before i post in reply to the other posts, let me say this:

why should we wait until mid or later october to get together?
let's do it sometime this summer!
for the ones that work, we could do a 3 day weekend.
take off work on a friday.

meet on a friday and later on sunday, all will go back to their own 4 walls.

the homies with kids, might not be able to get away during the school year.

we can do the homies, or the homies with their family.
i will leave my family at home............
you really don't want to meet mine. but i'll bring their pics with me.

at first i thought we would decide on a location and hotel and book rooms.
we could squeeze together to save money if need be.
if some want to bring their kids/beans with or without the spouses, that would be kewl also.

1. who wants to meet in the summer?
2. what city do we want to go to?

i've been saying philly as they are places we could sight see..
if you have suggestions, share it with us.

i think it is lori/ok, marcie, ws, rose, il, mac il, for the midwest.
i think the rest is on the east coast or somewhere near PA.

Well...I sometimes miss the snow. After all...it's kinda hard getting into the Christmas spirit when it's 85 degrees outside....but....I manage. ;)

It's supposed to get into the mid 40's tonight here.

40's eh..........poor baby :sad2:

Well....my vote would be.....Orlando for a quick getaway.

Who's with me?

The Cocoa fans have started some trash talk and they aren't very good at it so all in good fun I'm sending them the following in an email:

Q. How many Tigers does it take to win a State Championship?
A. No one knows and we may never know.

Q. What did the Tigers get on their FCAT's?
A. Drool. No, the principals sopped up the drool and filled in the answers. Oops, that was last year.

Q. Did you hear Coach Wilkison is only dressing 10 players for the Tigers game against Naples?
A. The rest will have to dress themselves.

Q. Did you hear the Tigers gave up field turf in favor of an asphalt Wal-Mart parking lot?
A. That is so their cheerleaders won't be tempted to graze.

Q. Fat as cows, huh, are they pretty?
A. Their cheerleaders are so ugly that they worked Halloween Horror Nights without makeup.

Q. How ghetto are the Tigers?
A. They keep their food stamps in a money clip.

Q. How do you keep a Tiger off your lawn?
A. Install a goal post.

Q. Is Naples in another league?
A. They sure are and that doesn't mean we bowl on different nights.

Q. Shall we go to the game?
A. No need and keep the reservations in Orlando for the 14th.

Q. Who is going to win?
A. Naples 41-9.

I know we have some football fans on this thread that can help me add a few?

Well all I can say is OUCH!!!! And :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Just watch out, that kind of ammunition is what fires our football team up. you wouldn't believe how many games we have won from shear desire and anger.

Same thing happened this weekend with OU & Missouri. Missouri, or Misery as we like to call them, trash talked all week and they found out just who the better team was.

By the way did anyone see that 6 of the coaches in the coaches poll still had Missouri ranked above OU? Umm, did they see the trouncing we gave them. Never any question who was gonna win that game.

Wow, you guys did alot of chatting yesterday!

I can't keep up! :headache:

Well have a great Tuesday everyone!

Hi Katie! hope you had a great day!

See, there? We solved both Marcie's problems. Now she knows what the weird light in the sky was AND why her arm hurts. Dang, we're good!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

CONGRATS!!!!! Ya know...on this thread....ya just never know what that TF might pull out of your context... :scratchin

You were just hangin out in all the wrong places before..... ;)

Scary huh? Gotta watch what I'm saying now.

i think we ALL do....we worry when she goes mia w/o a note

i know I worry when she goes MIA.

How the blessed TF missed THIS one, I'll never know :confused3

What did I say about watching what I say. I think that was before I knew I had tags though! :rolleyes1

Now I'm getting depressed....what ELSE is wrong with this freakin state I live in?!?! (oh..and what is "only 3.2" ?? :confused3 )

Most places beer is in excess of 3.2, as in real beer, ours is pretend beer. When we drink in other states the beer is twice as strong as ours.

so Marcie was abducted by the same aliens who took Gemma
and Tricia has a new band, called jumping naked boys.

everyone wants to be a redhead in another life,
and we are gonna meet in PA.

life is good. :goodvibes

:thumbsup2 Sounds like you got it!

Sharon and I are both still inundated with the fallingsnow- lots more coming doen now. :scared1:

I ran the snowblower yesterday. i dont like the new one.
Iliked the old one.

yet- it is wayyyyy better than shoveling!:rotfl2:

:headache: YUCK! Stay in and stay warm.

Nah, I don't have enough posts for the tag fairy to notice me.

i received my first tag when i had 5 posts.
the 2nd tag on my 9th post
and the 3rd tag on post 11.

all those tags were evenually replaced with others though.

That's true...still weird thou. I wonder if he can still.....?

Hey, I'm off work on Fridays! Wow - that's almost as coincidental as my husband and all his Packers' games!

And did someone say lime green crocs?

