You should see me on myspace. I can sometimes be a bit more...vicious. This is just for kicks, no harm intended.

I saw I Am Legend. Decent flick.

And for some reason, the pics I just uploaded from my new digi cam are not in any of my folders. :confused3 :confused3
I followed ALL the steps, yet no pics. They're still in the camera, thankfully. I'll just have to re-upload them. :headache:

Have you seen the original? A remake of one of my fav. old flicks (black & whitepopcorn:: ); Vincent Price in The Last Man on Earth. DH hates scary movies:confused3 ; finally talked him into watching it a few years ago. He had nightmares; very psychologially disturbing...hee-hee. Like WSmith, so it's on my short list to see; thanks for the review.

Still shopping & wrapping, youngest decided he wanted Guitar Hero afterall today; of course local WM sold out of all 10 they had yesterday. Found one an hour away, told him he was paying for 1/3 & coming for the ride. Drug DH (who indeed is off work until Thursday:love: ). I picked myself out a new set of pots (hard anonized-whatever that means?) and we stopped for big lunch @ Hoss's. Got cut out cookies made, everyone helped - shocking - lol

having a bear of a time posting pics for some reason.

lori - tree looks great & luv DDs fashion sense.

barb - yep, A.Hole will be @ the festivities; probably face down in my shrimp tray. Congrats on being "done"; I cannot resist yet another run out tomorrow:rolleyes1 . tons to wrap, work best under pressure.

jodie - i'm getting a gross visual re bacon. Better watch out, those things tend to run in 3's

imo nurses keep the world running:thumbsup2

only good coconut is in a foo-foo drink:banana: on that tangent, here's a pic with my new friend (part of our loot from Royal Pacific - ha, including the bottle). He was just helping me pack up on the last night before dinner, nothing too see; move along:rotfl:
LegendCruise130.jpg

fyi, the beer was cheaper than bottled water:yay: in Honduras, Belieze & Cozumel:rotfl2: when in rome...
LegendCruise078.jpg

best part of all - they were practically giving Corona's away; it's over $30 a case in PA.

I never got a chance to post my ornament so here it is...

Nemoornament.jpg

I got this from Tricia and I LOVE it!!! I know she spent over our limit :rolleyes1

I love it Katie.....very cool for you :thumbsup2

And here are a couple of not so great pics of the tree:

IMG_5756.jpg
IMG_5757.jpg

Sorry that last one is so bad, hard to try to lighten it up just so you could see it.

WOOHOO :woohoo: Lori's tree! Love the pix of your ornabuddy ornament...will always remind you of our exchange. And your tree is gorgeous....prolly due to the abundance of bee-u-ti-ful Disney ornaments!! They were kewl! Glad to hear you're done with the shopping..... THAT is the worst part of not being ready. Baking can be done at home, wrapping, decorating, etc....but being out shopping.... :headache: The parking is a mess and when you are in line to pay for your purchase....some lines are so long, that you are in line longer than you're in the store! Forget it! You can have it.....

Guess what I am doing today- BAKING!! You guys have americanified me! I need to be super careful what I bake because of the kids allergies.

Woohoo Gema!! :cool1: How cool will you look to your friends??! :thumbsup2 We're rubbin' off on you.... btw...how'd they come out? :confused3

Post # 6,000 for me!! :cool1:

CONGRATS!!! :yay:

I believe that coconuts are different and she should be able to eat them. It is more in the fruit family than the nut family.

The coconut is a "palm" and not considered a "nut". You can be allergic to coconut, but it is not because you are allergic to tree nuts. Different group, different allergic reactions.

Hmmmm.... :scratchin .... Nuts.... Fruits....exactly who are we talking about here.... :rolleyes1

I have to go buy some cookie dough at walmart so we will have cookies to leave out for Santa.

Wrapping presents today ad figuring out how much of Ally's presents I have to take back. I always way over spend on her cause it is just so easy to buy for her. I actaully took some stuff back to Target the other day and wile I was there I bought more.

Glad you are done. Now can you come down here and help me wrap????????

Soooo.... get that dough? Take anything back...and NOT BUY anything else? (I hate when I do that :headache: ) I'll be right down to help you.......

I'm done too. Everything is wrapped and all that. Well, I haven't wrapped the family party stuff for my niece and nephew, but since we won't be exchange those gifts until Friday I've got time.

:thumbsup2 You dun gud girl!!! And yes...you can always leave the "after Christmas visits" to wrap afterwards....why rush it?? (Good feeling to be "done" ain't it....)

