and we change clocks sunday morning!

Just what I need - one less hour during my "busy" season. Hurrah!

Oh well, at least thanks to Penny so I will be on time. Can't stand to have the clocks all off.

Right now - husband's alarm clock, my alarm clock, the clock in the car, and my watch are different. And it bugs me in the morning, as I can't tell if I'm late or early trying to get the kid up and out the door.

:)

The next time I'm thinking of going to Family Night at McDonalds, I think I'll find a sharp object and JAB IT IN MY EYE.

It'll be more fun.

It was a "pajama party" so the boys were in pjs and we all had hotcakes for dinner.

Between the dentist this morning and Mickey Ds tonight, I feel like I've been run over by the parenting bus.

So we had no snow at all. How about you? Oh, and it is 50 and rising today.
We did get some snow, but not enough to amount to anything. There was a little on my car, on the roof of the house, and a little stuck in the dead grass this morning, but none on the roads. It's 45 here now.

Tricia - is Family Night something your McD's does as a promotion? Never heard of those around here. Don't know that need to get folks to come as they are always busy and the one nearest our house is the slowest.

Boys seemed to enjoy themselves. And my DS13  McD's pancakes and wants them on Saturdays and Sundays.

:) jennifer

The boys look like they're having a great time. The themed nights sound pretty neat. We never had anything, but the same ole, same ole + the horrible horde of people. :sad2:

you can't argue with an idiot:lmao: - mac is a wise woman; sound like something that should be embroidered on a throw pillow.

lori - stinks about your computer, my opinion of best buy is rapidly declining. i cannot believe you start baseball so early, think the boys would freeze their fingers off;) . i must admit i dread my turn @ concession stand, doesn't help that i'm allergic to bees & they always seem to be hovering. we'll miss u this weekend.

DH & I going on a road trip too on Sunday....

1st Erie River Rats game:cheer2: ; get to drive some 300+ miles up & back (wonder how much gas that'll cost me lol?). Youngest DS volunteered to stay home & keep an "ear" out for ma jik she has a problem while we're gone...so i guess we're set...gonna be a long day

penny DL is really expensive, actually; i think everything in CA is really expensive:confused3 they must be paid well out there. Good luck on the surgery, had to be frustrating for you to deal with it for so long.

barb - will probably miss u, going to switch off between idol and the returns (we're holding our breath:rolleyes1for the 2nd ) disclaimer - no political feelings were meant to be trampled in this post;)

mary - i've never sat thru an episode of Lost or Survivor, probably don't know what i'm missing. Did catch a few minutes of something called Paradise Hotel (i think?)...not sure if i caught the gist of it or not...think the peeps need to hook up to stay on the show...somethings are better not understood.

wendy - nothing like girl scout cookies in the deep freeze:thumbsup2 , i could eat a whole box of thin mints in a week. i finally fed the last 2 boxes of trefoils i had stashed to the dogs before xmas. I haven't been "hit up" yet...laying low; hope to escape this year. ps imo u have great willpower!

I'm ready!!! That one day trip just wasn't enough for me!

Oh, and has anyone looked at my thread about the wings at the Lone Palm and at Margaritaville? I've got to know if they use the same recipe!!! We had the Jamaican Jerk BBQ wings from the Lone Palm when we were there on the Saturday before last and my mouth is watering for some more!!!!! PLEASE does anyone know if they are the same??? My older sister has a recipe for Jamaka Mistaka Wings and I'm thinking about making them....

:confused3 Whatever my hubby gets for takeout. I'm still not feeling well. I haven't cooked in over a week, & I'm really getting sick of takeout. YUK

i have yet to ever get sick of takeout or anybody else in the household cooking;)

jennifer - good luck on sylvan, sorry you were stressed:hug: ps our McDs has Tues as family night (happy meals $1.99)

tricia - shame about the dentist for the boys; didn't know u could get pancakes there during the day (not sure if i ever had anything there for breakfast other than a hash brown & egg mcmuffin-yum).

I saw your post, but didn't reply cuz I have not eaten them, but I did find this:

Margaritaville® Jamaica Mistaica Wings
by Todd Wilbur

Oooooh wings. You gotta love those flavorful little non-functioning chicken parts. When they're good, they're real good. And these little guys from Jimmy Buffet's chain of island-themed restaurants rock my tiny inflatable boat. The preparation is no big secret: fry the wings, add the sauce. But it's that habanero honey sauce recipe that makes these suckers so addicting. Add to that an easy-to-make mango ranch dipping sauce and you're off on a non-stop cruise to chicken wing heaven. The restaurant serving size is for 10 wings, but these top secret sauces will be enough for 30 wings, and you'll need it! If I have one word of caution it's to be very careful mincing that habanero. Use rubber gloves or avoid touching it at all. This is the hottest pepper in the world folks, so if you do touch it while mincing, and then proceed to touch a crucial and sensitive body part, you'll discover the big "mistaica" real fast.

Habanero Honey Sauce
1 cup water
1 6-ounce can tomato paste
1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup molasses
1 teaspoon minced habanero pepper (1 pepper)
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon dried minced onion
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon hickory smoke flavoring
1/3 cup white vinegar

Good luck!! Lone Palm IS Mville....I would assume they are getting the food from Mville....has GOT to be the same.... Hope it's what you're looking for :goodvibes

Wait.... isn't this the same son who was conspiring with her a few days ago? :rotfl: (My memory's not good enough to remember what they were up to.)

I saw your post, but I've never had the wings. Sorry :guilty:

You'd be surprised how good a sandwich put together at home can taste at times. I've been going through back problems for awhile. Before I had back surgery, I was on 2 1/2 months bedrest to take steroid therapy to get my back strong enough to operate on it. Our church brought in wonderful meals for dinner everyday, & fed us twice a day on weekends, during this time & after my surgery. They always brought a nicer meal than I'm sure they cooked for themselves, & it was VERY MUCH appreciated. After awhile, we just wanted soup & a sandwich though. You know..... too much of a good thing..... The same is true for takeout. Unfortunately, we have to resort to going that route way too often, because I'm unable to cook. I mourn for the days when I could spend 3 hrs. cooking dinner.

Yeah for at least 3 last days cause the first 2 is offsite :scared:

2 days offsite is still 2 days on vacation. :woohoo:
