Here you go, good to -40!

Came by to say goodnight homies and just trying to recoop after DS 16 came in from his room with a light bulb and said he seen sparks and part of the bulb flew out after check and finding out the circuit breaker kicked off and was still off I told him let me take a pair of wire cutters and try to get out the metal piece and needless to say I stepped up in a chair and took a header and hit my head on thier bunk beds and landed on my knee and the whole time they are screaming are you okay dad and all I could say was hang on a minute so i could make sure I didn't run the wire cutters through me.
But ok just some bumps and bruises and did get the metal out:rotfl2: :lmao:

Geez Lawrence. Glad you weren't hurt.

Sharon you win my Sooners coaching staff!

I am totally numb right now and drooling, but NO PAIN!!!

Okay, WHERE IS THE TAG FAIRY???

I've read everything, I promise.

I took the boys to Target for pics. Got some shots of each one by themselves, then a couple of them together. Too cute. I can pick them up Jan 16th, so you'll have to wait until then for the pro shots.

OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS what an education getting 2 boys in tuxes was for me! I would love to have a video of Brad & I trying to wrangle those fidget fussers into shirt, pants, dress socks, tie, vest, suspenders, dress shoes and jacket. Holy friggin cow what a mess. I can still hear the echos of "Hold still for a minute will ya?" in my head.

Daniel decided to throw a fit in the middle of getting the tux on him. Brad picked him up and got a tuxedo dress shoe to the groin. Oh my. If you could have seen him double over... reflected a hundred times in those dozens of mirrors... whispering "little sh*t kicked me in the b@lls"... it wasn't funny. I know it wasn't funny. But, oh, it was awfully close to being funny. :lmao:

We have learned that we will need a good 30 minutes or more to dress our guys. Let's just leave it at that or the tick in my left eye will come back.

We got caught in Atlanta traffic for a bit on our return from picking up the tuxes and getting their pictures made, so I've been in full fledged panic mode since getting home. It is now after midnight and I am finally ready to call it a day. We'll be away by 9am in the morning (I hope), but I'll try to check in one last time in the morning before we go. If I don't make it online, you guys try not to have too much fun without me. I'll be back sometime Saturday evening.

Still awake here in Almost Heaven West Virginia tonite.

WVU won over Oklahoma by 48-28. (sending apologies to lori) The state and our team really needed this win after a disasterous December.  :cool1: :cool1:

Katie - glad you finally figured out your dental problems so now you can start recovering. Sorry it was not a "quick fix".

Night all

Well what an experience that was huh? Poor Brad. How did you ever keep from laughing?

Have a great trip and take lots of pics of our boys! Be safe!

Congrats Jennifer. Your boys deserved that one. That kid with themohawk was quite a sweetie! Watching him, then the QB saying that they want the interim coach to be the new head coach made that ebarrasing showing a little easier to swallow. They played with a tremendous amount of heart and we were totally flat. What a surprise.

Way to go Mountaineers.

Congrats to your team! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Georgia Tech (the college team I root for) made it to the Huh? Bowl. I call it that now because when you say Humanitarian Bowl, everyone says "Huh?" In other words, it was barely a bowl game... and then to top it off they got their butts kicked. Then to top that off Georgia (the rivals which we root for whoever is playing against them) kicked Hawaii's butt in the Sugar Bowl. It's gonna be a LOOOONG winter.

Oh, at the moment it happened, Brad was in such obvious pain that I couldn't possibly laugh. The mental image after the fact is hysterical. He didn't help me not finding it funny after by trying to tell me on the drive home that I just can't imagine that much pain. Okay, don't get me wrong... I get that it hurts. I get that it hurts a LOT. I'm sympathetic to that. But, HELLO, see the two children in the backseat of our car? I shoved those little guys out of my body. Wanna discuss pain again? Yeah. Didn't think so.

And now...I have a cold.
Awwww... I'm sorry you're sick Todd. I hope it passes quickly.

Tricia - have a wonderful time at the wedding! Looking forward to the photos.

Honestly, I have no idea what to expect out of the next two days. We'll have a good time, however. We're good at that. ;)

There will be lots of pictures I'm sure.

Well, guys. It is a freezing morning here, but we are about to brave the cold and head out on our drive to Nashville.

I'll see you guys Saturday!

barb, why go to bed so early?
law and order is on at 9, new episode tonight.