Gotta wrap presents, figure out what I'm taking back, figure out if I got enough stocking stuffers, if not go get some more candy, pick up a dvd player for the granddaughter that I forgot about, go to the grocery store, have a birthday party for Ally tomorrow, go to inlaws to visit with BIL who is on his way in from Colorado this evening, get invitations in the mail for Ally's birthday party for her friends - gonna have a sleep over for NYE, marinate a brisket for monday, smoke the brisket, and be at dad's about 1:00 monday.

DH and kids are going to cean house for me. Isn't that sweet of them

Whatcha think? Can I pull if off?

Oh yeah, and I have to get you guys Christmas cards in the mail. The envelopes are addressed and ready to be dropped off!! Yeah they are gonna be real late but I am sending them.

Gotta go get ready for a wrapping marathon. Everyone have a terrific day!!!!!!!

Lori...you can most certainly pull all that off....brave woman you are! (I'd cower in a corner somewhere...) Hope you got that DVD player to be SuperGram! (Dunno how that "little one" slipped thru the shopping list  (whoops!) So, do you 'rent out' your DH & kids for cleaning services?? If so, please send 'em here when they're thru at your house..... You're brave to still be sending cards....of everything, I'd forget that! (My Aunt actually sends out Thanksgiving cards...not a bad idea...get it done and outta the way early.... :scratchin )

Today Chrissy and Matthew are invited to a girl's birthday party. Actually, all 4 of us are going, as it's a movie party. We are going to see National Treasure 2-Book of Secrets today at the party!

How was the 'party' Rose?? Movie review please.... :rolleyes1 I didn't know you were an RN.... still licensed? Did you quit working to be home with the kids? (Definately a "field" you can go "in and out" of.....)

Daniel is much, much better.
I have to take inventory of my kitchen and probably grocery shop sometime before Christmas. I'm not doing another turkey. We've had 2 in the past month and I'm tired of it. I'm planning to bake a big roasting chicken, which I already have, but I need to check on side dishes and sweet stuff. I'll make chicken salad out of the leftovers and serve it for the family party on Friday. Am I good at thinking ahead or what?

SO GLAD to hear our Daniel is doing much better..... oh wait...YOUR Daniel.... I just feel like I know him for him to be "ours" here... :rolleyes1  (after all...you offered to share...remember?) You are VERY smart to do kitchen inventory... I just went to the grocery store tonite....let me tell ya... 8pm Saturday nite before Christmas is a PRIMO time to go....hardly anyone there and all the shelves were restocked or in the process of....no shortage of anything.... woohoo!!!

someone having a "White Christmas"??!!??

 yep....but it ain't US! Absolutely ZERO chance....

Are we playing "Pass the Barb" today? Since she's finished and everything, we could just pass her from house to house... :rolleyes1

Can I just 'pass out' instead??? :faint:

I am a keeper of a secret of a family surprise on Christmas, so that will be fun once the big secret is revealed. (My cousin and his wife, unbeknownst to my entire family, are coming home for Christmas. Not only are they coming home, but they'll be announcing her pregnancy. :) )

I went into work very early today because I was relieving Mike. He got selected for a 30% off coupon at Kohl's. Kohl's opened at 6 am, and I wanted my honey to be able to go shopping before it got crazy crowded. I had to make him pick out a gift or two for my dad. We did get him a gift subscription to Blockbuster Online, but unless he has something tangible to open, he gets cranky. Mike was mainly going to get a new winter coat for himself though and just took advantage of the holiday sales. That 30% off comes in handy!

I just have to wrap those 2 small gifts for dad, and I'm done. But I suppose when you don't put up a tree or bake, then it's easy to be "done."

WOW!! Yay for your cuzin...and OMG for your brother!!!! I remember you telling us about how they didn't want kids and live in CA (i think?) and how 'pc' they are.... I'd just give your cousin the swimmy diapers and forget the bro...not your fault they didn't inform you while you were on vacation.... How did Mike make out at Kohl's?? Get that new coat?? Will he model for us? .....

3 feet of snow already. :scared1:
it will be a long freakin winter in the northeast and the mid atlantic states. DH went out this am and bought another 150 pounds of salt. the snowblower hates me. I can just feel the anger in the garage. :scared:

i just sneezed. OMG now my ears hurt.
still sick. throat and neck feel like i have been thrashed around by an entire team of defensive players. still croaking.
some symptoms now are making me think it will change to a bad cold. cannot taste much, but sure as hell hurts like a mother to swallow. someone drive up here and kill me now!

it is very dark out, no sunlight and rain tomorrow.
the good news is that we have had the longest day and now we will be gaining daylight.
:hourglass :hourglass :hourglass :hourglass

Yay! We start gaining daylight...woohoo.... I hope you feel better soon.... I know the crappy weather doesn't help your "mojo" either.... At least you can keep us busy with the football scores.... Philly is out of it...but, the ONLY way I follow is by what you are posting.... :rotfl: So, by all means....bring on the playoffs!!!

