well, i nominate brab for coming up with the idea and doing all the work.

ok, maybe randy helped a little.....

do i have a second?

My only concern is being confused with BraD!

oh brab, that would never happen.......
i also do typos for words like ypou, and anything else next to the S key.

Instead of giving out awards, would it not be more fruitful to give out boxes of candy?

i like the way Fred thinks!

:rotfl2: i would agree....but, we have a lot of 'dieters' and 'workouters' here trying to get healthy....so, the trophy was more fitting.....

besides....i love chocolate...you'd have to pry it from my cold, stiff hands :rolleyes1

i like chocolate too.............can't eat a trophy.....jk

This is a "making ugly people less ugly" day, right?

::yes:: ....always Saturday....HH isn't open on Saturdays.....yet

Don't know about the rebate check they will be sending out but we done filed our taxes and already started getting everything for our universal vacation:woohoo: the rebate check that they are suppose to be giving maybe a little extra money to take or DW and DS's new bathing suits and god Knows DS's need em:lmao: :lmao:

uh..... i hope your check is more than enough to buy new swimsuits ;) Either that, you buy some very expensive bathing suits :rolleyes1

I'm not feeling so sunshiny this morning. :sad1:

I've been trying to ignore that tickly, scratchy feeling in the back of my throat for days....can't ignore it anylonger.....I've got a damn cold.
I never get sick....blah
I'm hoping a hot shower will help.

It's a good day to wrap up in a blanket and play my new computer game I guess.

I'm not looking forward to sitting in the cold ice rink tonight. I think I'll take a couple of dayquil and see if it helps.

Sorry you feel/felt bad  I hope you got rest today and are feeling better....and, sick or not, I wouldn't want to be sitting in a cold ice rink :scared: ....take lots of blankets and your hot chocolate from Dunkin Donuts ;)

..... It's officially the week-end, so I'm going to break open Huntsville after my next up of tea!

Bubba got Huntsville for his birthday ;)

All I can say is just keep swimming ,just keep swimming. :lmao: Thats how I am getting through the days . BTW I LOVE DORY :thumbsup2

She was my favorite part of that movie :goodvibes

Hey guys! Just wanted to hop in and say hi! Will be back later to 'ketchup' after I go buy some ketchup!

:wave2:

Our 100 year old apples trees didn't have many apples this year, so I bought a couple bushels of drops for the deer. Time to wander down the driveway and throw some under the trees.

How nice of you to feed the deer that snack on your dead flowers :flower3:

Aaawww. . . chicken noodle soup, lots of fluid and naps (or video games).

Hey Wendy.....how ya doing?? Ya haven't given up the battle yet, have you?? You better not ...I wait for your sig ribbon to change to 15! :hyper:

BRAB, i was typing and typed her name backwards and didn't change it when i did that yesterday.
i think i created her a new name......

I don't think you did it 'backwards', just transposed the 2 middle letters....'a' and 'r'......

you do a good thing for society.
you make ugly people beautiful

i try :confused3 unfortunately i can only do SO much :headache:

macraven said:
have you ever bought the green ketchup?
don't, it sucks big time.

We bought the green "Shrek" ketchup years ago...when Bubba was littler and into a "dip" (ketchup) phase. EVERYTHING had to be dipped (ketchup). This at an age where he was heavily into 'cars' too.... Well, I put green ketchup on his plate, above that, honey mustard and above that regular ketchup....made a "traffic light"....he thought it was the best thing!!! (Of course, I created a monster, cuz then EVERY time he ate, he wanted "traffic light dip"! :headache:  )

Never a good idea to "borrow" bread. Just keep it. Nobody will want it back used. :scared:

Oh c'mon.....wouldn't ya wanna try just once?? :scratchin

Good morning. Good evening? Not sure what it is right now. My body hasn't recovered from being on a midnight tour and I have no concept of time.

Guiltily admitting that I have not gone back the several pages where I left off . ... just coming on to say hi, hello, how are you?

