Ok tell me this isn't wierd I called AAA about ressie for RPR in july cause wanted to find out about the deposit and they told me to call universal and I did and they found the ressie and credit card number and said since it was on file but he didn't know the rates they were charging me and I told him the rate and he told me he assumed they had to have charged me something but nothing took off my card yet

Hi all

I must have missed a lot of action here on the DIS in the past 24 hours
I read up about the moving of threads,etc. on the CB boards and also here.
Oh well. I just find things on the DISboards cyclical (going in cycles) every few months in general. That's what I observe anyways

Anyways, if anyone wanted to know, I helped Chrissy do a Cape Fear, North Carolina/Wilmington NC poster for her school project that was due this morning. Ok, I did the majority of it for her, but I had Chrissy color in the water and sand(beach areas). I pasted pics I cut out from a brochure I found at home also. Pasted pics of plantation mansions from the Wilmington,NC area. And I had typed up a little info for it and I pasted
my typed stuff on the posterboard. I worked on it most of the day yest.
Hope she gets some kind of a good grade on it. I'm sure she will, as homework is modified for her.

Tomorrow is Matthew's Pinewood Derby for Cub Scouts
We have check-in for it in the early afternoon.
I already sprayed cooking spray on the wheels of his car this morning. Cooking spray makes the cars go faster


I do feel bad I can never "catch-up" here and individually reply to everyone.

Well, looks like I missed alot. The DIS was slow, and the Community Board posters complained about anything and everything. Gee, it was like I never left.

Anyhoo, hope I am in the right place. If not, someone please tell me where to go. (my employees could probably help on this one)

About the movie DS wanted to see that was PG-13. I can't remember - suffice to say it was about high school kids trying to get into college, and had alot of drinking, drugs, sex. I'm sure it did not win any Oscars.

Lawrence - We booked through AAA for Hard Rock Hotel in the past. I went in person to our local AAA office. They were able to get me a deluxe room that was NOT showing available on the website. I booked in April, and we had to give her a credit card. I think the deposit went on a few weeks later and then the full cost went on before we actually even left for the trip. That was the ONLY thing I was unhappy about. The full charges went on about 3 weeks before our travel dates. Even so, we will book again for AAA the next time we go.

Also, homies - just read a few remarks about the "Clique threads". Someone said she was booted off her thread for disagreeing or something. Anyway, just wanted to say THANK YOU to Mac for starting this thread. And also THANK YOU THANK YOU for the kindness of the homies. I can't see anyone getting booted off here.

I remember the conversation regarding political talk, and the majority said to leave it at the door, so as to not risk offending someone.

I called the AAA office and when they couldn't find the ressie the lady at AAA took my number and said she would get to the bottom of it and when she called back she told me universal found the ressie and for me to call them.
when I called universal they said they had it and credit card info and according to the guy I talked to they should have already charged my card for something like one night deposit and that I had until 6:00pm on july 3rd to cancel .

I think I saw the same girl's post. Where she had been part of a mommy board and got the boot when she had some personal problems or something?

Hola amigos and amigas!

Had our PTA luncheon today.....DELISH! So stuffed!

Went and worked out to burn off some of those calories

Then we had our annual water basketball tournment with a team from upstate NY.....

And....

It was the first time we won in 7 YEARS!!!



So in celebration, our boys decided to toss me in...is there something wrong with a 17 year old picking up his coach, flingin her over his shoulder and then tossing in the pool?

Guess I should appreciate before I gain more weight.....



Saw that thread from the CB...I never go over there, but I have to say, do people have nothing better to do than complain?

I was going to post on the other thread, but do we need to bury that one? I had posted this morning before I went to work and told about my misadventures on the icy porch. Thank you to all who showed their condolences for my injuries! My knees are bruised and and my hands are sore, but I'm a pretty tough gal...like I said earlier, I am clumsy and do stuff like that all the time.

Yea, the water was actually warm.....but its about 20 degrees out!! I had a spare set of jeans and a wife beater in my car. But no undergarments....so imagine how embarrassing it is making sure to cover myself up so my boys don't get a peep show!!!

And word of advice......jeans and commando, is a NO NO!

The board speed is MUCH improved. I don't know if it's the mega threads that are causing it but it's much better now.

I don't know who Mary Poppins is (Post #63), but I like her.

Mary Poppins was a wonderful nanny who sang and danced and made chores fun She even slid UP the banister and could fly with her umbrella
