well, i do have the one video where the cat baby mommy traps the other cat kyla in a brown paper bag.

i had the sound on so you can hear kyla moving around in the bag....

but my house is a mess and fraid you all will notice
but then on the other hand, you would then realize i have told the truth about the mess this dump is at times...........gee, i think i talked myself into posting it here.

We begin to head to the Rockefeller Tree and stop at Toys R' Us on the way. It was packed! But we did see this guy...

i think it tasted really good.
no one else in the house has tried it yet.

so as of now, everyone that has tried it loves it. wow 100% satisfaction. the peeling does get a bit crunchy and it's not adding to the nice look of the pie but the topping is yummy....

i have 2 that are out of the house, 1 still in bed, and 1 in the bathroom.

i'll make them try the pie when i see them next

Hi Barb! Didn't see you out there while I was typing! Yes, it was our first attempt at an artificial tree in a decade and I have to say I actually like it. Other than missing the smell, and I think you can buy a spray for that! Oh, and there are a LOT more presents under the tree tonight. Although I never got to the Santa stuff. Maybe next weekend. DH is out of town all week in exciting places like Lima, Ohio and St. Louis! I don't think we could live without a basement anymore. I can't imagine where all the junk would go.

Speaking of which, not sure if I told everyone that we're working on cleaning out the basement for DS15 so he has a place to "hang out" with his friends and GF. Not making too much progress on the cleaning part, but we did buy him a futon yesterday, a 32 inch TV today, Xbox 360, Halo 3, and Rock Band, and some space heaters. Shhh - these are his main Christmas gifts, but we're getting there at least. I'll show you guys a pic of the finished area, if it ever becomes a finished area!

Hey yourself.... i was ketchuping....when I do that, i keep going and don't check what's going on while i'm here (lose my place).... Sounds like DS 15 is gonna have a "mini rent-free bachelor pad"....better watch out..... (or at least install hidden cameras!)

i'll try to get that tree done soon.

Thanks for noticing....got to post my 'dance' today on the 'dancin' thread'...finally broke under 200 days till vacay... (i know...pathetic...but, we're really looking forward to next summer's trip!)

Evening everyone!

Well went the city and had a fabulous time! Will get to that in a bit (with pics)

But ended on a sour note. A friend and former coworker passed away on Friday from cancer. She was 77. When I was a lifeguard, she was our gatekeeper (she checked the badges as people entered the pool). One of the things the guards would love to do is sit and chat with Ines on our lunch breaks. She was a feisty Italian who loved talking about food and good times. Her husband had passed a number of years ago, and lived with her brother, who passed 3 years ago.

Well she had lung cancer and leukemia which she disclosed to us at the end of her "career." But even still, she always loved the young people and chatting with any soul who needed it. She was like a therapist to the workers and patrons. I actually hadn't felt upset until now and I can feel the tears welling up (and I'm not an emotional person).

Just wanted to take a minute to reflect and to seriously appreciate what we have.

Glad you had a fab time in the city....too bad to come home to news like that! It's hard when someone so sweet passes away...someone like her who seemed like a sister or Mom to everyone..... But, she had a good, long life... 77 isn't anything to snub!!! Now she is with her husband and they are happy again! Lucky you for knowing her and having her as your friend.....now she's an angel watchin' over you....

Well across from the tree, was this interesting sight..

It was a little less than a block long and filled with pennies. People were constantly throwing pennies! Just give me five minutes in that place....

Then we hit up the Disney Store....love this place!

And of course, for you Mac, this "Naked" individual!

Actually...good you got to see it before they retire it... I heard a news story that they are going to do away with the regular litebulbs and replace them with LED lights (or whatever that brighter, more "green" bulb is)... didn't catch the whole story, but I did hear a blurb about it....

Marcie, I did check out your DS's surfing video. It looks like he had a good time! You did good on posting it for your first try! We still haven't tried posting a video on youtube. Oh, and I am envious of your basement!!! Not many folks in southwest Arkansas have basements and it would be so nice to have all that space! Your DS is lucky to be gettin' it too, but like Barb said.....you might wanna put some cameras down there......privacy is good, but there is such a thing as too much privacy! (I'm a protective mom! maybe overprotective)

Barb, we still don't know about DH's schedule for next year yet....so many changes going on right now, but I'm still shooting for June 22-26 (tentatively at least).