If there are any crises, please email. Or set up a chat. Or if I owe anyone congratulations ... Or, if Lori could send me cliffnotes. Thinking of going for pie now ... Do you hate me yet?!

uh.........................

i can remember when my boys would want to "share " with me.
ugh........

when mine were babies, i always used the same type of coffee cup to use for my coffee.
all of them from the time they were walking would grab my coffee cup off the table and try it.
after dropping my coffee all over themselves and where ever they were, they quickly learned not to drink out of mommie's cup.

mommie's cup= ick

the times i would drink coke in the morning was fine. i just used my coffee mug to keep the boys out of it.
i trained them earlier what was in the mug they wouldn't like.
mr mac is a coke addict and i feared the sons would follow in his footsteps.

that would mean there would not be any coke in the house when i wanted it.

and THERE is your motivation ladies and gentlemen :thumbsup2

Taking a break from the cleaning you should see how many clothes I need to give away . And not to mention the ones we need to throw away . I swear teenagers will keep anything . I saw some of the stuff in their draws and was like :scared1: Now we need a shopping trip though

I don't get it?? :confused3 You cleaned out the drawers and got RID of stuff.....now you're going shopping to buy MORE?? :confused3

Here is a photo of my DD turning 24 last fall with her tiara and sash!

She's beautiful....like Ma! ;)

i was kidnapped today by DH:love:
to the jewelry store:woohoo: our anniversary is on Valentines Day and our 15th last year was a lean $ wise date. I was instructed to pick out a few pieces of tanzanite and he'd go back and surprise me...

jennifer the more  's the better:thumbsup2

oooohhhh...I :lovestruc tanzanite :goodvibes DH got me a tanzanite ring last year.... Mom got me a gold tanzanite bracelet for Christmas She got a really good deal on it in Puerto Rico....much cheaper there! ;) DS got me "imitation" tanzanite earrings too....i really think they're pretty..... don't know what it is about that stone....but I'm not too fond of amethyst :confused3 Hopefully DH will go 'overboard' and you'll get a Valentine/Anniversary combo gift  Let us know how you make out!

Barb: Cool award....do we put in nominations?

nah...ya don't have to....it's just an award for a deserving person....something you say or do for any reason will get you one... i really can't say exactly what/when, but if you all think there is someone deserving for a reason, I WILL accept nominations..... ;)

uh....on my keyboard "s" is on the left side and "y", "o", "p", "u" are on the right...no where near the 's' key :confused3

crap :headache: almost forgot the Bubba/karate story..... :rolleyes1

At karate, they have a program called SWAT. Stands for: Special Winning Attitude Team. Cannot join or volunteer...you must be ASKED by the school owner/head instructor (Mr. Morgan) to join. Came home from work a week ago on Friday night and an envelope with only our last name on the front....hhhmmmmm :scratchin ....."can't be good" I'm thinkin'......

So, I read the paper inside and it is asking Bubba to be on the team....his invitation and some other info about it.

So, after much discussion and him thinking, he wants to do it....great. :headache:

This is even MORE of a committment now....in addition to his at least 3 classes a week, he is committed to 'helping out' 1 class a week and attending the monthly meetings. Cannot miss more than 5 or you're off the team.

The meetings are a chance for them to 'learn' how to be 'leaders'....(think "Intro to Teaching 101)... they learn how to do warmups, timing, how to run a class, etc....apparently ALL instructors start here. So, he is going to be helping run a class (luckily he can help out the class before his on Fridays...so, we aren't running over yet AGAIN :headache: ) which entails: doing the warmups, helping the instructor, holding pads, helping students who are having trouble, etc..... (being a blackbelt, he can choose to help ANY rank class because he has already learned, tested and passed the knowledge of the material at that belt level....whereas, if you are only 1/2 way to your blackbelt, you can only help out the classes that are lower ranks than you ;) ).

So, that is the big news...didn't mention it last week cuz wasn't sure if he wanted to do it..... That once a month meeting will have him at karate for his class, then home during the next class, and then back for the meeting :faint: ....luckily we live close:thumbsup2 Told him if he was committing to doing this, I don't want to hear ANY whining there isn't time to 'relax' and 'play videogames' :rolleyes1

I hope he can handle this....between the skool work, his regular classes, soccer games, practices and clinics, and now the SWAT....I hope he isn't stretching himself too thin....after all....he IS ONLY 9!

Sorry you feel/felt bad  I hope you got rest today and are feeling better....and, sick or not, I wouldn't want to be sitting in a cold ice rink :scared: ....take lots of blankets and your hot chocolate from Dunkin Donuts ;)

That's a cute commercial. I can't bring the hot choc from DDs thou. He's not a pee wee any more. :rotfl2:

Us moms have these cool looking fleece blankets in the school color with the school logo on one corner and our son's name and number on the other corner.

The trick to staying warm, is to grab your seat right when the previous game is getting over and the person is leaving. It's still warm! :woohoo:

Heading out in an hour. Trying to psych myself up for it. You can do it, you can do it...