Think it oh oh over
Think it oh oh over

Thanks Todd , now I have that song stuck in my head. :hippie:

I KNEW there was a logical reason that my arm hurt! Needed you guys to figure it out for me! :rotfl:

Actually DH insists it was all light that night because of the reflection from all the snow? :confused3 Doesn't make much sense to me because otherwise it'd be light all winter since there always seems to be snow! But who knows!

Enjoyed the jokes - sure they could be applied to a lot of teams and I thought I'd heard most of them before but a lot of them were new to me!

I'm being bored at work here (yet again - are you seeing a trend?), but when I get a chance I'll try the multi-quoting thingie! I thought people did multi-quotes by just clicking on each post individually and cutting and pasting, OR by writing the QUOTE things themselves. Never knew there was a button for it and I've been here 8 years (ok, not looking very hard, but still!).

That's what we're here for Marcie! Any more aches & pains you need us to diagnose.

Well, I was really thinking the same thing as DH, there was probably a low, thick cloud cover and the lights were reflecting off of it and the snow. It does happen hear at times and that is what the light is. You can tell from out in the country looking back at the city lights.

The button to multi-quote was added not all that long ago. It hasn't been there the whole eight years.

Lori - congrats on the tags!

Hockey must be like soccer in terms of it never being cancelled! Remember when my son, who was only NINE at the time, still had stupid soccer PRACTICE on 9/11. Called the coach to see if he still had practice, and the attitude was like, "Why wouldn't there be?" I was kind of like "Um, because of everything that's happened today?" :confused3 Then the coach kind of backtracked and said something like "Well, of course if it affected you PERSONALLY, it's fine for him to miss today". I was just wondering if there was anyone it didn't affect personally!

So anyways, don't get me started on the soccer thing. Number of games in lightning with a ref saying "it's far away". Kids played baseball for several years and I swear if it looked like rain they called the game. Many times they got to go to a soccer game or practice that they were planning on skipping when baseball was cancelled (and of course soccer still went on) that same evening!

Did I mention I'm still bored?

Thanks, I like finally having tags.

I remember that story about the soccer coach. What a moron!

They watch the weather for lightning here and cancel games once it is within 10 miles or so. Probably not soon enough though.

Will at least you are getting to stay caught up with the posting! See, that job is good for something after all, you're getting paid to talk to us!

I remember when we were in Charlotte one of the newpaper columnists making fun of people running out and stocking up on bread, milk, gas, etc. as soon as snow was predicted. The article said something like "As the snow piled up 2 and 3 flakes deep..." :rotfl: !

Okay, I'm going to do some work now. Really. Right after I check my email! ;)

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Sure you are!

Oh, and I have to go to the Post Office for work this afternoon to do a bulk mailing. Don't you think that would be a good time to send packages and presents, including my ornament swap? Exactly what I thought! :cool1:

Great idea!

Hopefully an Oct. meet in Philly...... :thumbsup2 ........(at Tracie's :rolleyes1 )

Oh boy!!!!

Sorry you don't like your new blower.....but, yes...it IS better than shoveling..... maybe Sharon can borrow your blower? :confused3 How much have you gotten?? I feel bad for ya's... :( ....maybe a white Christmas for you guys?)

Gotta be better than shoveling! Surely!

DS got a new issue of Scientifc American today and on the cover it says:
"Are alien microbes invading our cells?"
I think Lori is on to something with that probe idea.... :rotfl:

See I knew that was what was wrong!

of course feed him and let him go on internet and then ask Dw if we have any superglue to glue the hair back LOL:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Did the superglue work??

That would be a GREAT name for a band! I can just see it now...

Opening for White Snake and the Rolling Stones, it's Jumping Naked Boys!

And the crowd goes wild... :cool1:

They can open for Hannah Montana...their more her age group!
Loved the pics Sharon!

Now I'm getting depressed....what ELSE is wrong with this freakin state I live in?!?! (oh..and what is "only 3.2" ?? :confused3 )

i always heard 3.2 beer referred as rabbit pi$$.
one time when i was 19 years old, i got a friend to go with me to a border town in wisconsin. at that time, a 19 year old could legally buy 3.2 beer.

i told my mom i was staying with a friend, and she told her mom the same thing.
it only took us 6.5 hours to get to wisconsin from st louis area.
we got a dump of a room at a flea bag hotel.
bought a 6 pack of rabbit pi$$.

i took one sip and said yuck.
my friend got drunk and she puked.

funny how your question of what is 3.2 shakes up some of those past memories...............
i'm sure this was more 411 than you really wanted to know

so Marcie was abducted by the same aliens who took Gemma
and Tricia has a new band, called jumping naked boys.

everyone wants to be a redhead in another life,
and we are gonna meet in PA.

life is good. :goodvibes

can i use that in my cliff notes for tricia and janet?
you are gooood penny

The second one is kind of funny. Last year Cocoa's school board fired 4 principals for providing false information on the FCAT's.
Give the kids a start by telling them that Carrot Top is an alumni of Cocoa.
And the classic "cuckoo for cocoa puffs".

carrot top is so yesterday at my school.
even britney is behind times with them.

but i thought it was funny.

