I didn't know why the window was stuck, so I took it to our local repair guy. He pushed on the window with his hand, yanked the film out, then rolled up the window. He looked at me and said, "That'll be a million dollars."

Isn't this what they refer to as "blonde moment"?

Hmmm... So THAT is what it is...being a Leo! Here I've been thinking it's the 'blonde' thing....

I sorry....wuz doing that 'work' thing, then the "Bubba" thing...and the "DH" thing...decided to grab a bite to eat (cuz I hadn't eaten since breakfast) and had to massage a kink outta DH's back, get cleaned up and by that time, it was after 11pm...so, hadta get some sleep.

I'll be better tomorrow....have the day off, will check in early and have to run out shopping...

That's a great memory to have Feel lucky! I think it's so neat when families can spend time like that together... I am very big on family tradition, heirlooms, etc.... To be able to have the memory must be heartwarming! My Grandma tried to teach me when I was little...i was butterfingers all over the place But, I always cherish that time together ...and I give my knowledge of "braiding" to her...she taught me.....

Every once in a while DD (24) still has me french braid her hair. I wish I could do mine.

Every once in a while DD (24) still has me french braid her hair. I wish I could do mine.

It is very difficult to braid your own hair....my GF can do it (even french braid her own hair!), I can't (not that i wear it that way anyhows...) Would you believe when I graduated cos. skool, I couldn't french braid? I knew how to do it, but got all 'butterfingers' again....after some practice, I'm a whiz now..... Now, just happy the ole fingers don't cramp up afterwards..... (gettin' old sux )

Do you enjoy prom season with the updos and braids, or is it a pain in the butt? My previous stylist hated it when girls brought in pictures of what they wanted, and the hairstyle was just impossible to recreate cause they didn't have the right kind of hair, or the expected her to have all the beaded hair clips etc. Plus they didn't tip very well if at all.

Hate it. They are picky and b**chy!!! And yes, most of the time, what is on top of their head isn't what I need to create what they want.... But, usually I had them come in beforehand for a "trial"...like a bride would.... and we'd get the 'kinks' out. Luckily, my prom gals are behind me...besides 1 client/friend's daughter.... Most of my "kids" are of elementary age, I have a couple middle skool boys, 1 high skool boy and 1 girl...the rest are in college (a few of them freshmen)...so, I don't fret prom season anymore. I am also at the point where I really only do MY clients...not any 'salon' clients.... And yes, after the dress, hair (usually minimum of $50), shoes, purse, jewelry and other expenses, the Mom's are tired of shelling out $$ and cheap-out on the tip...but, if they do that, they mysteriously have a price increase next time i see them

Nope...haven't changed anything in the sig.... I won't 'post it' if it doesn't look right to me.... I 'preview' it, but have found that even then, when it's actually posted on the boards, sometimes it's cut off.... so, it must be your settings/monitor I know Marcie had a problem, but I think she figured it out.

Marcie... I wanted to mention I read about the "knitters" thing.... glad to hear he had fun...sometimes with boys that age, 'hanging out' with lol's (Little Old Ladies) isn't "cool"....he's an admirable young man to have fun with lol's and learn a thing or two....good for him

And with that said.... I believe all 7 of my ketchup bottles have run dry....time for bed.....

Have to hit up the dentist AGAIN.. Now it's the other side of my mouth and the bottom row!!! I can't bite into a pickle slice on that side its so sensitive!! I am gonna make this dentist rich....