That sounds like a way kewl blanket :thumbsup2 .....neat keepsake! I'd try to snag a 'warm' seat too.....maybe one of those warmer/hunter cushions they sit on?? I always took a blanket and folded it up to sit on....cushy AND warm :goodvibes

LOL, typical man response! I usually just play solitaire, used to play the sims games years ago. You know, that part of Ravenhearst where you have to play the little game on the TV to get the key? That's the hardest part of the whole game for me! I gave up the first time and had DS do it! It's officially the week-end, so I'm going to break open Huntsville after my next up of tea!
How is Huntsville going? That puzzle on Ravenhearst is a killer...I cheated on that one. ;)

Bubba got Huntsville for his birthday ;)
Does he like it?

well, i nominate brab for coming up with the idea and doing all the work. do i have a second?
I will "third" it...since Damo already seconded it. :rolleyes1

My only concern is being confused with BraD!
Oh I don't think that'll happen Brab. :rotfl:

You guys lead such exciting lives! Looks like it will be just me again tonight. DH is in SC for another week or so. And DS is heading out to see the girlfriend. Good thing I still have the dog who loves me but she's sleeping. Oh well back to on-line solitaire.

barb (brab is too hard to type lol) ryan is going to be one busy boy, along with ma & Pa!

nice of yr mom! we got sick of haggling w/the peeps @ the port, always feel as though we're getting worked over;) . Figured the local boys could hook us up just fine. DH went to a couple places without me & was shocked they were trying to pass off the "simulated" as the real deal (sim. price too:eek: ).

ranges from dark blue to light purple (desired effect a cross between an amethyst and sapphire) very different for me since i'm partial to diamonds. Got a lecture as to care, etc.; evidently, it's tempermental - not as bad as opals; yet have to be careful. Went with white gold settings, again - all my other stuff is yellow. He's being so nice/generous, think he feels bad that i didn't get much in my stocking for Xmas when everyone else had goodies galore:confused3 either that or he's guilty about something:rolleyes1

mac - it'll be 16 big ones (if i add in the failed attempt would be nearly 31 years under my belt - longer than a few peeps here have been breathing:rotfl: ) call me methuselah

as for staying warm @ sporting events, i swear by under armour & wearing a pair of pantyhose under socks, etc.

off to make popcorn & milkshakes for the boys, no wonder i'm always tempted to nosh.

Hey Wendy.....how ya doing?? Ya haven't given up the battle yet, have you?? You better not ...I wait for your sig ribbon to change to 15! :hyper

I'm almost there. . . . it's been a "water retention" week.

I'm very committed to making healthy choices and have decided the weight loss is just a benefit of that. :thumbsup2 I'm still taking alli and still love it. :lovestruc Honestly, I have not made a single bad food choice for 26 days. The other day, dh brought home some of those snackwell devils food cookies. they have no fat, but do have more calories than I am willing to spend. So, being "water retention" week, I'm of course craving chocolate like the addict I am and decided I would eat ONE cookie. . .well that turned into 4 and I had 200 calories in like 2 minutes!!!:scared1: So I told him he had to eat the rest of the box immediately and never bring them home again. He ate the rest of the box. . . and let me shove them all in his mouth at once. . . well, I could only get 4 in there without choking him but I laughed my a$$ off. Then watching him try to chew that up and get it down made me laugh even harder. So I think I burned most of the calories doing this :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: He thought he was doing something so nice for me, but I schooled him on calorie count and presenting chocolate anything to a food addicted fat person with PMS. Poor guy. . . I eat frozen fruit bars when the sugar addiction kicks in and makes me feel like spinning my head completely around (you know the scene, right)

So I'm battling the addiction one day at a time. Eventually it's got to get easier. . . . :scared:

Evening guys.

We just got back from grocery shopping about 45 minutes ago. Don't ask. Let me just say that some very odd people grocery shop on Saturday night. Well, other than us, there were some odd folks wandering around the store.

Stuff is put away, at least the perishables. I'm going to herd the males into bed. Whatever bed they land in. At this point, it doesn't matter who is where... just go to sleep so I can.

I am SO tired. Can you tell?

It's a Saturday night.

Who wants to join me for a Guiness and crisps?

I got a good one for you homies.
I got an e-mail from a site like myspace that I belong to but haven't been on in forever and learned my aunt wants to be added to my friends list but thats not the funny part in the subject space it said Aint and was wondering what is was about and opened it up and here was the message.
Hey this is your aint Mandy.
So I guess you can say the Hillbilly rule is in effect cause she lives in KY too.:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
