since i am the only one in the house that will venture to a grocery store, it is not decaf...........

when they need something at the store, they leave me notes.

this morning i woke up and saw " OJ " on a piece of paper on the counter.
i read their little minds, good enough for me....

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

That is what we use when driving to Florida (or anywhere long distance)- that is one good thing about the tractor trailers

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:thumbsup2 St Larry would remind us all to make sure we can see their side mirror when we're drafting behind them...if we can see it; they can see us;)

mac - ha, you know it (at least the diamonds & gold; just too lazy to take it off everynight). If i take either set of my earrings out for more than the day, the holes close up - so weird, i've had them pierced since i was a tween:confused3 . Anyone else have that problem? that tanzanite is tempermental stuff somewhere between opals & pearls (it'll mostly sit in the jewelry box). Orange suitcases are a great idea, no worries to spot them bad boys...i've got so much crap (let's call it bling) on mine to make it easy to spot...luggage straps, ribbons, tags you name it.

poor bubba, hanging after his party...did he get good bling?:wizard:

tricia keep it coming...now when somebody seems to forecheck another driver into the wall - that is considered fair play? no sickies allowed this week (take a shot of southern comfort or Jack in hot tea - that'll do the trick...or at least you'll feel better while you sniffle)

penny - put me down for DSs guy (who i don't think even finished last season - Michael Waltrip:thumbsup2 , thanks to his website:rolleyes1

I now know he's #55, drives NAPA/toyota camry & that he has earned nearly $6 million in racing prizes...also, has that boy-next-door, all american corn-fed farm-boy look most of the racers seem to have. They all look rather small in stature, not jockey small though. Is that a requisite too, as in weight matters?

Tracie - i know what u mean, i think something's going to give not only up to the trip but, while we are away. Only by listening to the advice here, have i grown a backbone & told my overly demanding family to chill their jets, the pile of crap that represents whatever of their dramas, will still be there for me to sort thru when i get home. We need our R&R if only to keep from going completely MAD:cheer2:

DM - go speed racer!

i hope to snag one of them cups in October:thumbsup2 . Broke my fav. mug (mickey mouse ;) ); bought a sub @ Disney store...damn thing - the handle gets hot...probably made in china by a 7 year old

i'm usually a maxwell house drinker too, good Kona or Jamican (coffee:rolleyes1 ) if i can get it;

with whole milk to clog my ateries - i detest skim, 2%, whatever - would rather have it black.

did pick up a package of Folgers Carmel something over Xmas - not too shabby for a change.

please post your choice
i am writing this down

[the big prize? you may get stuck with me visiting for a week. ha ha}

Ok. . .sign me up for #88. .:cool1: :cool1:

Oh. . . and, uuhhh. . . if you visit my house for a week, you might consider YOURSELF and the stuck one :rotfl2:

penny: i shouldn't say this but have not looked up that site.
and, i haven't paid attention to the lessons you and tricia have given us.

can i just pick steven tyler and be done with it?

NO pick again

Haha! This is what I was thinking too! Sorry, Penny, Mike would break my fingers if I picked a driver. Even randomly based upon the sound of his name. We have many things in common; one of them happens to be a complete ambivalence about football, the other is a loathe of anything NASCAR. I cannot succumb! :lmao: You guys are killing me. Can you just start labeling posts: "Jodie, ignore this one?" or "not for Jodie?" Between football season and NASCAR, I am losing all the meat in the posts, and I'm not ignoring you; I am just not following the chatter. :rotfl:

PICK ANYWAY- no one is gonna tell Mike!

if you just got a pick again, well then PICK AGAIN

if you have not picked, PICK ANYWAY

thank you to tlinus rvgal, w wesing and keishshadow
for picking.

STILL WAITING FOR THE REST OF U's
Barb, show the listing to Ry and have hm pick one.

STEVE TYLER AND RICKY BOBBY are not valid choices.