Well, for one, I was tired.... and two, nothing on tv to watch.... I used to watch L&O years ago (one of my fav shows), but I lost interest when they kept 'replacing' characters.....that is one reason I watch a particular show...the people portraying the characters. Woke up kinda refreshed today.... i think not having any "new" tv to watch is going to be good.....gonna go to bed early ;) (btw...read that the execs are fearful their 'fall' lineup will be in jeopardy..... )

Even though it sucks what has to be done, at least I know that there is a definite problem....not a "well, it could be this...."

Tell Mr. Mac to get there.....his teeth will thank him for it!!

Yes Mac...did the Mr. get an appt? What happened?? And KFed's right...better to KNOW what the problem is and fix it vs "it could be this" :headache: ....if your old dentist was saying that, I think he just didn't want to admit his mistake :sad2:

I miss snow. I had fun playing in it as a kid. The driving/shoveling.....eh, that I'll have to Learn to Deal With.

Yes, the cold snap will be over on Friday. This makes me feel both :) and :(

:) because I won't have to take my car. Bike/bus will suffice.

:( because I didn't like having to run my AC in December. Hopefully it won't get TOO warm. :goodvibes

And I do expect to spend a Fair Amount on winter clothing when I head into the Mountains.

As a kid, ok, we played in the snow till we were numb....now, don't even attempt! I think you are going to be in for a rude awakening....not only will you have a whole new wardrobe, but your heating bill will be way higher and you will be running the heat way more than the ac! Not sure what they mainly use for heat out there, but no matter what it is (gas, propane, oil, electric), it's sure to not be cheap :sad2: ....and, don't forget, you'll have to get up early to 'clean off your car' (maybe shovel it out?) because that will take extra time in the morning....unless you want to ride your bike to work? Oh yeah.....and you will be putting more gas in your car to get around, so you'll definately have an increase in that part of your household budget ;) I wish you luck moving out there....I know I wouldn't want to!

LLBean is having a winter sale. :woohoo: The original store is here in Maine and they have a huge outlet store. Both open 24/7.

I bought a bunch of stuff in December while they had free shipping from the catalog (no stores around here)

:scared: ouch! Good thing it's one parent for each boy ;) Always a hassle..but will be well worth it! Hope Brad packed a "cup" for protection  ....And yeah...I "get" that it hurts too....but YOU squeeze a watermelon out of YOUR body and THEN we'll talk :snooty:

And now...I have a cold.

My rent will be taking a HUGE dive, plus I'll be living with someone Reliable, so the bills will be No Problem. It'll also cost less to heat a 1br first floor apartment than it does to heat/cool a 3/2 house. :thumbsup2
And yes, I plan on taking public transport/using the bike as much as possible, even if it's chilly. :scared1:

Just a few months away... :yay: :yay:

goodmorning all!

78 days until spring
almost 6 minutes of daylight gained.

life is good.:goodvibes

Top of the morning to you all, colder than yesterday here

marci - I'm obsessed with traveling, watch my dad pass before he was 62 and didn't get to enjoy his long awaited retirement travels he had dreamed about for years. DH & I are on the same page, we're doing it now when we are still healthy & young enough to enjoy it (of course, that means we eat dog food when we are retired :upsidedow ). Also, when you're DVC you must plan 11 months ahead of time in order to secure the ressies you really want; sorta like it though - gives me time to save $. We tend to travel twice a year, lately just with youngest son. Too hard with the older 2 just starting their careers, etc.; and i need someone to monitor ma @ home jik; middle DS calls it his 4th part-time job. His girlfriend told him to quit complaining about it, said she'd do it for 1/2 of what i pay. Hope to startTR soon as i get the Xmas tree down. fyi, your kids would look good in anything they wore; my middle son luvs to wear pink lol

barb - "put it on your tab":rotfl: do you charge interest weekly or annually; guess you can make him an offer he can't refuse?

rose - sounds like time well spent, I was banned from the 'net unless my son was playing a video game over the break, never realized how much time i spend on it:guilty:

lori - my pet peeve is my kids lurking & peering over my shoulder...i tell them i can do it; they can't & if they don't like it i'll lock their key.

kfed - talk about a lousy BOGO, just think once it's over you shouldn't have any more problems; hope you're covered insurance wise

DM - make sure the oranges don't freeze - will ya? lol

mac - Vitamin V makes me soo sick, along with all the other narcotics I've tried boo-hoo Good old motrin for me hope it keeps working. I was disappointed with L&O:confused3

todd - get better soon

sharon - you r right, it's not the snow it's the freezing sleet, wind...

tricia - always said they need to make tuxes with lycra, ala my jeans

penny - keep that countdown going:thumbsup2

more mts of laundry beckon me
