Hi everyone....this is my first post! I actually tried to post first on the picture thread, but it said something about my post count being too low to post links? (they weren't links, but pictures, so hm). I used to be a big Disney nut, but these days am more of a Universal fan. I had an annual pass to UO for 5 years or so, but nowadays I actually work there, so no need. :) Anyways, hello!

Welcome ggddaee! Glad to have you join us. You do have to have a certain number of posts to be able to post pics, not sure what the numberut it is but it isn't a lot. Just keep posting and you will then be able to post your pics. They do have to come from a site like photobucket and are posted as a link.

Again, welcome!

You know me? Scary! :)

How does one choose a favorite attraction?!? I'm more of a thrillseeker so enjoy DD and Hulk a lot, but I love the shows too. And MIB, of course. I am going to need to work on my high score after reading the thread on here. I don't think I can choose!

This is my fave

one of the homies is the leader of the pack with MIB scores...

i went with a UO employee back in october on MIB.
i was taught some of the tricks/ secrets in increasing my score.

there is one thread in the UO forums for scoring tips for MIB

Hello ggddaaee and welcome to the Universal homies! I'm sure you'll like it here. :woohoo:  :woohoo:

got a call this morning.

My sister died in Oct 99 from cancer.
Her husband died last january, complications of many things.
Her son, my nephew, age 34, died of a heart attack last night.
He was the youngest of 4 boys.

:sad1:
Heart attack at 34???? Yikes! :scared1:

And for you, Penny:

Penny, so sorry for your loss, you just never know when things like this are going to happen.

Hi Mike. Good to see you.

I agree, choosing favorites is hard but I will give it a try.

At US - MIB
At IOA - hmm, I think it would have to be Popeye & Bluto's Bilge Rat Barges. We laugh so hard ever time we ride that ride. Guess it would have to e the favorite.

Oodles of Leos, who would've though it...we're due for a "what's your sign" poll.

it's Football day in America; break out the chicken wings & loaded fries:banana: 40 degrees @ game time in Pittsburgh, going to mid 60's on Tuesday (my prayers have been answered)

banana-shake.gif
reminds me of Richard Nixon...i am not a theif with the victory sign flashing (dating myself here lol)...don't freak/no disrespect; was thinking of visiting his museum next summer when in the area; speaking of -

marci - which beach is the "easiest" drive as in non-freeway or short freeway commute? Huntingdon?

mac - so blessed to say i've never seen those tiny crabs:rotfl:

barb - didn't ask who won, just happy he played; believe they may be out of the race already.

kfed - :woohoo: ; ds's coach had many of his star players blow off practice over Xmas break (no valid excuses). He told team he would punish them; they sat 1 min of beginning of game. IMO he is an idjit

lori - got my dues statement today, just a small hike-whoppee. Now if they'd only send out a planner lol. know you have a son in your 20's, assume you've been doing the sports thing for years too. Believe it's 23 years of away games, cannot imagine the mileage:eek: . I don't mind traveling, it's just that my son prefers me not to travel long distances when he has a snowball's chance of playing...works for me. told my oldest DS that I will attend all his home RiverRats games (80+ miles RT) in support; won't drive to the away games.;)

penny - :sad2: stinks

jodie - how was ur trip!

hello to "g" are you an adult? don't want to risk offending a minor:goodvibes

For some reason, I always seem to be "lucky" enough on Popeye's to get the one seat that hardly gets wet. I've ridden the ride alone many times, and the kids riding on the same raft always think it's hilarious that their parents are getting soaked and yet my hair is still dry. I've played it up a bit too, making fun of the others, point out how dry I am. Then I get the "just wait, your turn is coming!" If I end up getting soaked or not after that, the outcome is funny either way. On a few of my "dry" rides, I've had people wanting to ride AGAIN with me to assure that I get wet!

BTW, to answer your earlier question, I'm at US.

Only in body. :) In spirit....I'm not so sure. ;-)

Thanks to everyone for the welcomes. I'm glad to see there is a large UO fan community.

we gave lots of homies that love the darkside...
since our forum section is small on the UO side of the disboards, we end up running into each other along the past years.

i sent a pm to the mods in march and asked if we could have a chat thread where the UO homies could hang out and yak. i explained we would be eaten alive if we had a chat thread in the community board.

permission was granted and thus was born this thread.
there are many here that do the mouse and universal. we all play nice and always want to feel that all readers, lurkers, mouse ears are welcomed here.

so glad you are hanging here today with us.

Doesn't sound like much punishment.

Got my dues statement day before yesterday. Was pleased with the small increase. Still no planner here either. What is the deal? Didn't we used to get them around September?

Actually Mikey started playing baseball at the same time Chris did. He was only 3 at the time. This will be his 14th year to play. We have been travleing between the kids for that many years. Most games around here are not that far away. The majority are less than 30 minutes one way. I am so glad Mikey decided that he only want's to play baseball now. We don't have to do the football & basketball games unless we want to. Since Chris graduated 4 years ago we have probably only been to 5 football games. Haven't been to any basketball games. Can't say that I miss it either.

i see someone here has been inside the new kwik e mart....
like the avator.

so kewl

Hey Homies!
There is absolutely NO WAY for me to "ketchup" around here!!! We've got to get our router installed, so I can have my connection back! The boys have had the internet tied up on Xbox Live for weeks! I'm just popping in to say a quick "hello" before they kick me off! Someone is going to have to supply me with the Cliff Notes! I hope everyone is doing ok!

I made my son buy a router so he can play Xbox live. Now, before you think I'm some mean parent, he IS 20 years old, has a full time job, saving for tech school, ect.... After all, I pay the cable bill, so I am paying for the bandwith ;)

No, I don't think that's mean, he's 20 years old! I can see our kids living with us at 20 or so... The way I see it is that if they are trying to do well enough to get out on their own, why not help them out and give them a better chance at it?
Our kids are 10 and 13. We have had a couple of routers and they went out on us....so we just bought a new one and DH is the one who hooks up all the electronic stuff. I probably could do it, but it's best if I let him do it when he gets time...

We use a router too. Have all 4 computers hooked on to it. It sure has made our life easier. DS (my resident computer geek) also made it so we can share each others printers. I have a super photo printer, DH has a laser printer, kids have cheapo printers. So they use DH's all the time!
Here's a photo of DS building a new computer for himself. Notice the clear case. It has blue lights in it, pretty cool!
He also built a server (not sure why :confused3) that resides in his closet...has 3 monitors hooked up on his desk (again, I don't know why! :confused3 )
