I'm on my way over to have lunch with Carol, but I just had to share. I got a phone call from the doctor's office. I have an appointment for February 8th with a Pediatric Neurologist! They gave me a website to download and fill out the new patient paperwork. Never had anyone do that before, but it's a good idea. Anyway, here's where we'll be taking him: http://www.childneuro.org/

Can't seem to catch up at all
Been too cold in the room where our PC is set up, so haven't been on the Disboards that much, b/c too cold in the room! Wish I had a laptop
Kids are home with me today. No school for MLK day. DH went to work as usual today.
My mom came over yest for a few minutes and complained ALOT!! She just loves to lecture at me Has nothing to do with my dad. Just loves to lecture and put me down when DH isn't home. She does this all the time. DH and Matthew went to visit his dad yest at the nursing home. I and Chrissy stayed home and my mom came by and lectured and lectured.... She just came for a few minutes to show me pictures and then did her lecturing
I try to let it go in one ear and out the other. My mom has been like this for many,many yrs. Ok, enough venting from me....


Barb- hope Bubba had a great birthday, whatever he did. I didn't get to read up the pages yet.

Already have my fave blankee since school is out today have to contend with DS 11 yelling dad can ya fix me something to eat or DW saying can you fix him something.
sitting here now with a qizzy stomach smelling DW cooking soup beans and hate the things when ever I not sick

ha, poor St. Larry kwym; today DS asked for a can of wedding soup it turned my stomach...lost 2 pds, bonus pts Yesterday I had 3 afghans (the blankies, not the people lol) piled on me, just couldn't get warm.

rose - put on 2 pair of socks, always works for me

anyone else put their kids feet in plastic baggies (over their socks) before they go outside to keep them warm & dry....works. notice i said feet not heads

off in search of hot chocolate and my special added touch in lieu of a few marshmallows

Thanks for all the compliments on the cabinet DH built for me. I'll be sure to pass on the remarks. Although he doesn't quite get the "friends in a box" thing.

Wow - so you have a husband who builds cabinets and furniture and a son who builds computers?! You have it made! It looks really awesome!

now, if only he could or would cook once in a while...

Sharon - that is a very nice cabinet. Is this hubby's hobby or his "day" job.

Just a hobby. He's in sales, and his quiet season is in the winter. He has made in the past a blanket chest, curio cabinet and grandfather clock for his mom. She has told us they are ours when she is no longer here! It's so easy to find something to buy him for christmas as he always needs a new tool or router bit!

Sharon, absolutely beautiful!! Tell him he is VERY talented and all your box friends are in a "gimmie" stage I'm sure once the "set" is complete, it'll be gorgeous..... An antique in the making

Sharon - i cannot believe the craftsmanship in that console, your husband is an artist, u r so lucky...like the flatscreen (what size) & carpet too .

The TV is 42". The best part of it is this thou!

I can watch it from the bed or the sitting area.
I hate the green carpet. It's been there since we built the house in 1990. It's really hard to find drapes and bed linens to go with it. Not sure what kind of drug I was smoking when I picked it out.

About 1/2 an hour ago, I was sitting here at my desk talking to you guys, and good kitty who sleeps on top of a chest that is in front of some windows on the stair landing, started going crazy, pacing from one window to the other.
I thought maybe she saw a mouse.