Well, it's been a pretty crummy day here.

If I got all that accomplished in 1 day... I certainly would not consider it a 'crummy' day..... I'd love to be able to get all that done... That would be Bubba and our's rooms.....

:headache:

I have been hearing that movie is very good....and I like Will Smith (loved him in Bad Boys movies).... so, any movie with Will in it, is usually :thumbsup2 in my book! Not sure what the problem is...are you labeling the folder you're putting the pix into??? You might have to actually (gasp!) read the owners manuel for the camera!!

Here is my tiny soapbox moment.

You believe in higher power/being/entity.
You don't believe in a higher power/being/entity.
You think there is a possibility that there is a higher power/being/entity.
You think there is almost no possibility that there is a higher power/being/entity.

Did I cover all the choices? Here's what bugs me. You decide where you fall in that spectrum of belief/non-belief, right? Why do most people think that anyone who doesn't reach the same conclusion that they do are idiots?

People who choose to believe are, for the most part, NOT mindless sheep who have fallen for the brain-washing trickery of the foes behind organized religion.

People who choose not to believe are, for the most part, NOT souless heathens who simply haven't seen the light or been properly spiritually educated.

People who have doubts are, for the most part, NOT spineless wishy-washy folks who won't commit to either side.

They are all just people. And they have all used the information available to them to come to their own conclusion... or are still withholding final conclusions.

Sometimes my family baffles me with the discussions we get into. I have never understood why we can't just say, "I see it differently" and move on.

Okay, I'm done. That was my Penny Moment for the day.

Ye gads ... just got back from dinner at my parents. My angry liberal brother and his wife are pregnant! :scared1: Forgive my shock: I just honestly thought they would never have kids. They have roughly the same due date as my cousin and his wife.

Now I have to figure out what to do: I stole some swim diapers from the HRH pool  for my cousin Meri as a joke that I was going to give to her on Christmas, but now not only will Tim and Meri be making their big announcement at my aunt's house, now Brian and Hillary will too, and I don't have anything for them. Because I didn't know. Crap. I am not unwrapping their gift to divvy out the diapers. I only have 3, so that would be stupid. I hate that I found out this late and I have to work all day tomorrow and Monday. Frick!

Dear Jodie, may I make a suggestion? get your liberal brother a flag. that usually shuts them up.

Finally, my lovely ornament from Sharon:thumbsup2 ; notice it's place of honor by my Stiller;)

Janet... :rotfl: Well OF COURSE DS wants Guitar Hero after all....why wouldn't he??? Good thing you could find one!! I heard that the Guitar Hero, the Wii and Zune's are the hardest things to find this year.... I was telling Lori Thursday nite that while in Best Buy Thursday, not only did someone "go in the back" and get a customer a Wii, but that customer was also purchasing a Guitar Hero 3 with it  There are a lot of people who wait last minute or procrastinate or whatever..... those people actually DO work best under pressure...not me...not about the 'crowds'... :rolleyes1 When I used to work IN a mall, I'd wander out into the mall and just people watch.... amazing how calm some are, how crazy others are...and, I noticed mostly men out there last minute.... You'll get it done Janet (check ticker for exact time left! ) ..... Just keep thinking THIS is your 'reward' for going on vacation those 3 short weeks ago... :rolleyes1

Gingy lives is pittsburgh, not Far, Far Away!

way, way cool :goodvibes

Uh-Uh...Gingy has been living in MY kitchen since last summer....

it is 10:21 and i cannot sleep due to the

syndrome.

just took an inventory of kitchen stuff.

need to haul my sorry @$$ out sunday and get a few things.
things that you never usually run out of , but when you do, it is like, crap, you gotta be kidding me.....

cooking oil
coffee filters
aluminum foil
more kleenex, since you went thru enough for the 10th mountain division
20 gallons of listerine, which by the way you accidently swallowed some the other night.:sad2:
man, that was downright vile

maybe get a roast beast for christmas dinner.

Yep.... I hate that "stuff" like that you have to run out of. I got cooking oil and "individual" coffees tonite too :goodvibes It was 'odds and ends' nite.... Usually I go on Sunday to get fruit and stuff for the week....was completely lost not getting my "usual" stuff for the week (still managed to spend same amount tho :confused3 ) Ended up with a couple pies for dessert, the coffee things...(individual packets for cups of coffee cuz we don't drink coffee here and I found out I am entertaining some family over the holidays :headache: ) also picked up some cocktail sauce for the shrimps I got a BJ's, bread, english muffins, milk, iced tea for company...etc.... just 'weird' stuff..... Glad it's over tho....not crowded, but cold out.... and I know...I shouldn't complain cuz we don't have any of the white stuff... My sympathies Penny
