Barb - Congrats to Bubba. I know that sometimes it seems like they are just doing to much but they can handle more than we think they can. That is really something to be proud of at such a young age.

i read on the chicago thread that pete will put the mega threads back on monday.

he has not made a decision yet on what he is going to do. he did post that we should make up new threads for the mega ones not on the forums now if we want.


he said the dis ran faster again with the megas off.


if i can find that post ill show it hiere.

I thought you all might be interested in this "long thread" update from Webmaster Alex. This is what he has to say....

The experiment with removing the long threads surprised even us! As you can see the boards are flying and there were no other changes made. Because of that we need to find a way to deal with this issue. We want to see what happens on Monday, which traditionally is our busiest day of the week.
I want to assure everyone that we will be bringing back the posts in those threads, we just need to work out the best way to do that and keep the performance of the boards where it is now.
In the mean time please feel free to start a new thread.

I'm sitting here with my wine and cheese instead (you'll find that to be a trend). I also have my second course of water/lemonade and chocolate licorice. Yes, I know it's weird!

Just picked DS and his girlfriend up at Snow Ball. He'd invited her over afterwards and said it was okay if we were asleep. Talking to her dad at pictures this evening, evidently it wasn't cleared with him! So I'm on first chaperoning shift, and DH, who went to bed around 10, will get up in a half hour or so and do second shift!

Sorry I haven't been here guys! I do follow along, but just haven't had a chance to respond!

Bubbasmom I took the girls to the mall because they had gift cards left over from Christmas time. We threw so much out that they wanted to pick up some stuff that was on sale in their new Favorite stores Aeropostal and Hollister .... I have no idea if I am even close to spelling them right at all . MY oldest DD now only has 4 pairs of jeans down from over 15 . MY DD that is 12 is still over stocked with clothes but she goes to public school and needs them . DD that is 15 is in Catholic HS and well the Uniform is the best thing EVER !! .

Hey I just heard we may get a dusting of snow . I am looking for anything at this point .

That's a LOT of jeans! My kids, who have WAY too many clothes, probably have 2 pairs of jeans each. One to wash and one to wear! Confirming that you spelled them correctly, yes, those are the brands of choice here! Although DS got a Gap gift card, so we picked up a pair there (although even with a $25 gift card, we still spent more than we would have at say Walmart!). But it's cooler, right?

I did just order DS12 a pair of flannel lined jeans. For some reason he wants them since he still (in 7th grade!) has a half hour recess each day at lunch, and they go outside unless it's below ten below zero. Guess I'd want them too in that case!

Um, and if you want snow, I'll be glad to sent you a whole lot more than a dusting! I took pics today and hopefully tomorrow can post pics of the wonderful snow here and of the Snow Ball "dressy" pics!

We got engrossed in watching "Pretty Woman" earlier this evening. The kids hadn't seen it, and I swear I've seen the second half a zillion times, but it's been ages since I saw the first half so we just watched that part. Then we played a game of "Eat it", which is basically Trivia Pursuit, but all the questions are (junk) food related! Kind of fun, but like Trivia Pursuit, WAY too long of a game!
