Morning homies...what's going on? :teeth:

Morning Todd. Today is grocery day for me. How about you?

Okay...so Jennifer is sleeping in.....thanks Todd....

Gettin' ready to go to work......

Don't work to hard Barb. I really wish Todd had been a little quieter. I didn't need to get up so early.

Morning everyone!

Morning Katie! Congrats to you & the boys! :yay: :yay: :yay:

I'm going to have to ask for one of those free pass thingys. If Jodie shows up, please tell her I need one. ;)

Yesterday was the big appointment with the Pediatric Neurologist. Everything went well. Mostly, we just gave her his medical history, the copies of all the tests they have done on him so far, and what led up to him being referred to her. She gave him a basic physical and that was it as far as this initial appointment.

He will have an MRI, under sedation because of his age. He will have an EEG. We will meet with her again in 2 months to discuss the results of the tests.

She wants to take him off Dilantin and put him on Topamax. That will be a very long slow process. I will start him on Topamax in 10 days and he will be on BOTH drugs for about 2 months. The Topamax has to build up in his system before he can be weaned from the Dilantin.

The reason for the delay in starting him on Topamax is that she fully understands that I want to be the one administering the new drug and she has given us the green light to head to Daytona next weekend. Yes, people, one week from today I should be making my way to the track to watch cars drive in circles.

Some rules about seizure prone children that I have to live by:
-I have to be the sleep police. Tired brains are more likely to seize, so he must get a full night sleep each and every night.
-He can't be left alone in the bath. If a seizure hits, he could drown before we knew something was wrong.
-He can't climb trees. If a seizure hits, the fall could be dangerous.
-He has to wear a helmet to ride a bike, but kids are suppose to do that anyway.
-He can't ride rollercoasters. The experience is a seizure trigger and rollercoasters can't be stopped if he has one.
-I now have to keep with me at all times a dose of Diastat. It is an emergency use rectal gel for treating a seizure that lasts more than 5 mins, if 911 hasn't responded in that length of time. His school will get a dose as well.
-The treatment of seizure: Turn him on his side. Keep the area around him clear (so he doesn't hurt himself). Do not put anything in his mouth. Call 911. Make sure he is breathing. Time the length of the seizure if possible.

Hey, doesn't that sound like fun!

He will be on medication for a MINIMUM of 2 years. Once he goes 2 years without a seizure, then they will re-test him. If his tests come back normal at that time, then we will discuss weaning him from medication.

She was a very nice lady and it was a very reassuring appointment. I feel like we have a plan in place. One of the best things she told me was that there is no need to try and cause a seizure for them to know what his triggers are. I was really worried about that.

So, that is all I know right now. We don't have the MRI or EEG scheduled yet, but they told me it will probably be a month or so.

That's probably way more than you wanted to know, but it helps me to sound it all out. Thanks for all of your concern. It really helps.

Tricia, that sounds like a lot of restrictions but really, in the long run, because he is young, he won't know any different. I'm glad that the Dr. was reassuring. That makes all the difference in the world.

moral to the story: don't piss the principal off or get on his bad side......

Tricia - Thanks so much for updating us on our boy. Of course it was not more than we wanted to know. I can not imagine having to deal with all that. I'm glad the doctor was reassuring. Remember we are here for you whenever you need us.

tricia, thanks for sharing about our boy. after you get in to the routine of the new meds, it will go smooth.

i have been thru that with son where taper off one med while introducing a new med at the same time. after a few days of it, you will feel confident.

keep a notepad or pocket calendar and mark off when you give each dosage so you don't get them confused.

hi damo, you are up early.
want to join the "i hate snow club" with me?
you can be first vice president.

Count me in. I can't shovel the stuff higher than the snowbanks already are. So glad the DH is finally coming home today from his 3 weeks in SC. He can have his snow shoveling job back.

I've been up around 7 for the past week. Since I'm here alone, I seem to go to bed quite early and get up quite early.

:grouphug: :grouphug:

Tricia , glad our Josh is okay. Sounds like Momma will be able to relax in daytona, if only for a few days.
So who is staying with him?

IS Brad okay with the info?

:grouphug: :grouphug:

morning guys & gals:banana:

must of made my point, DH made breakfast:eek: and i got my anniversary bling, will take a pic & post later

tricia - very good news, think it's a good thing the dr. is so thorough:wizard: ; get ready to watch that long succession of left turns:rotfl: (still think that is so funny, not sure i'll ever get the fine points of it lol)

damo poor DH, down in sunny SC;), have u ever seen them go collectively bonkers when they get a light coating of snow...@ ex's aunts house once pre easter - it was a sight to see - cars everywhere off the interstate.:confused3

kfed - can't remember if i congratulated u on a great season:thumbsup2

lori -i'm going to go back & re-read, not sure if i follow the expedia/DVC availability. I thought only the developer's points were able to be sold until 30 days priorpopcorn:: ; then DVC could rent them to general populace

mac good luck on the car repairs

Enjoy your day! not sure if i'm going to clean, shop or re-do DS muffins ( which for some reason didn't come out well yesterday - although the dogs are happy to have them as treats) pre mass #1 this evening.

Janet, when is Sidney supposed to be playing again? Must be pretty soon? How are the Penguins without him?

Hi Mac! Have fun while you are out. These new servers are just wonderful, aren't they?:headache:

Can't wait to see the bling!

Sorry I confused you. You are right about the developer points. I was just saying I don't care where we stay for those three nights, DVC or regular CRO inventory. So there is plenty of availability at the regular Disney resorts. I am also figuring that since I was still able to get VWL then I have a little while before I have to choose if I want to stay at SSR or OKW. I may call and see if there is anything at AKV and go ahead and cancel the wait list. Decisions, decisions!

Oh yeah, did you know MS is now open 7 days a week?
