you know, a lot of people out there think stalkers get numbers off the internet.

i called some people in her town and asked if they knew her.

readers digest version........they think i'm weird.

So, are you Lori's new official stalker? :lmao:

I am trying to put myself in those people's shoes. If you were to call my house and talk with Brad, he would (eventually) know who you were. I talk with him about you guys. If you were to call next door and talk with Carol or my mom, they would (eventually) know who your were... although they are both extremely suspiscous by nature and would probably treat you as a stalker anyway. If you called anyone else in my town, they would probably think you were a loony. Friend in a box? Get the net! :upsidedow

Hulllooooo, homies! Cancel that APB. Errrrrr ... do you even remember me, I should say?!

Yes, I have a new big boss.

I hope you'll give me a pass on catching up .... went back 40+ pages and still wasn't at the point that I left off.

Haha, I TOTALLY carded Janet! Don't take it personally ... I carded Mac too in October! We "card" everyone! But it was great to meet Janet and family! :goodvibes Can't wait to hear all about your night at RPR!

Tracie, guess you decided not to go? Mike was looking for you. No worries though; can't get rid of me that easily .... we will be there April/May when you're going. :thumbsup2

Anyway, hi and hugs and kisses to all. Missed you guys! Glad to be back. xoxx

Sorry...do I know you??? :confused3

:rotfl2: just kiddin..... we missed you around here! Welcome back! Any pix of the mini DIS meet??? I smell another one in the spring....

Welcome to Marcie & I's club of "our boss sux" club  :grouphug:

I think mac will give you a 'free homework pass' .....that's just too many pages to catch up on....
1.gif
then again, she has cliff notes :rolleyes1

That is great news Marcie!

Now, can Lori call all the people that Raven called and tell them not to sick the Feds on her or whatever? :scared:

Okay, now that I got the important news out of the way, I can go on to catching up!

just wanted to say sorry to everyone when I have been posting lately was in all caps and not shouting but the caps sometimes gets stuck.
so sorry if I made anyone think that and thats what happens when you buy from Dell and the warranty runs out:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I never noticed either, but as Mac mentioned, I'm another of the blonde ones! We also have had lots of trouble with our Dell, especially our laptop, which is why DH is wanting an Apple next time!

i'm putting one foot in front of the other and that's about it, decided to flush the rest of the pills down the john & see what transpires by just drinking gallons of herbal tea:idea:

Janet - don't worry about the trip report. That's the bad thing about vacations before the holidays. Mom and I went on a cruise back same week in December 2004 and it seems like you come back and everything is coming at you from all directions at once. And I wasn't feeling bad. Do what you can or what you have to to feel better - that's the important part! Everything else can wait!

marcie, st louis was hit hard the past weekend with the ice storm.
the airport had closed down for a time period.

i think they are going to be hit again next weekend.
i keep tracking the weather as i need to drive to the parents house to help on a health problem they have. they are about 10 miles southeast of st louis

the storm hit northern st louis and west.
if royce flies in it should be no problem.
driving would be difficult if the storm hits again.
power is back on in the spfld area now.

can't he stay home next weekend?
oh nevermind, i just remembered......packers play in st louie............

he will have fun.

Actually he's not staying for the game now. He's driving with another guy who (gasp!) wanted to get home to his family since it was the weekend before Christmas (what a concept). And now they have to leave earlier because he needs to get home to fly out to Ohio since he has to go next week since he didn't make it there this week! He looked into flying right out of St. Louis to Ohio and squeezing the game in, but that leaves the other guy driving back 10 hours by himself. Told them they should have just flown in the first place!

i have not received my ornabuddy box.
who hates me???:scared: :scared: :scared:

:sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

DITTO again! And good luck with your cat! I actually got a neat carrier at a garage sale this summer which looks like a big fluffy purse. You let the cat wander in and just zip her up (it has mesh sides). She seems to really like this carrier whereas she HATED the old one and would fight you tooth and nail (literally) when you tried to put her in! Unfortunately it's a really tacky pink color with black fur trim, but hey, if it makes her happy for the 1 mile trip to the vet, I can put up with it!

people answer in lori's area code. they must have some power there. the phones work at where i've called.

Just FYI, in Michigan our phone lines were NOT connected to our power. A few years ago during that big power outage (caused by the Consumer's Energy idiots in Ohio), we didn't have power for nearly a week, but we had phone. Here in Green Bay because nearly all the phone service is digital, we don't have phones if the power goes out. But probably a lot of places still do.

forgot to report i got a mysterious box in my box(es) of held mail:banana:

fyi, @ my age it's a thrill to be carded, for any reason:goodvibes

to think, i'm a real golden girl:love: and i owe it all to the info here on the DIS board lol

guess i should go help DH sort thru the mountains of laundry:rolleyes1 ; apparently while i slept he managed to wash several basketfulls...all i wanted for Xmas was my laundry done:woohoo:

I would agree with whoever said it....go back to sleep, maybe more laundry will get done  ....heck, sleep a little longer and see if the dusting or bathrooms get cleaned? :rolleyes1

I owe our LF status to the DIS too...would have never thought to even join LF :confused3 ...a year later...we're :thumbsup2

I only ever got carded once.... i was like 23 or 24 and went to the wine & spirits shop and no problem (not carded)....went to the beer distributor and carded :confused3 dunno??? but, was a good feeling to be carded and be legal :goodvibes

Glad you got your box....a happy day when you get that surprise in the mail....ain't it??