Mac, too funny ... what if you marry off your boys, and their wives find "OJ" on a post it on the fridge?! Your daughters-in-law will love that. :goodvibes

are you kidding?
with my luck the dil would move into my house.......

she would have it made here.

as far as the trip goes.....got the room at the HRH, Jim took off the Friday before and Monday after in case we are driving (pre and post car lag days), I called the AAA office and they have the tickets because I didn't buy them on the special sale they had :headache: I have reward night hotel rooms lined up one for the way down one for the way back. I just have this feeling that something is going to "happen", you know??

Kait is getting pms and not being very cooperative these days and has been late Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and today in getting to school (we are talking just by 3-5 minutes, but still they mark them late and you need to provide a note for them to get into school). I can wake her up at 530 in the Angry Mike hours and she STILL wouldn't be ready on time - and my "prodding" then yelling, then raving like a lunatic doesn't help at all. :confused3    I mean, yeah, we only live a 3 minute car ride, if that, from school....but COME ON!!!!! How long does it take to straighten your hair, put on the pants, shirt and go???? So Jim wasn't too happy about that and started with the "she better get motivated to move in the mornings or there is no way in HE!! that I am pulling her @$$ out of school for a *&%$#*% week for vacation" ! - If she keeps it up, there is no way they will allow her to be out for a week :sad2:

So that is why I am starting to get upset/nervous. He told me that and I got really quiet.....and after we got off the phone.....I'll admit it - I cried :guilty: Because I really want/need this vacation. That may sound selfish, but darn it, the mini vaca to the GWL in December was nice, but nothing beats our April/May gig!!!!

In addition to that, I am certain that this will be the last year we will be able to pull the kids out of school because the agenda/curriculum is going to be harder with Kait in 8th, Court in 4th and Frank in 1st next year.

don't worry, it will turn out okay.

i agree with you on pulling them out of skool.
8th grade was the last year i pulled any of mine out of skool.
when we would get out of school around may 21, i would pull them out the week time of mother's day.

knowing what i know, books are collected may 10th, and grades for awards and graduation are already completed by may 14 as that was in our junior high and elementary skools back then.

i figured they would not miss any learning material during those 12 days we were gone.

mike, hope you are starting to feel some relief with the meds for your bronchitis. you don't want to go into pneumonia that's for sure.
so, we are number 4 on your list.

is that ahead of your wife and universal dreaming?

My wife is #1, I assumed everyone here would know that :goodvibes
Universal dreaming happens during all the jobs, it keeps me sane, I'm sure we all know that feeling :thumbsup2

The interview got shifted to 2p. It went well, but they needed someone for a 1.5-2+ year commitment, as the office was starting a new training program. I would've been the perfect candidate (travel to Tampa/Clearwater would've been req'd, but that's okay, I'd also have to learn a lot of stuff which was fine with me). Only problem? I'm going to Denver in 6 months.

D'oh.

They did offer me a chance to come in on Wed and do chair massage for an in-office event they're having for 2hrs. It'll be $20/hr while I'm there, plus I'll get my name/face out there.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you. It would be a shame if Kait's birthday trip got canceled because she's not a morning person. Keep me posted!

For those of you looking for a good Ricky Bobby driver (not like Ricky Bobby, but the whole anti-Nascar thing)... pick somebody like Patrick Carpentier or Juan Pablo Montoya or Jaques Villeneuve. They are all crossover guys from open wheel racing (Formula 1/Indy). They are all *gasp* foreigners. ;)

I always loved the gay, french driver of the Perrier car in Talledega Nights. :rotfl:

for u cruising peeps, possible changes to the way we cruise; all to protect NCL/Hawaiian sailings/American ports...public comment period is over, they are supposed to decide soon:confused3

Janet, I've read about that too. I would be bummed for an Alaska cruise, as I'd rather flying into STTLWA than Vancouver. Plus, wouldn't that eliminate some sea days? Sea days are my favorite, and I'd hate to lose them because the ship has to stay overnight in a port now. Bummer. Can't wait to see what the final bill looks like.