I KNEW there was a logical reason that my arm hurt! Needed you guys to figure it out for me! :rotfl:

so they say it was aliens.........but you look so normal marcie

i smiled when i read the last part of above.......
:rolleyes1
that is so cute

DS got a new issue of Scientifc American today and on the cover it says:

I think Lori is on to something with that probe idea.... :rotfl:

i am so glad i know smart people rather than the smartass people

of course feed him and let him go on internet and then ask Dw if we have any superglue to glue the hair back LOL:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

let me tell you......a mother would catch on very quickly to that.....
and would use that superglue on the mr. in a surprise way when they were asleep....jk

That would be a GREAT name for a band! I can just see it now...

i'm stealing those lines also for my cliff notes.

I bought my ornament today. It wasn't exactly what I wanted, but it was close enough that I could live with it.

I have more pics from Christmas on the Square and decorating the tree, etc, but I'll have to get to them later. We must have baths and pjs before Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer comes on!

do what any normal nice person would do.
wait until real dark and carol and deb don't have the lights on at their place.
move those suckers to your yard and plug them in.

now you have as much decorations as they used to.

and for your other statement.....
i'm sure the ornament you bought the homie will be cherished by her.
i know who you have and she will love it.

I promise you guys are stuck with me! No need to send rabid dogs.

I never get tired of reading what you post and it’s not crap.

They make jelly belly’s that taste like sh!t!!!!!

Sounds like lots of fun to me!

Did you enjoy your snow day???? Other than shoveling the snow that is!

Now I want to know what that tatoo is going to be???/

Well the problem with having so much time to post at one time is that I always seem to then not have any time for a few days.

If I don’t get some time to post I’m not ever gonna make it to 3000 before the end of the year.

Oh that’s bad!

Well, all I can say is tell your coach not to say anything to make the team/coaches mad. They won’t have a chance to win if they make them mad. I wish you luck, I guess.

No quiting going on here! But I don’t have any lime green crocs.

Well, don’t be offended. I just got super busy. I am going to try my best to get completely caught up tonight.

Yeah KATIE where is that Halloween pic.

I’ll third it although I am a little slow. And I gotta ask too, why did you hide it?

And this is a wonderful family! I love you guys!

Me too!

Yep, and you didn’t want me bringing any logic in to the discussion either.

Hey I know how to work with a mac, Mac. What you need to know.

Umm, and where were those kids while you were shoveling snow????

Me too! I don’t like the stuff at all.

Ahh, thanks!

I am an angel, aren’t I?

I see all the invisible writings. And what did you forget?

Saw that one too.

Totally agree with that one, and I’m not the stupid one either. I’m actually free of that one till late Thursday! Yippee!!!!!

So we are measuring our butt’s with fire hydrants now?

Very pretty!

Gotta love the old family pics!

Woo Hoo!

Nope, I don’t remember but I say let’s shoot for 9K anyway!

And where is the tag fairy for that one? You are living dangerously.

um, i forgot what i was going to comment on but it was a good one.
maybe something in reference to crocs.
i don't have any and never will.......

but i can paint my toenails lime green if that will help

Hi guys! Happy evening! Home from work so not quite as bored!

Meant to write a story about the hydrant markers. DH works for a large company in Green Bay that has centers all over the country. A few years back, they had a potential candidate up from either Mississippi or Alabama (can't remember, but deep south). He saw the markers on the hydrants and asked what they were for. One of the guys explained they were so the fire department could find the markers when the snow was too deep.

The guy burst out laughing, and was like "No, REALLY, what are they for?" Saw everyone's bewildered looks as they replied, "Um, really!" He immediately said "That's it! No WAY am I coming here!" :sad2:
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

It was either that song or an irritating little ditty they play at WDW...but I'm not sayin which one. :rolleyes1
I'll say it :rotfl:

It's a world of laughter
A world of tears
It's a world of hopes
And a world of fears
There's so much that we share
That it's time we're aware
It's a small world after all

I'll say it :rotfl:

It's a world of laughter
A world of tears
It's a world of hopes
And a world of fears
There's so much that we share
That it's time we're aware
It's a small world after all

Just remember.......you said it........I didn't. :rotfl2:
5.gif
:rotfl2:

No no..just thought I'd share with everyone. I can't wait until the special comes on again this year!
7.gif

Wait, we already watched the special this year. It was the newly "restored" cartoon with a super bright neon green Grinch. :confused3

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

It was either that song or an irritating little ditty they play at WDW...but I'm not sayin which one. :rolleyes1

It is better than shoveling....and don't call her Shirley! :lmao: :lmao:

Okay, is the irritating little ditty from WDW anything that plays from the "singing rocks"? We always joke when we walk around the parks and you get close to a planter that has a speaker built into one of those fake rocks... "AAAGH! The rocks! The rocks are singing!!!" We're weird. I know.

Sharon has Stop in the Name of Love stuck in her head. Now, I have the movie Airplane! stuck in mine. :rolleyes1
