kittie wound up having surgery, it wrapped around it's innards ; wound up living a long life...

our home has been tacky-tinsel free henceforth

I think it's funny how Day 1...everyone needs to form an alliance IT'S DAY 1 PEOPLE!! However...it is good entertainment and makes the time go quick

Meaning that there are so many rooms available that I'm not worried about it. I know I have a while before I have to book something. SSR & OKW will have something for quite a while still. And AKV is still building so as rooms are ready they are released to inventory. I will be able to get something. But I am really leaning towards Sea World after Universal so I will probably just book an offsite room.

See...THAT is what confuses me.... I can't believe DISNEY....DISNEY would have rooms available yet Just blows my mind But, hey...good for you. You're a DVCer, you know what you're doing...I don't

chips, chili & cheese and what kid eats chicken fried steak & steak fingers (aren't those the same thing, just different shapes) 2 x's each in 1 month, without ketchup?

even @ the 7th month mark when i can book @ other resorts, i keep the 1st resort until i'm sure i get the 2nd ressie

comes from getting shut out in the cold 1st week in Dec. when we 1st joined...will never happen again.

wonder if Simpsons U-hollywood will be done about the same time as U-Orlando?

do they usually co-ordinate major rides debuts?

ds will throw a fit if we don't see it this summer if it's open @ U-H, was on the fence since most of U-Hollywoods seems to be duplicated @ Orlando except for the great sounding tour & a few other attracitons.

really hoping it might be open in Orlando when his school trip visits the last weekend of the month in April (spring?)

If you miss it in the summer...you'll catch it in October ....right?

did you know they make ceiling paint that is tinted pink so you don't miss a spot?

dh used to have a painting business when things got "lean" or layoffs back in the reganonmic days...may have to whip out those ladders if things take another header.

When you think about how many rooms there are there it takes a while for them all to book up. I was able to book at one of the smallest DVC resorts just a week ago. Even Universals rooms aren't booked up yet and there are a lot more of them.

As for DVC, rooms are released into inventory as they are finished. They can not be reserved before then. Since they are in the process of redoing part of AKL into DVC rooms there are "new" rooms there as a block is finished.

I will make a decision soon. Promise!

Ahhhh...don't be fooled.... We used that 2 years ago when we did our living room and such over. Bought the "wet when pink, white when dry" ceiling paint. What we didn't know, was that it was PINK on the PRIMER (we didn't prime the ceiling, were painting it white again )...so, wasn't pink for us.... But on the few primed spots, bright, screaming pink

DVC booking strategy in a nutshell (or, how high can we jump thru the hoop that mickey holds? )

You own a use year, in my case it's October. I can book @ my home resorts (WLV & BWV exactly 11 months ahead of time from my day of check out). I can book at any other resort 7 months ahead of time.

You buy into either the resort that DVC is currently selling (SSR/AKV) 160 points; or go the resale route minmimum contract of 25 points if you can find it.

While i'm sure SSR is loverly, it was too far flung for us; wanted the WLV. We shot & scored; added on (minimum 25 points same use year).

One year we wanted to visit the BCV, so we kept our 1st ressie until I was sure we'd secure a room @ BCV; then i switched out the UY points & banked the difference.

Well if it was a real popular time for DVC members it would be different. Summer times aren't the biggest times for the "majority" of members. Most likely I could wait until about 2 months out for the summer because for those days I don't really care where I stay. Now if I wanted a particular resort for Christmas then I would call day by day at the 11 month mark. Heck I can always stay at a moderate if I need to and pay cash.
