barb what team does dh follow - flyers? i wasn't able to score any pens tix this year, got online late (20 min) and all they had left for 2 seats together whole season was the $200+ticketmasters highway robbery charge. Shall try & snag a set of cheap seat playoff tix this year if they make it

nah....we 'follow' Flyers, but he went to ECHL Reading Royals game at Sovereign Center in Reading tonight. See, he usually PLAYS Wednesday nites and they're not tonite cuz of the game (lots of the guys have season tickets). The one guy who runs it has 4 seats. Apparently the other couple couldn't go, so he gave out the 2 tickets....one to Frenchie (guy DH plays with) and one to DH. So, he comes home from playing and says "Do ya mind if I go to the game tomorrow nite?" Told him "nope....will put it on your tab!"

So, Fly guys we root for ....very rarely do we go to any games....not worth the hassle

DH went back to work today, worked today and working Thurs and Friday.
I had some quality time with my kids today, as they dont' go back to school until Monday Jan 7. They seem to get upset I spend time on the Disboards, b/c it takes attention away from them.
The kids and I played 2nd edition Disney Scene It board game this afternoon. Then Chrissy put in some home videos from a few yrs back. We watched some stuff back in 2003 and then our Make-A-Wish video from June 2004 trip. I was in some good tears watching our video.
THat's about it.

Ok gotta run, as we are eating dinner right about now.

I'm sure I posted this earlier, but here he is on the first day of school in his green and pink, so yeah, I guess he has some self esteem! Don't think I would wear this shirt as a guy, but my older 2 boys fight over it constantly!

Sorry - I missed this the first time through (and messed up the size and color!). DS15 got to spend some time with her Sunday and Wednesday, but not Christmas or Christmas Eve itself. Then he had a couple days, but we left Friday and were gone Fri-Sun, and they left Sun (before we got home) and were gone until last night. So it was something like 5 days apart!

Although he just got his calc test back and got a C+ on it, and we told him anything lower than a B on tests and he's grounded until the next test that he gets a B or higher (and yes he had the ability/intelligence). So guess he'll be seeing her in school, but not outside of it for this week/weekend at least. He has a test early next week, then finals the following week so he needs to start focusing on school, not GF!

took the plunge & booked part of our trip this June/July...

so far i've got Disneyland reserved (mecca The Disneyland Hotel ) booked for 7 nights, believe we'll be chopping off a day though and...

starting trip in Vegas 1st for 2 or 3 days , just to see the hoover dam - not

even was able to cash in my last AirTran Voucher & only pay for 2 slots home out of LAX @ a reasonable $130 each (way under the going rate-so spoiled by cheap airfare to MCO).

hope the good luck keeps on rolling this year, although I may have to get a real job to support this habit

Well my weather is a little better then yours is right now. It was chilly out to but nothing like what you had.

Hi everyone!!

I'm back and feeling FINE......

I am totally numb right now and drooling, but NO PAIN!!!

Basically what happened was that my old dentist put fillings in without bonding and they were lose. So for the past few years, the tooth has been decaying underneath the fillings.

So in short, I need, not 1, but 2 root canals!!

I am relieved that they found the problem, but at least this time, insurance should fit the bill. So 3 root canals in 3 months....disgusting

So I have an antibiotic and Vicodin as my buddies until Monday when they finish the canals.

Thanks for all your well wishes...you guys are the best!!!

Wow - I draw exactly the same way! I find it amazing when I play with my middle son, who can actually draw things and make them look like what he wanted them to! And my animals also consist of an oval (body), circle (head) and 4 lines (legs) and an extra line (tail) if necessary!



It seems like everyone does this around here! There were ads/articles about maybe 4 or 5 different ones in the paper the other day. No way you'd catch me doing that! I didn't know it was for charity - or maybe they're all not!

Mac - have I ever told you my life's mottos? One of them is from a Bahama's poster I saw in college that said "Life begins at 80 degrees", so no, I don't like the cold. My idea of the perfect place is say LA, where you can live in nice 80 degree temperatures, and yet drive 5 hours and be in the mountains and ski. I hate the weather here. And the skiing sucks too!

We ALMOST moved to California before we moved to Green Bay. I really, really wanted to, but it wouldn't have been the best thing for the kids as far as schools, or for us as far as money and being able to afford anything. But, boy did I want to! And I kept thinking to myself "It's okay if we don't move there now, I'll move there when I grow up"! And then I'd have to say, "No, wait, I AM grown up!" Probably never get there now!



See, that's why I thought maybe I did it wrong. I was thinking more of trying to get them something to remember ME by, rather than something that "fit" them as well. Guess they both worked though since we all seemed to like our ornaments!

when i draw the things you mentioned, i add whiskers so you know it is a cat. one of my many talents.

i think many large cities have the polar bear dive for new years day.
chicago has a couple of clubs that do it yearly.
one in waukegan also does the plunge but they only do it because they are idiots.



i would have moved to the west.
screw the school system..........go with the palm trees and surf !!

it is hard to relocate.
it seems like when most cities have high unemployment, chicago still brings in the people for jobs.
if mr mac did not work in chi-town, we would not be living north.

that antibiotic should start and make you feel better within 24 hours.

Now that is just strange, jk. Bil was just here from Colorado and we wre talking about the difference in yuck weather here versus there. He said that there it clouds up & snows & then the sun comes back out and it is beautiful. Here it just clouds up and is ugly grey forever. I hate it.