That is great news Marcie!

Now, can Lori call all the people that Raven called and tell them not to sick the Feds on her or whatever? :scared:

I warned her that she may have people coming up to her for months telling her about the strange lady calling them about her! :rotfl:

Yep. I opened my box and my new ornament is hanging on the tree. It is PERFECT!!! Can we talk about it yet? No??? :hyper:

See....toldya "patient" and "you" don't go together with this whole thing  Maybe we should set a 'time' to talk about what we got in real time in a chat room? :confused3 Good or bad idea??? (if a 'bad' idea, just tell me....I got mai big girl pants on...i can take it!)

I'm all catched up. My tummy is still hurting today. I wish whatever is unhappy in there would just get on out.

I'm going to go watch the Weebles dvd with Daniel. If that doesn't make me sick, nothing will...

.....and? :confused3

(Maybe try Dr. Vino :rolleyes1 :confused3 )

LORI IS OKAY!!!!

I called her cell number which I still had in my phone from our trip to Disney. They don't have power and they're saying possibly another week until they get it back on. The town itself does, so her kids are back to school, but many other schools are still out and they're out because they're further out in the country. They're staying with family who do have power, but no cable or internet!

She says to tell everyone hi and thanks for worrying about her!

Oh thank goodness!!!!!!
That was really smart of you to remember that the number was in your phone:cool1:

Just ordered Mary Poppins on Broadway tickets for mom, me, and sissy for a girls' night out in February. Wish Mike were into that. Thankfully, I have a family who loves plays, and we live abut 75 minutes from the city. Bonus!

That sounds like a fun night! We went about 45 minutes west of Newark, NJ to see DH's cuzin play in his band (Bad Company). Long story short....we ended up with a hotel room at Newark airport and going into NYC at 9:30 at night.... :rolleyes1 (ended up back at our hotel at about 3am :headache: )

Would this be 'buttmunch' sister we're talking about???

:thumbsup2

Barb - I don't know about where you live, but here its really hard to find a job with flexible hours. I had the perfect job for 10 years. Than the company was bought out and they got rid of all the part timers....I was able to go into work anytime I wanted between the hours of 6am to 11pm, as long as I got my 20 hours in. I still miss it. Been at the new job 3 years now and have to work 9 -3. Heaven forbid I need time off to take care of personal stuff like dr's appts. Once I get James graduated and settled into college this fall I might start looking for a new job. The only thing keeping me here is that the office is 1 mile from home and just blocks from the high school and ice rink.

Yeah...it's hard....try finding a job where your availability is Mon, Wed & Thurs 9-3:30-4. :headache: Not easy...but, have one now...there is bound to be another one out there...somewhere....after holidays will get back to looking a little harder... meanwhile, I now have TWO in-bins overflowing with work :lmao: ...yep...and in NO hurry to bust my @$$ to get it done either! :snooty: "Perfect" jobs are hard to find, but they are out there.....eventually.....

My stinky was on the phone with me today. Might be in the office tomorrow. Think I'll take a sick day.

:thumbsup2 good idea!!!

On the home front, DH spent the entire day yesterday traveling to...NOWHERE!

I got a cute little box yesterday and was all excited that it would be my ornament - :cool1: - but it turned out to be a package from my inlaws instead :sad1: . Well, not that it's horrible, but you guys understand!

Sounds like the 'perfect' workday for DH....paid to do nothing all day...uh, literally! :rotfl2: Like said, makes up for all those football games... I'm a firm believer in "what goes around, comes around".... :rolleyes1

Sorry you didn't get your box yet...... still something to look forward to tho! :goodvibes

....the church has FINALLY (it only took 7 months) gotten DS12's work permit approved so that they can actually start paying him.

2.gif

My boss was opening it and read it aloud and asked "Where's the 'happiest place on earth'?" I answered "Disney" (duh!) and he was just amazed I knew that. Then he went on like "How can they say that? Not just the happiest place in the country, but on the entire EARTH? How can they justify that?" Guess he's not on these boards that often!

Wow Janet - Are you going to do a trip report on CC at all? (Or here?) I'd be interested in reading a review of the whole trip! If not, a summary would be nice! What did you think of Carnival, the ports, the ship, the food, etc.? (Bugs notwithstanding!) What did DS end up doing and enjoying?

yeah...i'd be interested in reading too....but, i guess i can wait till after the holidays....something to look forward to next year ;)

Sounds like he has the makings of a lawsuit. Sue Disney for false advertising over the "happiest place on earth" slogan. I've seen some frazzled parents with screaming kids at the parks who would join in on a class action real fast.

:lmao: Yeah...some of those parents would claim 'false advertising'....happiest place on earth while screaming 4 yr old in tow :rotfl2:

so sorry if I made anyone think that and thats what happens when you buy from Dell and the warranty runs out:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:
