Yes DD at the JHS was more then just dropping her phone out of her pocket. She was texting which made me even more crazy   . I was never so embarrased to have the dean say to me .. Mary I was very suprised to hear that this was your daughter . This is the same dean that never heard a peep out of my older one. I also know these people because I get called to work there every now and then so it made me even more :sad2: that this was going on . BTW still sticking to my guns no phone . :thumbsup2

I am EXHAUSTED today I was in first grade today and they are sooo cute but I am wiped out from them . This is :teacher: no easy job. :rotfl:

I really would love to stay and chat but I am falling asleep at the computer and it is ONLY 8:20 at night . The next few days will be spotty for me as we have a PTA meeting at 9AM to set up for our book fair , the book fair all day friday and somewhere in there I need to clean ,:laundy: do this , go to order my new bed look for carpet and paint , go to a ladies night out party Friday night and go to the dentist with my DD . I am just tired thinking of it all . :scared1: :scared1:

Night , Night everyone maybe I will drop in in the afternoon Thursday but Don't post too much then I will never keep up :rotfl2: .

whoopie pies are kinda like two slices of cake with a really creamy almost buttercream- like frosting in the middle.
devil dogs on steroids.

Evening gang!:)

Mac - I will take the morning shift for Fletch. Don't worry, Marcie, I'll get those boys up.;)

Tricia - you have been in a :headache: mood for a few days now. I am sending you  and :grouphug: It seems like you need them. Enjoy your drinkiepoo.

We have had good weather here also. Temps in 60s as well. The temps are starting to drop and it is very windy now. Should have some snow tomorrow. I don't think we will have the snow some of you have (Mac, Marcie, Sharon, etc.)

As for the grades on the computer. So far, DS teachers are only posting grades after assignments. So this doesn't help us stay on top of what's coming up. Of course, when you are 13(almost) they expect you to take care of yourself.

Metro - CONGRATS on 7,000.:cool1: :cool1:

Janet - just because      I love those nanners as much as you do.

Hope to check back to read Barb's story. (Barb - you have kept us waiting long enough.)popcorn::

-Jennifer

So, I'm thinking of having a rum & coke.

Make your plans accordingly. ;)

And for post # 7,000 I return to the SAN Part Deux thread!

And they say women talk a lot! :lmao: Congrats Todd. Glad you chose to share it with us.

Kinda, but about 4 inches in diameter and filled with a marshmellow fluff and confectionary sugar frosting.

:lovestruc

I think this calls for an emergency trip to the motherland. I'll volunteer! :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Okay, so do we have ANY other Catholics on the thread? Not trying to get into religion here, just looking for someone to whine with about the fact that I'm starving to death! And I got pizza for dinner, figuring it was an easy non-meat meal (first year I've had TWO kids old enough to not be allowed to eat meat) and being completely brain-dead, ordered it with pepperoni! :rotfl: Brought it home, looked at it and figured it out. We all piled our pepperonis on DS12's pizza slices!

Then we had to go to mass this evening for Ash Wednesday. I was amazed at how packed it was - almost as bad as Christmas or something! Got there 10 minutes before mass and got one of the last couple parking spaces. DS12 had to leave 55 minutes into it for soccer - I was hoping it would be over by then, but that was optimistic thinking. So he and I snuck out, drove him to soccer (changed in the car on the way), came back, and was still in time to join the other two boys for communion! So it's been a busy day!

Tracie - my son has ADD. He was diagnosed in middle school. We new beforehand that he was really forgetful and couldn't stay on task, but when he got to middle school with the increased responsibility of homework assignments and projects it really became an issue.

I'm just commenting here, even though it won't be relevant to Tracie's concerns, because I just find it interesting how different it was with us. Matt as I mentioned fought this most of elementary school. But it seemed like middle school was the "cure-all". Having classes for only 45 minutes and getting to move around and be in different settings with different teachers really helped him. And teachers seemed to be able to handle him much better in small doses as well. Because he was so bright, and outgoing, and so many kids at that age are so withdrawn and uninterested, they really seemed to like him offering comments and participating, even if it was a bit active or loud. Suddenly the "he needs to sit down and shut up" became "it's so fascinating to have him in class - he seems so interested"!

So, I'm thinking of having a rum & coke.

Make your plans accordingly. ;)

Okay - non-Catholic! Or is alcohol okay? I'm sitting here drinking water - woo hoo! And wanting my wine and cheese! I guess maybe I could have wine, but I don't like wine without cheese. :snooty: Are you all feeling sorry for me yet?!

Off to make dinner.

I'm taking the lazy way out and making hamburger helper and a salad. :rolleyes1

YAY! No hockey practice tonight....more snow instead.

Another non-Catholic! And somehow we missed the snow this go round! Mac/Rose - how much did you guys end up with? Can't believe DH made it to Detroit this morning and down to Columbus (Ohio) this evening without any problems!

i can hear the snowblower snarling. i can.

DH just went to get gasoline for the blower and i ordered pizza.

earlier, i made my belated birthday cake. devil's food.

Non-Catholic! (I'm just kidding here - so no one get offended - please! I just keep reading all these food things and that's what catches my attention!)

Penny - I'm going to let my laptop fight it out with your snowblower since I think mine hates me as much as yours does. Although now at work my paper shredder has started growling at me - literally! You know the noise the shredder makes when you put paper in? Well, it just does it out of the blue randomly! I've cleaned all the teeth out a couple times and still, I'll be sitting there, typing on the computer and "grrr"!

I bought plane tickets today for a weeklong vacation this May to my favorite little resort in Fort Lauderdale!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Just the motivation I need to lose a few pounds!

:dance3: for you! for me! I want to go somewhere warm! My mom is going to WDW next week with my brother and on a cruise the following month. I'm feeling really bummed out just talking to her!

Welcome Marcie to the 'mean Mom club'.
Woo hoo! :cool1: I'd like to thank the academy...

Mary I was very suprised to hear that this was your daughter . This is the same dean that never heard a peep out of my older one.

I went through this last year when I had to go to the HS to get oldest DS' phone from the dean of students. I was at my youngest son's school first (I volunteered there) and happened to mention to his teacher that I was heading there next, since it was her husband. She asked "oh, do you have a scheduling problem or something?" and I'm like "no, I have to go pick up my son's cell phone"! :rolleyes1 She just looked surprised because of course DS12 was one of her "perfect" students and said something like "oh, that's usually what it is but I was giving you the benefit of the doubt!"

Evening everyone!

Just a quick fly by because I got home at 10:30 and am pooped!

I'll have to catch up with all of you tomorrow!
